Of all the things I've poked at with TOOL, it hadn't occurred to me to use it to get rid of the overlapping flashy objects glitch. Easy fix too! Great tips, sir, thank you for the mod and for updating us with ideas on what to do with it.
Wonder if you could use the mini countertop + basement table trick to make toilets used as regular chairs and put a horrible themed restaurant in your store....

I've mostly been using just the rotate option since I got the mod and that was incredible in itself - now that i've realised how many updates you've added, i'm floored! I love love love this video and your mods. I made a dool house with scale, it's kinda funny cause the sims still using some of the objects. I'm so happy about the new alt move and clone, makes it so much easier. And I'm so exited for your new mod for debug hope it's going to be a great solution.
I use TOOL all the time to get rid of the "texture glitching" in builds cuz I've seen some super beautiful builds but that flickering always catches my eye and drives me crazy. So thank-you, thank-you from the bottom of my heart!
Thanks so much for this! You're a total legend. I have a question for you re replacing apartment windows on diagonal blocks (starting 18:33). I've tried the method in the video before, but found that it's hard to ensure that a) the windows are evenly spaced when placing multiple windows on a wall and b) the windows are centred equally inside the wall so that no windowsill juts out more than another. Is there a hack to getting windows to line up evenly vis-a-vis each other and the wall itself? I spent like half an hour placing two windows before I gave up lol. Thanks for all you do to make this game spectacular!
this is an amazing mod! I have one question is there a way to get documentation for the controls? I am new to this mod and still learning but have trouble remembering that keyboard commands do what. Big thanks for all the great mods you have put out over the years.

The grouping box multi-select feature was lifechanging. I play in an apartment in San Myshuno and had the bug where festival objects wouldn't disappear. I kinda just ignored it for nearly 3 full generations. What I didn't notice was that every time a new festival appeared it spawned new objects in exactly the same location. So what I thought were just like 15 floating plants, actually had what feels like hundreds of clones inside of them and each of them bore multiple fruits which were also all individually cloned and hidden inside each other. I spent 45 minutes deleting them one by one without any visible progress. Ultimately I learnt about this feature of TOOL and, after a 3 minute lagspike, managed to select and delete all objects at once. My simulation lag has completely disappeared. It used to take 5-10 seconds just to load up the pie menu when clicking something. Everything is smooth as a baby's bum now. I can't thank you enough for developing this mod.
The trick to remove the texture flickering glitch doesn't seem to work anymore? I've tried and tried, but every single time I use this trick, it just resets and the flickering comes back, whenever I leave the lot and come back. It doesn't seem to stick.

I've been using the rug as tapestry trick for a while BUT I learned that you can click it against the wall instead of trying to ALT move it in BB - SO HELPFUL! Also Love the disappearing object trick for computers/appliances. The creepy baby at the end LOL

I know I asked questions in your first TOOL tips and tricks but just in case you missed it I thought I might ask again, I hope you don't mind. When you use the T.O.O.L mod for example Alt click, Shift Click, the click part does that mean your mouse right click? It might be a silly question but it is to understand what you are talking about for me. I have never used this mod before but i really like to understand. I just need to know how to use T.O.O.L to have objects diagonally, I could see the green circle around the object when used on the bed but what if i want the bed diagonal. I love also the idea of the mod always testing, I definitely want to find that one because it is frustrating to type it in all the time. How do you reset the sims if she/he is stuck? The other thing i was thinking with regards in changing the X color and Y color for example if someone was color blind, this is a fantastic idea.
@@TwistedMexi thank you, with the color change it is a fantastic idea, and if someone is color blind they can change it to what they can see, I do have a friend who is color blind and needed to learn the colors of thew traffic lights what was on top, middle, bottom. because when he looked at it it was completely different

Hi twistedmexi, I hope I hope I hope that you will reply on this comment. It would be such a gamechanger if there'd be an option to mirror objects. I don't know anything on how you create these terrific mods, but I can imagine this one being a far stretch.... still, if you'd see a possible; I would love to see it come to fruition. I love love love this mod but I’ve been having some trouble with the rotation tool, sometimes it lets me rotate debug items and sometimes it doesn’t, I saw it had to do with the object itself but I still don’t understand why it lets me sometimes :)
It depends on the specific object, just generally those are debug and plant objects, but there's still plenty of both types that do rotate fine. It's an "if it works, it works" situation.
This looks great, but I cant see menus where you enter numbers to place the object. Ive realized you mentioned about this situation on your website, so I dont know if its about me or not :( I cant also exit game since I put the mods on. Id be appreciated if someone can find a solution :(
I want to toggle multiple objects at the same time. I click on toggle active object but I don't know how to get the other items highlighted. When I click on the other items it doesn't do anything. What am I doing wrong?
Im not sure if there has been an update from Sims that is effecting the mod, but Im not able to use TOOL in build/buy. No matter what I do, I cant get any TOOL menus to come up. I was really hoping to get use out of that function, so hopefully its not forever broken for me.

No, I'll always say right click if it should be. Just "click" means left click.
Also you can already change grid colors in the tool settings menu

unfortunately there's no way to mirror an object unless you modify the actual 3d model resource.
You should make a video with CLONING DEBUG OBJECTS like that, in capital letters, because it really is life changing!
I love what you've made! But when I install the Betterbuybuild all my cars and rocks disappear from the debug do you know what might give this issue?

Can you do the apartment window trick on other apartments that aren't livable so it looks uniform on the outside?
Maybe, probably not though. Many of the apartment buildings are actually just giant objects below the livable space.

It's not possible with the TS4 game engine, sorry.
I’m having an issue with the mod, it won’t let me tilt windows forwards and back only side to side. Every other object will tilt forward and back
Hiya, is there something wrong with the scale option? It appears for me but doesn't actually shrink the object as seen in the video...
No there's no issue, keep in mind scale is not additive so if you're trying 1 it's just going to keep it at the default size

No. Only positive numbers. 0.5 is going to be half it's normal size. 0.25 1/4

It's due to another broken mod, not tool. Possibly Neia's More Clubs Per Sim

Can I alt click in any direction? How do I differentiate between different directions. I follow your discord so you know.
The object will move toward your cursor, so just click in the direction you want it to go

No, TOOL still works fine on the current game version.
You might be overlooking that TOOL needs Better BuildBuy for build mode

No, TOOL works fine on the latest patch.
You probably need to turn on mods and script mods in gameplay options -> "Other"
