Antemasque rehearsal sessions

Prolific producer Omar Rodriguez-Lopez recently teamed up again with longtime collaborator, Cedric Bixler-Zavala and to round out the group, named ANTEMASQUE, has added Dave Elitch on drums and the legendary Flea on bass.

Man, this really needs distortion on those big chords in the chorus, that'll really make it sound more dynamic.

No it doesn't, distortion ruins riffs that have chords. It would be noisier, not more dynamic

I disagree, given the punky feel to the pacing and energy of the rest of the song, having clean power chords in the chorus doesn't make the chorus explode like it feels like its supposed to. And it definitely would be more dynamic, compared to the gentle clean arpeggios in the verses. I mean in the song the way Cedric's voice explodes as the music cuts out right before the chorus and then these weak-ass clean power chords come in, it just feels underwhelming. The guitar's feel languid in a song with very exuberant vocals and very noisy drumming.
