    I once glued and taped something like 5 of those bottle together for one monster 10 liter water rocket. I decide to test the thing with my 10 year old little brother (it was maybe 15 years ago) on our backyard. I was pressurizing the thing up to 8 bars with bicycle pump and maybe 4 meters long hose when it exploded around 5.5 bars. We both thought that it was the greatest thing ever but my mom was super angry since it was stupidly loud :D

      What Is Islam?
      Islam is not just another religion.
      It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham.
      Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God.
      It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone.
      It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine.
      The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as:
      { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4)
      Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus.
      Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him

    This video reminds me of the times I made potato cannons 'sing' by filling the chamber with a rich butane/air mixture, keeping the barrel empty, then hitting the ignition. The one that made the coolest sound was the straight-pipe cannon measuring about 4" dia x 72" long. Too much fuel in the mix = slow burn = loud, twangy, bassy howling.

  • @jimfenno8833
    @jimfenno8833 4 года назад +11

    The reason it burn faster when at the back of the botle is because the fire starts all the way back in the pvc pipe, the air fuel mixture is accelerated into the botle at speed before full ignition, causing turbulence.
    (Similar to how a diesel engine with a precombustion chamber works)

    A couple of months ago I watched this video knowing literally nothing about rockets. like, absolutely nothing. But, I thought this was the coolest thing and I was determined to create a rocket engine. Soon enough, that goal changed into creating a full on rocket, and to get it into space. I started researching straight away, and I found another one of your videos on the hybrid rocket engine. I immediately started working on it, and It actually worked! Something you should know about me is that I never, and I mean NEVER finish projects. I always start them, but move on to something else. So for me to build a working rocket engine, that’s a huge achievement. I started doing more research, and I started looking at liquid fueled rocket engines. I started learning about things like the turbines, oxidizers, fuel pumps, injectors, over/under expansion, and a lot more. I am now currently working on a liquid fueled rocket engine, and it’s going great! I owe it all to u. My goal right now is to start my own rocket company, like SpaceX. I know it sounds crazy, but I’m working at it. It’s weird to think that all of this never would’ve happened if you didn’t make this video, so I just want to thank you for making my dreams come true.

    One safety tip I’d give is have an old table cloth or towel hung in the path the projectile is flying so it will hit that vs the wall. That should distribute the energy so the object will be less likely to bounce back at you.
