Unfortunately, trash people OFTEN throw trash into the Frio. I caught a half dozen or so OBNOXIOUS folks from New York several years ago LITERALLY tossing handfuls of trash from their car over the bridge into the water. Us REAL folks from Texas don't care for that, and amazingly the sight of a heavily scarred and tattooed combat vet, shirtless, with a HOLSTERED pistol on his hip, SCREAMING at them to pick up their shit accomplished the task. At first the claimed to not speak English, and my "teams" buddy from NYC watched my dashcam, and told me they were "Nuyoricans," but as my late wife was Spanish, I was able to tell them, in better Spanish than they spoke, the objectives I wanted accomplished. They actually called the cops, and said I pointed the firearm at them, but as a 25+ year veteran of the military, 19+ in the Special Operations side of the house, and 11+ in the pinnacle of my chosen career field, MOST of the LE know me, and once they saw the tape, they advised them perhaps NYC was where they needed to be, not Texas.
I've only recently (June 9-13) "experienced" this place in my beautiful home-state.. due to my lil' brother getting married at the Rockin' River Ranch, and the "whole-family- tubing-adventure" departing from Josh's.....I have fell in love with the Texas hill-country!!!
This river is so clean and so beautiful! Would love to go there too and try tubing. So beautiful that you can just sit and relax and enjoy a very cold drink. Take us there ate joan! Lol

What the exact location of this ? I was trying to book hotel and it said frio river was two hours from Concan ?
Frio River is in Concan and you can find many places to lodge, motels and cabins. Look for Garner state park.
