When I was young, plastic bottles were unheard of. All of the sodas and everything, came in glass. It's all about dollars and cents. It will never be about the consumer in any shape form or fashion. They knew about this decades ago but I'm sure money was involved and they kept it on the down low.

I think the longer the water is in plastic, over time, the more nanoplastics break down or leach into the water. I would love to see the 5 gallon glass jugs come back 👍
We really need to get down into the nitty gritty of what we can do to get these nanoparticles out of our water. I read another article that said that these nanoparticles are so small they cross the blood brain barrier. Could be another cause of dementia and alzheimers. It's unbelievable the amount of poisons we have been exposed to because thorough science has not been done regarding risk of exposure (pesticides, plastics, geoengineered foods.....which is a whole other mindblowing issue). I'm certain the life expectancy is going to severely decrease in the next couple of decades 🙄

Nanoplastics are also in the air we're breathing. Let's face it with, the modern age has destroyed the environment, IMO there's no turning back. Companies would simply lose too much money. The government could make the necessary changes, but lets face it, they would lose money as well.

  • @dominicperez3777

Actually you should get rid of plastic bottles because of nanoplastics inside of them. Plus plastic can deteriorate over time and can contaminate any food or drink you have stored in them. Protip store your water bottles in either glass or stainless steel bottles.

@@suprememagnetic4850 Yes. I am aware that the price will increase because of the material involved, but nobody wants to be contaminated in their body because they unknowingly consumed nanoplastic. That's a violation of the NAP. I get people buy plastic because it's cheap including myself, but we have to switch our plastics into something that doesn't hurt us. We need to change our lifestyles and it begins slowly but surely. I'm planning to replace all plastic bottles and containers in the kitchen with stainless steel and glass so that storage is more effective.

2y ago my mom started drinking only bottled water, her “Healthy” friend talked her into it because of the bleach and other chemicals “They” put in tap water. She didn’t believe me even though I was the operator for the local tap water purification plant. I explained how to the chlorine prevents bacteria and other microbes from forming in the piping, how the polymer is how we separate the dirt from the water AND how the sand (and carbon) filters work. I even took one of her bottles to work, Facetime called her to see the lab results comparing what comes out of the plant vs bottled, I even showed her how the water jug filler (at Walmart) did the exact same thing as a Brita or Pür filter. I only drink bottled if there’s no drinking fountain near.
