I saw Daniel play in Victoria BC maybe 15 years ago, and he Floored us. He played a sweet composition on the pedal, and it brought tears to my eyes. I turned and looked around, and there was not a dry eye in the house.
There is a ray of energy that connects this humble listener with these people, with what they are playing ... More than 10,000 km I feel connected. That's the music ...
Enjoyed a whole evening of this great man and his music . Started out with a documentary from way back in 1987 and now this amazing performance of Daniel with his insanely great band. What he has done for music is beyond words. Thanks for this video ,all of you.
WHAT MORE 2 SAY ??? SUPER DUPER / REAL GREAT PERFORMANCE and A ALL SO GREAT MUSICIANS !!! - KEEP ON PLAYING "DANIEL LANOIS" and SWINGING 4 EVER - 1000 THANKS 2 U 4 SHARING !!! ☆♕ Stellan Viking (Blues🎸man🎙) Speaking, Singing, Screaming & Shouting @ WorldwidewelcomE ♕☆
26:43 Django Reinhardt (one of my father's idols) was a Belgium born French, he was also a "manouche" which are not exactly the same as the spanish "gipsies", so he was definitely, definitely not spanish.
I met Daniel in Tennessee one time in the middle of the summer and it was one of the humid/hottest days of the year and he was wearing that same outfit...it bothers me to this day.
Very good stuff, indeed - get's a bit avant-wanky-experimental in moments - but stays very immediate + uniquely Lanois! And yes, the drummer - holy freakin' crap!
To play with Daniel Lanois, dont you have to be committed? Like bring it or else? Not that he's a dictator Just to catch the groove, the spit if you will.
Near as I can tell, every time I watch this, is that the guy behind Daniel's job is just to stare at the rack gear and gyrate awkwardly while they play.
Turning up his amps really. Doesn’t like using effects. He does use a Korg SDD-3000 for delay, and i think that has a boosted output, hitting the amps harder.
The drummer is my grandson!
terry haugen The bassist is my AA sponsor!
Molto Benny I'll drink to that
terry haugen he is awesome!
gomezllanos Agreed!
+Molto Benny I guess you like to remove the anonymity out of Alcoholics Anonymous
12:50 did this poor guy know what was in store for his arms!! Holy Smokes!! Legendary!!!
this guy produced "the Joshua Tree" Peter Gabriel "So", etc..
i am always impressed how he gives such an open, honest answer, in interviews.

Man.....I want this session on vinyl... So amazing!
I knew Lanois is a genius, but holy shit, this drummer wow
Check out Lanois work with drummer Brian Blade if you haven’t already.
My first thought - that drummer is amazing!
I'll never get tired of watching and listening to this

Thanks captain obvious. 🙄
Very fine all of it, and also nice to see the drummer who stole my mom's elasticized-waist denim onesy in 1972 has been keeping it in good nick.
He only hand washes it with a gentle detergent.
He folds it closed in fine linen at night and reads to it before nap time.
I saw Daniel Lanois in Hamilton on May 2 2015. The best concert I've ever gone to!
Priceless drummer
You are so right!
Kyle's the man!!!!
coming from the ottawa valley i understand the magic of where this comes from
discovering this, I never thought I could stand to hear a pedal steel guitar that much! His guitar playing is as awsome as this!
I saw them in Cologne/Germany this summer. I loved it. Great band.. they are so...awake...

My God I just watched and listened to this again and I’m so happy to have found this. Marie Claire jam is out of this orbit!
Beautiful the man like Eno has the midas touch.

Man, you got to be a helluva drummer to play with Lanois.
Beautiful xxx

Guess he's just so cool! Lol
He told me once in London that he’d rather be too hot on stage than too cold.
That's his Sonny Barger Hells Angels look from the 70's.
Must be what he likes.
Must be what he likes.
Lanois is genius
precious!
Pure!!

Minute 17:26: Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwww ...
Near as I can tell, every time I watch this, is that the guy behind Daniel's job is just to stare at the rack gear and gyrate awkwardly while they play.
He's the good vibe technician and visual time keeper.
Rocky on drums !
Very cool set. How is he getting that overdrive? Dope

Wow...
RDR2 brought me and likley most of you here...."and that's the way it is"....

Did Wayne ever turn on the computer?

What was the effect he was processing on with the sliders? I missed it
Lones Muaka Lexicon Prime Time.
Lexicon Prime Time Digital Delay Model 93
The only guitarist I know of who has seen death- it's obvious in his playing.
His album Life and Machine reminds me of birth so its kinda funny you say that. However I do agree!
Brian Eno on steroids! 🤔 Masterful!
No pressure Wayne! 😳
Who is the drummer?
Wonder what road side bar they drove their hogs to after that gig.
What's drummer name, someone please
Kyle Crane
Credits ? I wanna know who the drummer is.

one dude is a kanye west fan....
I hope the drummer made 10 times the wage as the guy dancing around trying to be cool. And 5 times the wage as the star trying to be cool
Well said and plain spoken
