  • After the anomaly of the TVC Test vehicle, this is our new carbon fiber frame TVC software/hardware Test-bed! It's fully modular and expandable, with a higher survivability than any of our previous vehicles. Design inspired by Masten Space System's XOMBIE vehicle. This vehicle will run tethered and non-tethered flights.

      @@CanineDefenseTechnologies of course. But y'all print with PLA or ABS? Probably ABS would be better in this case.

    • @DeltaSpaceSystems
      @DeltaSpaceSystems 5 лет назад +1

      ABS creates toxic fumes and PLA is superior in many ways. Try PETG or PEEK

    • @CanineDefenseTechnologies
      @CanineDefenseTechnologies  5 лет назад

      @@pretinhobasico6539 my standard is PLA because it's cheap and easy to print with. I want to use ABS in the future but after I build a fume extractor for my 3d printer. Currently the strongest plastic I use at CRT is PETG like Delta mentioned. PETG is alright, though is a bit flexible

    • @CanineDefenseTechnologies

      That's cool! The TVC consists of 3d printed parts and 2 servos, with a few screws, linkage stoppers, and servo rods. I'm new myself and I don't know what to suggest really, but I personally started out by replicating other people's projects

    Oops didn't have notifications set to all. So how will you control the hop? Will you follow a thrust curve, add some mass, then the beginning spike of thrust will take it off the ground, but the average thrust provides a TWR of just less than 1? I look forward to this!

    • @CanineDefenseTechnologies
      @CanineDefenseTechnologies  5 лет назад +1

      Yup exactly! A very gentle boost up as as the thrust averages out, it would come down, well at least in theory. I definitely won't get it right on the first try, and this vehicle is meant to be used for variety of other tests in the future!

    • @theredstonehive
      @theredstonehive 5 лет назад +1

      @@CanineDefenseTechnologies A motor like the Apogee E6 would be great for this, and you could test the method of gimbaling the motor very fast to "throttle" down the motor, and come down to a controlled landing. It is a shame the Apogee E6/F10 is only available in the US : (

      @@terrywheelock9458 sorry but we do not offer such service because the print schedules are rather congested and backed up even to meet our own demands. However there are many good printing services available online, and most local libraries and schools should offer such service at a reasonable price.
