    I love this sign, makes me think of all those drunk Irishmen that wanted to place bets on anything, and how that evolved into the Guiness Book of World records.

      🤣 thanks josh! Is that true with how the guiness book of records started?

    Hi ..really enjoy the videos..can I ask where do you get the imitation leave from….and what do you use to thin your one shot paint…thanks in advance and keep the videos coming…Regards Geoff 😎🎨🖌

      Hi Geoff! Thanks for watching the video's. I get a lot of my gilding supplies from handovers in the uk.
      I'm in canada, but the places over here are a rip-off fpr anything gold, paint or brushes. so it still makes sense for me to get it shipped or flown over.

    Buenos días. Siempre veo sus vídeos y soy un aficionado de la rotulacion. Quisiera saber qué tipo de pinceles usa en sus trabajos.

      Hi Francisco, thanks for watching. The brushes im using in this video are the mack 179 brushes. Very soft and mostly for glass or auto work. But they worked well on this.

    Like learning from your videos. What brush did you use for painting 1759 yellow please?

    • @theletterhead
      @theletterhead  Год назад

      Thanks, the paint im using for that is 1shot imitation gold enamel. I then gild it with imitation gold leaf.

      Sorry, the question I asked is "What brush did you use for painting 1759 yellow please?"

      My goodness... No idea how I misread that.
      For that lettering I used a size 0 synthetic brush (series k I think?) From handovers in the UK.

    So why not show how you painstakingly created /constructed each fancy letter ?---you seem to deliberately skip the drawing of each letter go Guiness ?

    • @theletterhead
      @theletterhead  11 месяцев назад

      Carl,
      Quite right, I did skip it as this was from a traced drawing of an original design. Of which this design is a replica of...
      When I used to show that section people skipped through anyway, so I take it out... unless you need me to show you how to trace an artwork?
