      I never thought about being a teacher but when I read your comment it doesn’t sound like a bad idea haha. I can see myself doing something with teaching.
      From my experience in my life I’ve found a happiness that lasts me when I am doing for others versus doing for myself. I think that may possibly shine through when I’m creating content.
      Thank you for taking the time to drop a comment, I appreciate you.

I use fake skins for practice and to keep in shape, up to date. I apprenticed years ago, unfortunately too many getting into the art don’t bother with formal instruction. You’re a great teacher! Very2 informative and helpful, started with coils so it was difficult for me to transition to rotaries/pens, as it was the "Thing", I had a fast handspeed compared to my other fellow artists since I tuned my machines to hit fast and the bog too, 5.5v-7+v was my min and max when lining, then when I switched to rotaries & pens it was all pre tuned, took me a long time to find the right V to match my handspeed, finally 8v-9v was the right V depending on the needles, no more #1501 bar needles, long strokes came along and voltage adjustment's a breeze, depending on the motor, of course, I've learnt a lot from you, 2020-2013 was like 1998-2000 all over again for me when I finished my apprenticeship, married in 2004 and till 2012 was when I was most motivated with a packed tattoo shop and a family business on the side, a wife, a 7 year old daughter and a 5 year old son at the time, the back surgery was when I loose my motivation, began going to Church more, 2018 volunteered as a social worker/concellor thousands of miles away, my cousin managing the shop and my wife the family business, Christmas eve 2018, all mytattoo machines and accessories were stolen by the very people I/we were there to help, was so crushed I didn't even touched a machine for a whole year, then this up and coming enthusiastic artist, with the biggest potential, with his calm, energetic, humble and soothing voice came into my life and that's where my 2nd tattooing journey begins, #DANIELYUCK was the name, gave me back the motivation I had lost, later gifted me the YUCK Hummingbird V2 and a bunch of accessories, here I am, 43 once an untouchable tattoo artist, hunbled by God and the people I volunteered for whom I love through Christ and my dear2 friend Daniel, whom I wouldn't be here writing an essay, my brother who motivated me artistically and spiritually, thank you Brother, we really look alike except for the age difference, both long hairs, well yours curly, we love games, bikes and music, oh we both have a daughter and a son, honestly thanks for always being positive and overall great person, talented tattoo artist and the best RUclips content creator🤘🏻

    How are you hanging the needle out that far and still retract back into the cartridge to pick up ink?

    • @DanielYuck
      @DanielYuck  Год назад +1

      That’s a good question!
      Although I don’t have 1 exact answer but more so a combination of ideas. I think it’s a combination of my stroke along with setting my needle depth just right, and applying the right amount of pressure.
      I look at it like this, when I apply a certain amount of pressure when applying a tattoo the needle is not coming out all the way because it hits the skin. So when I’m applying a tattoo there’s a certain amount of bog that happens and I think this is where the magic is happening. Haha
      Honestly it’s hard to say.

    Hey Daniel! Thank you so much for another amazing learning video! I wanted to ask if your tattoo journal books are only available on american amazon or can I order them from the swedish amazon as well ? Also the pen cartridges you are using for the book where can I find them/what are the names of brands for them ? Love all your videos and thank you so much for doing videos for us like this it has helped me so much already at the start of my journey!

      If I am correct I believe my books are available nationwide as I haven’t come across anything that states they aren’t available in Sweden.
      Are you able to find them on your Amazon? Try typing in “Daniel Yuck” or “The Tattoo Journal” to see if they pop up in your end. They are also available on Barnes & Noble as well.
      Also the pen carts that I am using are also available on Amazon and or Mosu ink. I will link you below

    Do you apply the ink on the silicone skin exactly as you do on real skin ? Or do you have to « push harder « for the ink to settle in.

    Very helpful video! Quick question, does your voltage/hand speed ever change based on your needle size? Or are you using the same voltage/speed for a 3RL vs 7RL vs 11RL etc? I’m sure it requires trial and error, but is there a general best practice to know when to increase/decrease your voltage?

    • @mikefisher8563
      @mikefisher8563 Год назад

      That’s a good question!!!

    • @DanielYuck
      @DanielYuck  Год назад +2

      That’s a good question! So with every needle size we will have to adjust our hand speed and voltages to match the needle we are using.
      A good rule of thumb is to start slower when we are using needles and work our way up to find what we are comfortable with. The smaller the needle the easier it is to break the skin.
