Unique is a huge thrift shop in NJ, it has around 14 locations (including nyc) My mom used to work there. They would take the clothing out of trash bags (mixed with paper and other garage) if it smell decent enough they would hang it and put to displace. It wouldn't get wash or anything. They had to wear gloves in case an insect from the bags bite them. One worker brought bedbugs home through her clothing in the past. I still enjoy thrifting, now I'm just more careful. I wouldn't try clothing in store (without washing them) and I would leave my clothing outside in a plastic bag for a day (cold/hot weather) to have anything living inside die. Be safe people.
I never thought to shop trousers and blazers together to wear separately! I definitely will be looking in the pantsuit section on my next thrifting trip!
