Remember Thawn's line about "I made you, I taught you everything". Thawn prided himself that he created the Flash and helped him get fast. But now Barry is faster than Thawn and did it without him.
A part of me wonders if that light in the eyes there was significant in some other way. Like (crazy theory here) they had shot to show that Barry is drunk on Speed Force power or inexplicably tapped into the Negative Speed Force. Yes, I know his eyes are lighting up like they always do. Just speculating whether the shot is going to be more important than just a cool moment.

While I watched this, I had so many memories of things Thawne has said to Barry like “I am the one thing you cannot stop Barry.” Or “we’re enemies, rivals, opposites, reverses of one another.” This scene brought back memories of their early rivalry.

Yes but only if its the last season because it would be nice to end the Flash series with Thawne. Then in the Final episode Thawne and Barry go back again in the past to the Allen house to fight then Barry becomes the Barry that said to S1 Barry that he should not change time (Very complicated with all the barry's in the house (: ) Thawne murders Barry's mother again for the 3-4 time. Barry runs again away (Possibly to his Timeline) after bringing his younger self to safety then the cycle will restart with Thawne losing his speed needing to create the flash and etc. Flash from S8 will be free of Thawne for now because he's stuck back in S1.
Haven't you heard the news of season 8, Tom Cavanagh is out. And season 8 would be the last season of The Flash, I just don't know why. Season 7 is a masterpiece, so I guess no more reverse flash.

Even season 3 was okay, but it could've been dope... Season 5 was watchable and I don't even remember what happened in 4, 6 and 7. Except for Thawne Cameos ofcourse.
I remember back in season 1 i mentioned to friends that I feared that they would run out of ideas since the first season was so good, but after the second season I thought they did have ideas and it would be a really awesome show. Season 3 and 4 is around the place where I realized my earlier prediction was right.

At first I thought he had told speedforce nora do something to him after they beat Godspeed, but then it is just implied that he is slower. if that's the case then how the hell did Thawne keep up during the fight. If we go by this difference in speed, thawne should've been standing gobsmacked next to godspeed and barry and be like "wtf these guys are way too fast".

How? How can you make the perfect perfecter? This feels so much like it would be setting up something big for season 8. The triumphant music highlights Barry's victory and it helps give Thawne even more motive to retaliate next year. I feel like it gives a bit more depth to this big moment where for the first time, Barry is the one that puts Thawne on the floor instead of the other way around. Nice job
Ok that use of flash heroic theme was beyond perfect truly shows how far Barry has come shame I didn't get the same feeling from the episode hell I almost switched off when they made speedforce sabers

amazing edit! i love the original vibes mixed with the new ones. side note, i feel like season 8's villain (hoping theres only one villain ngl) is going to be thawne. eobard said that he would get faster, it kind of left a cliffhanger, building up to the s8 plot of thawne, assuming im correct. also, the flash is ending after season 8, so in my opinion it would make sense to finish off the storyline with thawne, just as it started.

amazing edit! i love the original vibes mixed with the new ones. side note, i feel like season 8's villain (hoping theres only one villain ngl) is going to be thawne. eobard said that he would get faster, it kind of left a cliffhanger, building up to the s8 plot of thawne, assuming im correct. also, the flash is ending after season 8, so in my opinion it would make sense to finish off the storyline with thawne, just as it started.
