I think it was the hardest game I ever played, I couldn't understand where to go or what to do, it was so frustrating !!! and we had no access to nintendo power in Belgium at the time and no internet of course so that game was a curse to me ! because of it I never tried any other Castelvania after that I was too scared ... maybe now is a good time to make peace with the franchise ! Thanks for a great video again Clayton !

Schmoo, the little ghost at the library drops the Crissaegrim , the best weapon in the game wich is a one handed sword , however it is an extreme rare drop so wearing aaccesories to raise LUCK definitely helps , This sword is ideal for grinding other items or for finish the game without much difficulty, personally I only use it to grind other items since otherwise the game becomes very easy . If you are a collector and want all the weapons and shields, you definitely need this sword to speed up the grinding process

This game can be played on Xbox 360, Xbox One and Xbox Series machines as well(it’s a digital 360 game but it’s fully backwards supported for the newer consoles). You can also get a PS2(which are far easier to find then a PS3 or PSX because they sold so well) and play the PSX game on that.

Both close to 100 % (97% I believe) and I still playing now with Belmont. This game is so great. For all what you said. The loot is may be the weakest point, but there's a lot of stuff to experiment.
I advise you to try Aria of Sorrow now, it's the same game with a Pokemon feature (capture ennemies capacities).
I was a video game journalist at that time, and while I launched it a week-end, I had never get the opportunity to finish it. Now it's done, I have taken the time too play it, and I'm pretty sure I will dive in again next year.

The PSX is my favourite console. This year I decided to play games again. I beat a few, including Symphony of the Night. I consider certain games to be beautiful works of Art. Breath of Fire IV, Resident Evil (GameCube), Super Metroid, Final Fantasy IX, Silent Hill, Castlevania Rondo of Blood, to name a few. Symphony of the Night is a work of Art. I enjoyed it immensely. My only complain is that the special moves and the Crissaegrim are game breakers.

We had a problem with parasite eve and I played to where we were stuck and some guys told him he's lucky to have a girlfriend that actually plays. It's very hard to get someone that plays. I played on PS. It's a very hard game to get ahold of. Have you tried Castlevania lament of innocence

Flea man has been around since the original Castlevania and has been in nearly every one since.

sotn is one of the greatest games ever made, i put it right up there with SMB3. And I am not talking about the network file sharing protocol ;).

For anyone who loved this game, also try Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night which is a spiritual successor made by the same lead developer, Koji Igarashi. It even has a wink and a nod version of Alucard, with a different name of course, you can find in the castle. So many similar eater eggs. Be aware the Switch version has slowdown issues though as this game uses Unreal Engine 4.
Anyways, he was so upset Konami never allowed him to make more Metroidvania games for consoles, he left and created his own company to do just that. He also made some handheld Metroidvania games at Konami for the Gameboy Advance and Nintendo DS, if you're looking for even more games like this he made.

The re-release has redubbed opening lines. Probably from the psp release. Listen to the original PS1 opening dialogue. It's iconic.

Find the Lucky Mode passcode and use that not that you’ve beaten it legit. Luck starts aggressively high but all the other stats are pure glass cannon level.
Basic, “I Reincarnated As The Weakest Hero With The Strongest Weapons: The Anime: the game.”
