Antibiotics are the worst! My vet has suggested ice cream, pound cake, and muffins. The only way I can get them into my lory is to mix some of her nectar with Karo syrup and add the meds. Even then, it is still a struggle. Goo luck!

Dan, next time ask your vet about anti-biotic injections vs trying to outsmart and stress him into getting that medicine into him. I’ve had that option in the past and it’s a lifesaver (finger saver too). Good luck little bubby, you’ll be ok but you have to take your medicine. Dan antibiotics kill living organisms useful to digestion and health. Which probiotics are important to new gut flora so Max can be healthy again with his new flora. Can you ask bird community to say how to feed Max after antibiotics to grow a fresh colony? Dan, next time ask your vet about anti-biotic injections vs trying to outsmart and stress him into getting that medicine into him. I’ve had that option in the past and it’s a lifesaver (finger saver too). Good luck little bubby, you’ll be ok but you have to take your medicine. Get well soon and I hope your mom is better soon as well! ✌🏼
