    I play fingerstyle arrangements (mostly pop ballads) and I only play nylon due to the low tension and smooth sound. I have small hands and switched to playing crossover guitars. They are so much easier to play than the traditional classicals and I play so much better as a guitarist. I highly recommend them

      100% agree, I've been playing classical for almost 30 years, and just this year bought a hybrid and it so much more comfortable and fun to play

    Boys, I'm just gearing up to buying my MD70BG this month, I need you to stop turning my head with all of the other models I'm after. Guitar flirting is a real thing 🤪

      You'll love the MD70 👍 We're firm believers that every player needs different acoustic models for their many diverse tonal needs. We'll still be here when you're ready for your next one. 😉

    Alvarez guitars have always been well made and quality instruments. My main problem with them is that, for some crazy reason, they are supplied with a strap button that is screwed into the heel of the neck. With that button in that spot on the instrument it is almost a guarantee that the instrument will be scratched, or the surface of a table will be scratched if the guitar is laid flat on anything. I think that positioning is ridiculous, particularly for people who don't like it there or who don't want a strap button at all.
    Think things through Alvarez....most of this design stuff is pretty simple but you guys aren't helping yourselves. Include the forward strap button but don't mount it. Let the customer decide.

      there is reason to do that on the cut away guitar model to avoid stuck your left hand when play on higher note. But you're right, let customer decide what they want.

    I clicked on the AC65 link and it brought me to a page showing a guitar sans cutaway. But it does call it an AC65 on that page. Do I cut my own cutaway after I buy it.

    big question - how is the string tension. since it's 14 frets, i am assuming that the tension is much higher on these hybrids vs a traditional classical guitar....which circumvents a reason for buying the easier to play 12 fret classicals.......is it harder to fret?

      I have a Cordoba Stage which is 14 frets and it's much easier to fret for me than traditional classicals

      I think they mean the cut away starts at the 14 th fret…? The biggest difference is the slightly smaller but width and neck profile.

      the longer the fret, the lower tension on each string => E.g 14 frets (to body) guitar will normally use higher tension string compare to 12 frets guitar to have the same feeling

    My question is should a classical guitar player consider a high end hybrid. Is it a poor compromise for finger style playing?

    • @AlvarezGuitarsOfficial
      @AlvarezGuitarsOfficial  Год назад +2

      Not a poor compromise at all, but it does offer a modern playability aspect for even traditional players. Definitely worth a look. 👍

    I own an Alvarez AC65HCE but it eats batteries, even when there's no lead plugged in... A battery will last 3 days at the most before the warning light comes on... I may have used the tuner two or three times... Obviously there's a fault on the unit or the jack plug section... But I can't find it... Have contacted you before... Received a response saying you would check it out, but have received no follow up... So.. Any ideas what may be the cause of this problem?... Thank you...

    Would changing the nut, bridge and saddle make the guitar sound different based on material?
