My favorite knife in my collection is my Bradford Guardian 3 (M390/micarta), but it is an EDC blade, obviously. And if Bradford ever gets it in gear and drops the 3.2 in Black DLC Finished Magnacut, it will be taking it's place. My favorite outdoors knife I own would, of course, have to be my new Bradford Guardian 5.5 (CPM-3V/micarta), but I haven't gotten to take it up in the mountains yet. It was snowing again a couple days ago and once there are a few nice days in a row so that the wood can dry out, I'm going to try a Try Stick or 30 with it. Also going to see how the Serrated Tanto Demko Armiger 4 does at it. Never seen someone try it with a serrated edge, and that secondary tanto edge could be useful as well.
As general knife lover. That's like trying to choose your favorite child. If there's an Award for a knifemaker/Designer that's done alot in a little time let's say 3 years That Award might go to Tim kell of Tkell knives. I do feel for him though because he experiencing the negativity of what happens when you Star Rises Really Fast and your not prepared for it.
Really tough question, like the other comments I have trouble picking one because I've got a bunch I love. Current three favorite "do anything" knives are probably my WTG Wolverine in A8max, Bark River Bravo 1.25 in 3V, and the one I always go back to because it's so comfortable to carry is my Winkler Highland Hunter (80crv2), though it was admittedly too fat behind the edge before I reprofiled it to nearly a full convex. Ask me next month though and who know what my answer would be {^_^}
Actually that's a PHENOMENAL answer.. and the truth is it should change every few months. If you get to a point where it never changes your knife journey is almost over
L.H. knives are great. Love them. They remind me of Bill Bagwell knives which ARE the best in the world. No I don't own one unfortunately.. Wish I did.
I have too many knives I love so I'd have to argue with myself for hours on which one is my favorite and still wouldn't be sure. I know a Fiddleback would be in the argument I went straight to one of them for my first try stick because I've Wittled with a lot of them for hours and never got fatigued. There are other knives I love just as much for different reasons so it's an ongoing battle.
I am in the same boat and to be honest with you at this point in the journey there's no way I may have three come in this week that are the new best in the world LOL. Be safe out there brother
I like it a lot. The design like an old time frontier knife like Case Winkler Skinner. Hard to say greatest knife of all time. I have a hard time even picking a favorite. My Randall? My Winkler? Emerson? Al Mar? Too many 😂
What a fine looking knife. The grip profile looks like it is rathe cumphy...even for bigger hands. I've one Lon Humphrey Bridger. Want to say it is 52100, but not sure. It is a sweet blade with a some great gripping options built into it...thus the name. Tho' I wish the grip was a scotch bigger for my mitts. IIRC, Dark Timber Knives maker was very influenced by Lon. You can certainly see the similarities in the DTK Kodiak and Honey Badger I have. Anyhow, the one in your video looks well thought out with classic subtle simplicity. I have NO DOUBT it is a pleasure to use because of that. PS- Thank you for all the work you do bringing these videos to us !
Hey Scab, the blade shape is great in its versatility. That would be great for game processing, still pointy enough for fiddly little tasks. Looks sharp as. Handle looks great. I have my WC in AEBL showing up in the next month - so yes like the blade steel!! Hope your week is great Brother 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
Well, for folders I love my Benchmade Griptillian,My Cold Steel Recon 1,and my Cold Steel Voyager Drop Point, for a fixed either the Cold Steel SRK small or large, and the SOG Seal Pup
I'm more of a folder guy just because of my lifestyle. I love a good drop point and a flat ground blade. Because of this, my favorites are Spydercos. They have such a great blade geometry and offer some really superior steals.
Lon Humphrey does amazing work, basically hand forged customs, completely built by Lon, for under $400. My favorite is his Gunfighter Bowie. The Tucson in this video is one of his few blades thats not forged.
An impossible answer, Too many great brands, in different price ranges, with many different purposes, in a million different configurations....An individuals personal preference of "the best knife" may not be "the best knife" A better classification for any knife would be, "some of the best knives currently made" interesting conversation that can have no end result but MANY arguments 😅
My favorite knife in my collection is my TKell Knives Outerlimitless Accomplice (AEB-L/G10). Obviously it's an EDC blade being around that 4 inch mark but but also good as a general camp knife. For my favorite outdoors knife I own, it would have to be my new Work Tuff Gear Wolverine (A8 Max/G10). I've taken it on a week's long camping trip up here in Hawaii with my family and everyone's has only ever said good things about the blade and asking me where they can get one😅. Have a good one, Aloha.🤙🏽
Just about it will do it all dude I have my design .not like that but will do everything that will do but o love my knife I don't have that one so I love my knife
The best knife in the world to me is an old custom fighting/survival knife made by LT Wright. It is my must bring to the end of the world party knife. Why? Because of all the knives I have it is the most capable do-it-all all knife AND is super comfortable to use. It literally is the knife I want to be buried with.
#22aday never held a Lon Humphrey blade before..... My vote for the Greatest Knife in the World, would be my custom Bowie by Colton Kiso of Heath Creek Forge!!!! Scabber an' DBAD both have handled my Bowie. I'm here to tell, if Ol' Jim Bowie had had my Kiso Bowie at the Alamo..... We would have forgotten the Alamo by now!!!! Colton Kiso, Heath Creek Forge
Another good time testing and a great knife
Many thanks and much appreciation!

Phenomenal knife I love Bradford
That is a beautiful blade!
Absolutely gorgeous

Damn sure is man. Insanely tough question

@@choirboyzcutleryoutdoors I like the word "journey" sound so much better than knife "addiction", lol
Looks like a well-made little slicer.
Love those dogs 🐕
That's a very cool knife, seemed to perform very well. 👍 Thanks for sharing, take care my friend and Cheers!
He makes some good knives and his leather sheaths are of fine quality too....Good stuff....
L.H. knives are great. Love them.

Wish I did.
Well now I've got to look him up
Knife scales are double dyed Burl Wood

Far too many and it changes way too often but I wanted to bring it up because I think it's an interesting topic to think about

I love this one brother. I am still fighting the post office over that package haha. Sorry it never made it to you.
That is one sweet looking blade!

XXLARGE to y'all, always. 🐱💙🙏🏻👊🏻🌚
Wow, if a skinner blade like that can cut through a towing strap, then that is a blade you need to keep on you belt all the time. Great video Scab.
I agree brother 100%

That's exactly why I brought it up because if it's one thing this community needs is one more thing to argue about

The nomad field by WTG is an amazing cutting tool
It truly is
My "Woodsman" from Origin Knives. The perfect blade!
I’m not surprised on how sharp that is.
By the way, do you sharpen swords? ⚔️ If so, how much and where do we ship to?
Just about it will do it all dude I have my design .not like that but will do everything that will do but o love my knife I don't have that one so I love my knife
