This is my first time playing Castelvania and omg it's fun as heck. The storyline, the cool characters, background, music, It's amazing. I want to play all of them eventually but oh have i've been missing out.
SotN is by far the most fun metroidvania that I've played, it's honestly hard to grasp how much STUFF this game has, it really is a full blown action RPG
The voice acting is not from the PS1 version. It is the revised voices and script from the PSP port of SOTN within the Rondo of Blood Remake. It is less cheesy and has grown on me. But the original version is so iconic and memeworthy.
What I don't understand is.the pronunciation of Dracula being Drac-you-la while Alucard is Al-oo-card..personal preference is Al-you-card myself but it is what it is.
It's really important to be able to play a game offline. You can't lose a game forever due to servers being pulled if it isn't tied to servers in the first place.
I love this game on the PS3 and on my Samsung Galaxy phones. Now I bought the game and easily go enjoy the game on the go and at home via Samsung Dex Station. Wish it kept the original voice actor or update it to have the original English voice actor to make it as a sweet bonus.

I find the controls to be complete and under trash. Just the simple jump and attack just refuses to work. Sometimes it works, most times it does not. It gets REALLY bad when you see the death screen over and over again and spend more time looking at then actually playing the game! I love Castlevania and seeing this issue with control disappoints me. Another massive bug the game seems to fancy in saving just before you die. Seconds in fact. If the controls were actually good I would be able to save myself but I cannot. So aggravating!

I just installed this on a Retroid 3+, and the controls are mapped well to the Retroid buttons and the virtual button overlay is off. I can’t wait to replay this game!
The 2007 redub is based on a more accurate translation and has objectively better voice acting... along with Patrick Seitz (I played the PSP version after JJBA came out and ngl when I heard him as Dracula say "stand with me as prince of the world" right before the final boss battle, I couldn't unhear DIO: "Once more - THE WORLD!") That said, I'm **very** partial to the 1997 original dub from the PS1 release ("what is a man!? A miserable little pile of secrets!"). Never understood why Konami couldn't include the option of playing with the updated or original voice acting in some of these newer reissues on PS4 and mobile (unless it's a rights issue) - at least they offer the ability to play in Japanese with subs now, which I do appreciate.

But the when i am going to use the most there is a big delay so you cannot get the bat form devastating moment i played whole day because i love this but its really lame the controls the delay so ffff

Better to use PPSSPP and play it on Dracula X Chronicles. The same goes for GBA or DS Castlevanias with MyBoy and Drastic.
