I'm a Stokey resident. Despite living closer to Best Kebab, we prefer Super for a few reasons! 1. More variety on the Super Kebab menu, including an epic Chicken doner. 2. All kebabs other than the doner are grilled directly over smouldering charcoal in a mangal grill. This gives the distinct seared, charred taste. Which elevates the kebabs over best kebab. 3. Seating! Both restaurants are open until late, 4am! But Super has some seating, which is a game charger especially late night. Perfect for a late night catch-up with the boys! 4. The Kofte Kebab in Super is better than most Mangal restaurants in Stoke Newington! BTW, The owners of both Super and Best Kebab were partners! Until they parted ways leading to the formation of Super Kebab. The lamb doner is almost identical! Including the huge doner spits in the freezer!
I’ve tasted much better kebabs than this. I found it too bland and ordinary, though it was fresh and less greasy. If you’re ever in Portsmouth, you should try EFES Kebab; Food Review Club even reviewed it. And of course, the best traditional kebabs are in Turkey-nothing can beat those!”
Your channel has cost me a fortune buying all the spices needed for your delicious dishes ! Thanks so much for your awesome channel and cooking inspiration. Keep up the good work , blessings from Japan !
Latif I’ve followed you from the early days I’ve cooked your recipes and learnt how important a base gravy is to a curry BIR style. That food looked great and vlog was first class. 10/10 I think . Best wishes from a 🥶🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
I really appreciate you taking the time to put these small jems on your channel- unless someone recommends a place, I struggle to “take the gamble” I don’t mess with my tummy 😂😂 thank you akhi 🎉 the family and I will be heading here this week inshallah!
I have a seafood recommendation for you - try Samak Seafood in Willesden Green. Incredibly well grilled and seasoned, flavoursome seafood. I've had seafood in Peru, Mexico, Spain and elsewhere - this place is as good as anything I've had when it comes to seafood!
Latif, brother! You always show the good stuff, and now you have me very hungry. 5000 miles away on the west coast of the USA, I'm missing a good kebab. They just can't touch a good UK-style kebab. Keep the excellent videos coming!
Latif bro I lived in Stoke Newington 46 years and tasted all the them The doner meat is Pinar Hoe st Walthamstow is the best .. you have to try it yourself believe it or not.. nothing can beat it Opens At 5pm till 3am check it it out
As always bismillah! As always doniobad bai! Another outstanding video on the best channel on RUclips. Made your chicken saag recipe last night for the 100th time! Making your one pot chicken dopiaza this weekend for the first time. Can’t wait. Diolch from Wales.
This place is the Best Kebab in whole of UK. It's always high quality and cooked with perfection. Most authentic Turkish Kebab, not fake Asian copy. They have the best system of serving. It's so busy they don't even expand to a restaurant it's just take away and people come from far away to get this. We come here every week for the famous donner and chips.
Moved out of London years ago. I had my usual haunts all over London, but nothing compared to the Lahore Kebab House on the Commercial Road. I miss that place so much.
Hi Latif. The meat looks delicious. How busy they are says it all about the quality of food on offer. I agree with you regarding Turkish kebabs had them in Turkey you can really taste the meat as it's not over powerd by spices. Keep up the food reviews. Thanks for sharing 👍
I've watched quite a lot of your vlogs and your an amazing chef and I've learnt from you but i don't know why but I've never subscribed but i just have and loving this, great review.
I've been there but decades ago it's changed a lot with the automated doner cutting. They were so good back then too. Any kebab shop that makes their own shoulder meat kebabs will be good. Some buy them wholesale frozen ready made. Their meat could be any part of the lamb just over minced so its almost paste and they layer with breast layers to keep it up not so nice and too fatty. I'm a British Turk originally from Istanbul I did a couple of years doner cutting and serving wasn't bad pay till I found my real job as an Electronics engineer. I was lucky to work with some great doner chefs. That was back in the early 80's late 70's it was at Waltham Cross. I went there for a visit during summer and yes they were still there doing amazing doner kebabs as good as we did. Working as an engineer for over 30 years and for about 25 years my best kebabs was actually a Greek Cypriot! shop I would go almost 5 days a week as they open at 12 lunch time. Give them a try Paul's Plaice at Hanger lane. Excellent chilli sauce and the salad very nicely done a bit of parsley on the chopped onions. Lots of Meat absolute quality (shoulder) never had a bad day in all those years. The guy who runs it now learnt from his dad and I would say as good as his dad. I very rarely go to Hanger lane these days but if I'm within 5 miles I would be there for lunch for sure. I will have to take my boys on a kebab hunt especially to the Best Kebab as you say there are a few there that are amazing quality. By the way I love Indian/Bangladesh too. Nice to have variety.
I live in Australia and we have loved your follow at home recipes , very grateful for your channel and thanks for making our home made curries better than take aways here , but concerned you have switched to restaurant reviews like Gary eats and greeno etc , please focus on your clear talent as a chef
Voila! That looks good brother. It's a shame they don't have seating but looks really busy. Can't wait to see you do a Birmingham series like this. Insha Allah you enjoyed the food. Can't wait to see you back at the helm. May Allah SWT give you the strength and energy to make more videos to share with us.❤❤❤

@LatifsInspired when making your visit, I definitely advise calling a day or two in advance to pre book your table or your wait could be a couple of hours. Ask for a table near the open kitchen so you can see everything being prepared for your video.

I've been going on a "Nigella (Lawson) recommended eatery" tour, every time I visit London and The Dusty Knuckle in Dalston is lovely. They only have three sandwiches on the menu so I can only have the egg or vegetable. I had the egg and it's absolutely fantastic. The bread is phenomenal. Be prepared to queue though. I got there at 11am on Saturday, just before sandwiches were served and I still had to wait. I was early so they asked me to step aside and come back at 11.30am (to the front of the queue).

I have a suggestion. If you are able to at some stage, it would be great if you could visit recommended eateries that are NOT in London, for those of us that don't live in London or are unlikely to ever visit there. Factors like ULEZ/Congestion charge are very off putting. Thanks
Ohhhhh small doner a tenner? I've never known any kebab shop to sell the chicken and lamb shish at the same price as doner meat. Thought there was some law against that? Then again, I suppose the robot slicer needs to be paid also. Hefty price for a small but I suppose I'd have to try it to see if the price is justified. Take-away prices have in the last 12 months just went off their nut. Even McD's are going all out. I miss the bag of chips for a quid days. ME Kebab in NW8 sells amazing kebabs, worth a visit Latif. Their small doner is 6 quid and would feed The Waltons. Large (and I mean large) 2 massive skewers of lamb or chicken shish is £9. Quality is excellent, fresh bread, fresh salad... I go every Friday

I either go for sheesh or I tell the bossman to collect the meat in a tray before it lands in the uncooked juices, it spins them out everytime and requires explaining.
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu dearest brother Latif. How are you? How is your son? Lahmacun is pronounced "lamajen". Mouth watering. I'm really fussy about done kebab. When I'm in East London, visiting my darling mother and sisters, I go to White Horse in Bethnal Green. They have won an award too. It's a shame that the place your reviewing doesn't have a seating place. I hate greasy kebabs. My mouth is watering. Take care. 😊
@LatifsInspired Yes. White Horse in Bethnal Green. I'm definitely going to Amar Goan to try their hutki borta and lotha dishes. I love Mukhi and Elisha fish.
Can I ask why you moved to Pimlico? Usually Bangladeshi people from the East End move Essex bound, unless you were born in Pimlico because I use to work around there, there is no Bangladeshi community there, there use to be a Bangladeshi welfare association on Regency street next to the famous Regency café in Westminster area but they closed down many moons ago.
@ Pimlico is a very upmarket part of London and even in 1981 the year you were born it was still gentrified. I think your old man is originally from the old historic Bengali enclaves of Drummond Street or Lissen Green in NW London, he wasn’t originally from Pimlico before you were born. I’m doing research on Bengali community outside East London, Im currently doing studies on Bengalis in Westminster and Camden, can you tell me about your fathers background and migration story to UK?
I went here once many years ago after all the hype. Nowhere to park! Was nice but I wasn’t blown away. Bro, go to Serenes in Gants Hill. Best doner around, Boris Johnson is well known to go there. Their chilli sauce is extraordinary as well. Last point, who the F eats that late?! I will not eat a thing after 6pm. Easiest way to become diabetic is consuming late night meals….
@ honest bro, our people really suffer with this. Limit your eating to 6pm max, beyond that maybe some nuts etc. We eat too much rice as well! Check out Serenes in Gants Hill for their doner; the rest is just standard.
Brother Best Kebab use to be the best but the owners left 2 years ago and it has gone down hill. Super Kebab just down from it (best kebab) is a million times better
Bro Best Kebab is very average at best, the doner is pretty low quality Any of the top kebab restaurants on green lanes like gokyuzu, diakbar, antiplier etc are far far superior and more traditional, all their other Turkish dishes as well just much better all round.
You have chef knowledge and a good personality. You are a natural talent to review restaurants. Good luck.
Wow, thank you so much

When I'm in East London, visiting my darling mother and sisters, I go to White Horse in Bethnal Green. They have won an award too. It's a shame that the place your reviewing doesn't have a seating place. I hate greasy kebabs. My mouth is watering. Take care. 😊
Wa alaikum assalam wa Rahmatullah. Bethnal green
@LatifsInspired Yes. White Horse in Bethnal Green. I'm definitely going to Amar Goan to try their hutki borta and lotha dishes. I love Mukhi and Elisha fish.
White horse in Bethnal Green is not halal.
Been hear very nice food and ppeople
Lovely team of lads
Shatkora Kebab Is The Best ❤
Really nice
@@LatifsInspired Ikr!
I’m originally from Pimlico, I’ve never lived in the east end…
@ Pimlico is a very upmarket part of London and even in 1981 the year you were born it was still gentrified. I think your old man is originally from the old historic Bengali enclaves of Drummond Street or Lissen Green in NW London, he wasn’t originally from Pimlico before you were born. I’m doing research on Bengali community outside East London, Im currently doing studies on Bengalis in Westminster and Camden, can you tell me about your fathers background and migration story to UK?
@ Other than Brick Lane and the East End, have you been to Drummond Street?

Cyprus Takeaway Poulton Le Fylde make homemade doners daily on a Friday and Saturday 13 stone in weight
You serious
Iv been there it’s just above average 7.5/10 for me
Yes 👍 nothing wow just decent
You should try royal nawab
If been Manchester branch not since it’s changed
It’s cos Stoke Newington is wheee it all started….
The mangal style of cooking …then to Green lanes Haringey…
Then all over the UK…
Simple…
Oh ok. Didn’t know that
You guys need by a phone gimbal for your video . To much movement in videos
We getting there
Come to Leicester inshallah
Inshaa’Allah
Found kebab meat on shish in London is beyond cooked,I ❤️ blood n the meat is always black
London kebabs ❤️
I went here once many years ago after all the hype. Nowhere to park! Was nice but I wasn’t blown away.
Bro, go to Serenes in Gants Hill. Best doner around, Boris Johnson is well known to go there. Their chilli sauce is extraordinary as well.
Last point, who the F eats that late?! I will not eat a thing after 6pm. Easiest way to become diabetic is consuming late night meals….
I know. It’s not good!
@ honest bro, our people really suffer with this. Limit your eating to 6pm max, beyond that maybe some nuts etc. We eat too much rice as well!
Check out Serenes in Gants Hill for their doner; the rest is just standard.
Been there donner is great but picnic kebab house in Leicester has better to be honest
Ah ok
Brother Best Kebab use to be the best but the owners left 2 years ago and it has gone down hill. Super Kebab just down from it (best kebab) is a million times better
Oh ok. I did mention I need to try that out
£12 for a large donner wow
They was cheaper before… cost of living I guess
@aceshahriyar8291 but it's donner,that is a crazy price
London tax
Emmm! Good quality though!
Should wear balaclavas, pure robbery their kebabs ain’t that good. Bland
Looks good but I don’t see the difference between that and any good high street Turkish. Many local restaurants make their own doners.
It was decent. Everyone raved about it so I had to try myself to see the hype…
Box packed with lamb Donna with few bits lamb shesh and kofta in top for £17 nah I'm good 😂
Tis on the higher side…
Been eating from this kabeb shop for 25 years and it's always been on point
Good kebab
3:40 Of course it must be halal food I reckon Latif
Yes
Bro, that place is so dead
You can’t beat Stepney Green Bengali style kebabs and I’m not even Bengali
🤷♂️
Seriously which one?
👍🏾
❤️
best kebab use to be the best after being sold its gone down hill a little still one of the better spots
They still very busy. Foods good
Bro that’s the best doner you can eat in the uk
Lovely
Doner kebab here in melbourne Australia is like (?) fake meat < unlike a souvalaki with real lamb ……real meat or it’s not good for me
I prefer shawarma to Donner though
How do you defrost one of them ? I guess u just start cooking it
Just put on the spit
Turkish food is not spicy, focus in on good quality meat and fresh basic ingredients
Yes definitely
Doesn't look any better than any other 🤔
Lamb chunks look nice though but, Donner meat looks nothing special
Maybe it's the taste?
Nothing to blow you away but I just wanted to try it out
Go to kebab kid and thank me later. Nothing like it in the uk.
Yes been there near Chelsea right?
Bro Best Kebab is very average at best, the doner is pretty low quality Any of the top kebab restaurants on green lanes like gokyuzu, diakbar, antiplier etc are far far superior and more traditional, all their other Turkish dishes as well just much better all round.
Thanks for the info
