Hi john quite a few years back my father had the dubious pleasure🥴of coming to the sharp bend further up in too much snow sliding off and left dangling on the wall...he did survive😉😉cracking vids ....
Scary stuff, gets really bad in winter, glad he's ok though. Thanks for watching.
I remember in the early 60's, my father was returning from the pub in Nenthead, and found a hole in the fence just before the Z bend, he found a car in the burn, and a semi conscious man crawling in the snow.
Very nice thanks for sharing cheers
Thanks for watching :)
My mother was born at Crossdike.
Thanks for your message Harry, always brilliant to hear from folks with a connection to these old places.
I didnt know that the building at the very beginning was a chapel, I’ve driven past so many times!
I didn’t know at the time either. Durham county council have a ‘Keys to the past’ website with old maps of the area, I get the old building names from there, quite a lot of local history on there too.
your drone is scattering the sheep
Sheep are weird, sometimes they completely ignore the drone and sometime they run, I've scared them a few times unintentionally, it's a bit of a worry since I'd be liable for any that get injured, fingers crossed it never happens!
