The Danish National Symphony Orchestra is a treasure to the World.
Yes it is
There are small mistakes in playing.
Indeed
Amen to THAT
There’s no mistakes😆 These are professionals.
I'm 73 years old and play this and the Book of Boba Fett main theme while riding my stationary bike. I'm pumped up and can ride all day long. This the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, you are right. This is the Way! But on you stationary bike, you're not moving along ;)
Aww I do the same thing on my bike and going to buy a phone holder for my electric bike to listen to music 🎶 have fun! This theme is so uplifting. You feel like you're flying when they get to the middle of the song!
The Force is strong in you
Like a Bantha
You lived through the golden years of Star Wars, the dark era of star wars, the cartoon era of star wars, the crap era of star wars now back to the iron era(mando and bobf)

This is the Way
And " Flæskesværd" 😂
Hilarious 😂
The guy on drums is true MVP of this song. He's killing it for whole song.
This is Jakob Weber Egholm.
Percussionist.
You know you made it as a composer when your composition is played by the Danish National Orchestra.
I don´t know about that, but for me, you have made it as an composer if you spark tears of joy with me... Wonderful composition.
I'd say you know you've made it as a composer when you're working on Star Wars, the franchise with the most revered music in cinema history.
@@JJ-gy9pn these aren't some people, these people were selected out of a whole country to represent the country.
@@the_quadracorn I would have argued that the Bond films have the most revered music, but then I remembered that Madonna thing and the current one "sung" by a coma patient.
Well I mean, the composer of that song was actually from Sweden! And Denmark and Sweden are fairly close.
The Danish National Symphony Orchestra rocks. This is the way.
This is the way.
This is the way. They are roks. THIS IS HOW IT ALWAYS IS

Yes, John Williams created an incredible music, almost impossible music, for Star Wars.
Rogue One hinted at what Star Wars music without John Williams can sound like, feel like, but it did not stray to far from the original template.
With The Mandalorian, for the whole 2 series, Ludwig Goransson truly did the impossible : create a brand new musical signature that is sooo Star Wars, that is so right for the series, and yet that has its own identity and does not just riff of John Williams music.
What is and isn't star wars is such a nebulous concept, but there's something to it that when you see/hear it you know. This is Star Wars.
*Kevin Kiner has entered the chat*
you should listen the music from Knights of the Old Republic, like the main menu theme, i think this music has inspiration from that game, so it is actually not a "new genre" inside the star wars world.
@@bemasaberwyn55 Yeah, He nailed it in Clone wars finale
He is an swedish composer. Fyi.
Question: How do you create a brand new musical feel to the Star Wars universe after John Williams' brilliance?
Answer: This is the way.
Goransson.
This theme has its own sound, but also feels like it belongs to Star Wars all along!

I saw this concert live, and The Mandolorian, the Interstellar suite and the Imperial March gave me serious chills. It was phenomenal and our great danish orchestra outdid themselves
yeah i can't wait for them to upload the Interstellar one!
I saw this live as well, on Thursday evening. (This recording is definitely not from Thursday evening.)
I don't know which evening you saw it, but did you have trouble hearing the vocals on the pieces with lyrics? ("Moonraker", "I See You", etc.)
@@mulrich I saw it the 21st of August. I didn't notice any problems with hearing the vocals. If there were any problems I think it would have went right over my head because I was just overwhelmed by excitement and joy
@@lordvmm6076 by Saturday, they'd probably fixed that. Tuva was barely audible on the opening night, being drowned out by the music.
Mind, I still enjoyed the concert very much.
You just made me so jealous
The force is strong in Denmark!
It's due to close family connections. Danes are from outer space.

Yes they are! If you need a prove, watch Frederik Anderson play hockey in goal. xD

John Williams + Ennio Morricone = The Mandalorian.
This is the way.
Ludwig Göransson must be proud. 😭I am on tears how good it is. Well Jon Favreau
and Dave Filoni they opened the door to the lost world. The MANDALORIAN completely surpasses the last trilogy in all aspects.
what last trilogy? the prequel?
Sequels weren't even that bad. They were gorgeous and still entertaining with great soundtracks. The Mandalorian and The Last Jedi are my I believe to be the best of star wars since Empire
@@tuxedotrooper8821 Agreed. Even if I think my personal favourite movie of the Disney era so far has been Rogue One, if I choose one of the sequels to watch it’s usually TLJ.
Hope you're enjoying Andor :D
Absolutly agree.
You know this is a great song because it would fit perfectly with a full Star Wars symphony show
It really really does. Got me so hyped for season 3 now.
I'm dreaming of going to a concert one day that would play the whole Stars Wars score in movie/show release order
There will always be a need for orchestras. This is the way.
The Mando theme song reminds me of days when I was younger, watching westerns and sci fi reruns all Saturday afternoon.
Wow, David Bateson, Agent 47 himself, with the introduction! And what a wonderful performance! Loyal to the composition but rousing and beautifully mixed.
I had to go back after reading this comment to compute that yes, indeed it is him. Wtf. I love it.
as soon as i first heard him i thought "wow, he really sounds like 47, is it really him?"
I almost liked this comment but it had 47 likes and I couldn't mess that up.
It likely won't be uploaded to the channel, but Bateson also read out a passage from "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", specifically the one about the dolphins' final message to the humans.
When i heard his voice, i thought it sounded like 47.
A godsend to recorder teachers worldwide
🤣
The brass entrance at 0:58 gives me goosebumps each time I hear it
X2
It's so powerful in contrast to the beginning and that last long, high note from whatever instrument that was along with it is so great.
it's the whistle for me lol
Chills literal chills. Big brass carries this piece to another level

Absolute best version of this, no contest.
That's the Hitman voice actor saying: "This is the way", in the beginning lol
I just love the part at 2:45. The transition from the classical Star Wars sound to the upbeat part. Ludwig Göransson is a fucking genius.
When Hitman 47 voiceactor opens up with "This is the way" you know it will be good.
These are the moments that are making me sad about the fact that our lives are so short, when I watch and listen to masterpieces like these…
Should make you happy
I feel you. However, Young Dr Sues is right. Speaking for myself first, let’s try to appreciate these moments. That’s what makes life so beautiful. We are merely shadows and dust, but our legacies live on and we are blessed to share this.. and I’m sure many other things. Be well, my friends!
Take pleasure in the fact that you get to experience this and other things as one of the first. Life is an adventure to live to the fullest, not something to regret. We only get one chance at it, make the most of it. 🙂
Mourn not those who transition to the Force.
you know that they don't fuck around when the person saying "this is the way" is mister 47 himself XD, awesome job all around
I could imagine this as part of a mission
Good morning 47, your target is the Danish National Symphony Orchestra conductor Antony Hermus. Darn, this is even a cooler arrangement than the original variant in the show it self. Loves the brassparts... Sure there is a brassier variant in the show also, but its more or less more John Williamesque than this variant. Its do sound Ludwig Göransson going Ennio Morricone. lol
It was even better in the concert hall itself, being able to feel the thumping drums and the bass.
Yeah no. It’s not better than the original
@@kallistermiller8075 I agree, the instruments used on the originals give it this really different, special feeling
Original sounds better to me, but I do like this a lot, as it has a “grander” feel to it
Those high horns in this arrangement…quite edgy indeed!
The force is strong with these ones.
Magnifique. ❤
Il ne manque plus que la participation de Mads Mikkelsen dans la suite du Mandalorian, et tout sera parfaitement parfait ! ”This is the way.”
The amount of joy the Danish National Symphony Orchestra has brought me and continues to bring is just incredible
I completely agree. Usually I don't care much that I'm Danish, but whenever I hear The Danish National Orchestra on telly, I'm suddenly very proud of being Danish. Waving the flag and all lol
Danish National Treasure, is a more fitting name. They're absolutely bloody brilliant, I'm very glad they weren't cancelled out entirely, a few years back when they were under threat. Fingers crosses they never are.

Thanks ! . The DR1 (and National) Symphony Orchestra is the Danish equivalent to the English BBC1 Symphony Orchestra, so their mission is not to provide a special brand of "taste" in music, but all about providing top quality public service to make all who watch and listen, and not least children and younger people, get a taste for this kind of symphony orchestra music, also for educational purpose to "nurture" their development.

Im just trying to imagine the rendition DNSO one day will make of the theme from Boba Fett.
With such a weak composition which can't even hold a candle to this one here, there's not much even a top notch orchestra like this can do to make it any better. Besides, Boba Fett will probably be quickly forgotten, as it is only a weak and cheap filler show, which cannot even come close to the quality of the Mandalorian, which in turn was merely a decent Star Wars show and far from exceptional. With exception of its main theme maybe.
@@axelhopfinger533 damn you really goin way too hard on someone that just wants to hear the BOBF Theme live don't you think.. Carry the hate elsewhere maybe :)
@@patrickbock3467 How about no? ;)
@@axelhopfinger533 think your talking a load of shit tbh man, yes it’s not as good as the Mandalorian but it’s not as bad as a lot of people are giving it hate for 🥱 Man people who expect every Star Wars show now since Mando season 2 too be just as exceptional will be disappointed more often than not
@@tiernanboyle7344 Except that the Mandalorian is merely decent for a Star Wars show and far from exceptional. But it also is the only decent Star Wars content since the Clone Wars.
And TBOBF so far cannot even hold a candle to that, being inferior in every way.

The song literally tells a story of the Mandalorian and Grogu. In my mind, the tones represent each one.
I know what you mean. First we got the lone bounty hunter, mysterious, etc, slowly becoming a hero by saving the kid (when the theme go upbeat), then finally ending with such an innocent melody that tells us him becoming the kids father.
