All of a sudden my light bulbs started going out. Called the seller, he said “we don’t sell them with bulbs” 😳 So, I am back to square one. My suggestion is to replace ALL the bulbs while you have the lights out. You DONT want to have to redo this job twice, or each time a light bulb goes out! I had done this before when I upgraded the main lights to brighter whites but now unfortunately I have to part out my Cadillac CTS due to an engine issue which really sucks cuz I love my Cadillac. Needed a reminder video on how to take the headlight out again and your video was perfect. Those headlights are really expensive. Hope to get another Cadillac CTS but with these gas prices, it might be time to go electric or very small. Cute dog. Thanks!
Yeahman This CTS is still going strong after 7 years of ownership, 100,000 + miles very little maintenance. only big issue I had one time is timing chain and gear replacement (would be cool if they had a CTS Electric ✌
I'm guessing that engine issue is either one of two things either the timing chain going out or you just didn't want to get the work plugs and injectors done because it's like 4 grand lol. I totally understand lol.
@@EstrangedSounds I'm pretty sure the timing chain was good but maybe somewhere it was affecting a valve. I went as far as taking off the camshafts and everything seemed to look good. I just didn't want to have to take the block off as well but your right two different engine places just wanted to swap it out for like 5k or more so I decided to part it out and am listing a lot of Cadillac parts on Ebay including those sweet XENON Headlights. Video title states NO BUMPER REMOVAL. But this is not true. THE video shows how to remove the bumper. Well maybe not fully remove it from the car but remove it enough so that you can pry it away enough to give you access to the headlight assembly. At this point you are just a few more plastic retaining clips away from actually removing the bumper from the car. There is no possible way to change the headlight bulbs on this car without dropping the bumper (front clip).
You have the same headlight assembly that I have on my 2011 cadillac cts coupe and I replaced both daytime running lights after watching your video. Have you changed your turn signal lights above that one bulb yet?
I have the same style headlamps and my driver side light went out and it’s an HID light but I don’t know if it came with HIDs from factory? Did your vehicle come with HIDs?
I have an 08 cts with a leaking headlight assembly to the point that it blows the bulb. The other light assembly allows moisture inside but doesn’t quite blow the bulb. Should I remove the moisture from inside before I seal them?
Great video. Thanks for posting how to change DRL. I'll be swapping mine out with some L.E.D's to match the headlights and foglights better. Do you know if there is any way to upgrade the white tube light (idk exactly what it's called) with a brighter one?
@Mr. Top thanks for replying. I found a thread on that light, and I guess the power and ground wire are sodered onto a LED bulb. I guess that bulb runs off of 3 point something volts when they turn on. I don't think I can make those bulbs any brighter.
