- ** This video was filmed whilst taking a brisk walk, as permitted in the current (30/03/20) UK government's regulations on exercise, as well as buying groceries - taking approximately one hour in total. **
Join me as I take a brisk walk into the town of Garstang in Lancashire.
On the way, I reveal some of the objections and unsavory comments I've received, with regards my previous walkabout video.
Also, I take the opportunity to reiterate on the current (30/03/20) British governments restrictions, with regards being outside during the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Whilst outside, I take various photographs of random things that catch my eye and afterwards, tell a favorite tall-tale, about a man who opens a fish shop . . .

People can be so rude sometimes. So sorry that they hassled you. I think the case can be made that you are actually doing a good deed because you are improving your health by exercising and therefore improving your immunity so that you have a better chance of not falling ill to something.. Leleboult after CHG was attacked I left a message about if I was with him they would have wet there pants when I shot my gun in the air. He was so low after that he needed a smile. Have ended like that every time since.

Restaurants, libraries, some parks, all non-essential places are closed. But do you know what is wide open for business and will never be closed? FREAKING GUN SHOPS!!! As if we need more guns on the street. Blows my mind.

Trolls mate, you find the sodding trolls lurking under bridges and under muddy stones in the deep cravasses of hell where they belong... today a friend played live music on facebook on a public page by invititation and sadly she experienced the scum of trolls. mind you the same ones trolled all the acts...as fast as admins removed them they found another way in. Kevin, keep doing what you need to do to cope and whatever it takes to get you through the day. I can always chat to you on Whatsapp or another platform if you want to have a hassle free chat mate.
Greetings from a locked down Cape Town, South Africa. My wife and I booked a holiday to spend 10 days exploring the canals in June. Sadly we won't make it so following your blog, the great pics, spiced with some great British humour is the next best thing. To those self righteous losers out there..kindly stay indoors where you belong and endure your miserable lives.. Keep going Kevin!
I work on the front line helping with the situation , everyone should exercise. 2 m social distancing when out is fine. If you don't like the channel watch something else or if you have the time volunteer and do something with your sad lives. Keep walking Kevin.

The version of the story I heard, many years ago, has another friend walking past and stopping to look at the "Fish" sign. "What do you think?" Says the fishmonger. The other friend says, "Tell you what, why don't you change that to "Fresh Fish Sold Here". It pays to advertise, y'know." Which shows you should never listen to anybody!
Looking back to those terrible times I am still shocked at how horrible people were. How some were so quick to be judgmental and abusive. Now in 2024 when the evidence is coming out how awful both the experimental vaccine was/is and how damaging lockdown was, none of them offer an apology. I'm so glad you batted off their negativity and survived to entertain us with your adventures.

Nice to see you in a good spirit. Yesterday we took a drive to see the Bluebonnets here in Chapel Hill, Texas. It was a beautiful day and lots of people had the same idea. We stopped along the road to take pictures and got yelled at for spreading the virus. Now we were mostly in the car and occasionally stopped along the 'verge' as did others and of course we didn't interact with anyone else. People are frightened and react in strange ways....
I appreciate your videos and especially enjoyed your Travels by Narrowboat. When I was ill it was a great comfort and way of relaxing before going to sleep. We've visited England a number of times but not been to that particular area.
We will get through this difficult time if we all do our part.

Poor Country House Gent, My Wife works in a Food shop, so is classed as a key worker, she has to go to work, being exposed daily to rude customers and people who do not want to social distance, and come right up to her,she comes home every day worried she is infected or worse will give it to me, who has a serious health condition. So to all you stuff social distancing or well it's my civil liberties, shows how you do not care about anyone but your blinkered selves.

I think the phenomenon you are dealing with Kevin is the "Victor Meldrew" syndrome with a little of "Mrs Bucket", sadly the curtain pullers of this world have little else to do than peep from behind curtains and utter the words "I don't buddy well believe it!", often this is the highlight of their day whereupon they can retreat to their armchair and go back to sleep, but now we have the keyboard warriors which has given them a fresh way to vent their misery, Soldier on Kevin, take your legal shopping trip time and film along the way (as it is perfectly legal to do so), and repeat on your legal hour or so exercise, boaters more than many need all the time they get outside, God bless and keep thinking of better days ahead.
I think we all no its serious but there is different circumstances for different area's of England we all don't live in a middle of a city,in which they struggle to avoid each other,fresh air and walking on your own or with your home partner i can't see whats wrong with that,as for as the letter goes we are all going to get telling us what they have been telling us for the last two weeks is an absolute waste of money,use the money on testing kits and wages...we are not all idiots....

The 'Fresh Fish Sold Here Today' story was in a comic book I had when very young. I remember bits of it. The guy telling the fish seller that he doesn't need the sign. 'You don't need the word "Fresh" because you're not selling rotten fish'. And, 'You don't need the word "Fish", because everyone can smell it a mile away'. 'You don't need the word "Sold", because you're not giving them away'. I think the word "Here" was because, 'where else would you sell it?'. And I think the word, "Today", mean't he wasn't selling it any other day. I think I got some of that right. Btw, recently subbed. Caught up with all videos now.
