- Here is my full tutorial on how to process vocals and voice overs in Adobe Audition, this tutorial will help you master your vocals properly for your RUclips videos, podcasts and whatever else have you. With the steps in this video you will drastically improve the quality of the audio in your podcasts and voiceovers!
With a little bit of patience and careful listening you can make this into a preset and get your vocal mastering done in less than a minute in many cases. I take you through using the Equalizer, compressor and reverb and the result is fantastic sounding crispy audio!

My podcast came out sounding super good! For a female voice, I did Gently Hi Cut and Gentle Low Boost. Instead of 10% reverb, I did 8% to keep it sounding just a smidge more intimate. I plan to use this as a preset from now on! But if you want it to sound more like radio, 10% sounds just like that, IMHO.
Glad this was useful to you.
One of the best tuts on this topic I've found so far. Will try your approach on my next video.
Glad I could be of assistance!
I still watch this video every single time while editing my videos to perfect the audio. Thanks you soo much
Great and informative video, tons of thanks from Sudan.
easy and dope, that's what we all need
Fantastic, thanks Kagan
Anytime man.
Thanks mate , it helped me remove the background noise of my mic. Cheers!
Thanks for the help buddy. I'm going to have to look at more of your other vids now. Super cool !!!
Awesome tutorial bro. Very basic and easy to follow. I've never used reverb..sounds great. I may have to use this as a base for a preset👍🏽. Shout out to the guy from the quiet storm for the vocals 😂. Nice Dash
+Keyser Reveal Lmao... I forgot to mention in the video that you could basically just find what figures work for you and store as a preset. Definitely saves you time. Another fun fact is I never even master my vocals in audition cuz I can basically do the same thing in final cut... But all in all. Dash was the star of the show. He's gonna get all the girls with the vocals in his videos now 😂
youre the man Kagan, love it the vids, motivated
Bro your the man!! Am learning some new things and I love it, keep it up and do post more, Cheers!
Thanks! Will do!
@@KaganTech Hi Bro, I just completed a song just for trial and error and I do like your tips, keep up!
Huh, I wondered how some people got their voices to sound so clear. It's like having them actually in the same room.
Thank you! This is simple and effective.
+Nikhil Patel You are most welcome.
So good! Easy to follow and I will definitely be testing out these edits in a podcast im working on 👊🏼
Happy to help mate!

Great tutorial. Do you have a tutorial for mastering vocals for singers?
Great! I needed this. For someone who really hates how their voice sounds on recording. I think this would help a little lol Thank you
Nice stuff!
+Quick Tech Reviews Thanks Nick.

Great
+Adobe Audition Tutorials Thank you.
What changes would you recommend if you were to be editing a woman's voice inside Audition? Are there any tips you would recommend for that?
Well I'd say EQ a little different. Especially in the case that said woman has an high pitched voice. You may need to knock down the hi-end and do a lot more sibilance control with a De-Esser.
Damn good!
ok sir
Hi Kagan, can you do a video for vocal without instruments to sound professional if you want i can share the samples where I need help
Your question is very confusing.... Please type that again with a little more clarity and sure you can go ahead and share samples.
@@KaganTech Sorry, let me put this way muslims record naat and noha you can check naat on ruclips.net/video/ZT2BAX4bk48/видео.html i want to produce better results equipment i am using behringer xenyx x2442usb and adobe audition if you help me out with a tutorial video or through email i hope i have made my question clearer.
This Helped Tho But sLOW ON MY SYSTEM..Don't know why!
Thanks for your video and can you please tell me how i record vocal clearly in home please ? And did you record ur voice in home or studio? I use mice Boya PM 700 Thanks brother 🌹🌹 i u
Where i can download this software? Thank you friend.
how do u make a dj drop with bass?
You didn`t watch the levels of the voice bro, at the end, the voice bar was red and orange and that`s not that good, you could normalize it again!
so how can i make a preset that saves everything that you done? so i wont do the steps everytime i have to improve some vocals...like, is there a posibility to do all of that with just a hotkey? thank you!
Easy, just list all the plugins and effects on the side bar in multitrack section instead of using on the file directly and click the save preset icon. Done.
Again, thank you!
Can I use this for music editing,as in my vocals
You could... but it won't be ideal for singing honestly... a completely different set of processes is required in my experience but feel free to try it.
Kagan do you have any for Rap music
I thought you showing the process of using EQ, compression and normalisation was good.
But the last part about adding Reverb, I have to be honest, sounded a bit ridiculous because really, your not supposed to do that for voiceover that’s spoken word ie. RUclips commentary and podcasts.
The whole point of those two examples, podcasts especially, is that the voiceover is meant to sound as clean and professional as possible, reverb is nice but only when used to give a voice some flavour in a song mix that needs it. In simple spoken word voice over, EQ, compression and normalisation is all you need 90% of the time.
Thank you
You should make your own video, it would help a lot of people. thanks for watching.
Kagan thanks for the suggestion, but also thanks for the video anyway.
I wasn’t trying to be an ass, just thought I’d voice my opinion based on practical experience and education and inform.
Keep doing video man.
please I use adobe premiere pro
+SisiLizzy Vlogs Adobe premiere pro is for video work. This is Adobe Audition. For the Audio side of things.
Oh OKay Thanks
you can still apply what you learnt from here to premiere pro because premiere has all the audio effects that has been used here. 2017 premiere pro is great for audio, they even added the essential audio settings
Your voice sound like Gatis Kandis
+Jinggurik Toink I don't know who that is.
what app is this?
