  • On April 8, 2024, the Great North American Eclipse treated millions of people to a spectacular show. The path of totality moved from Texas to Maine and sliced right across a large swath of southeast Missouri. We camped at Echo Bluff State Park north of Eminence and then drove down to Twin Pines Conservation Area near Winona, MO to view the eclipse. At around 2:00 PM, we were treated to over three minutes of darkness. We hope you enjoy our short five-minute recap of our experience viewing the eclipse.

I was in Blue Springs MO with about 90% totality. I was shocked at the temperature difference! I think we registered about a 15° change

We camped out for the weekend to view totality too, (Indiana). We viewed right from our campsite while having hotdogs on the grill. Such a cool experience and so much fun! We are lucky to be able to see both eclipses in totality ~2017 and 2024. Happy Trails!
