I am a Polish guy living in North Wales, UK. I have just discovered an amazing Swedish band and listening to probably the most extraordinary song about mowing the lawn. Isn't life beautiful!
I woke up this morning never having heard of Daniel Norgren. Found him randomly on the Ancienne Belgique channel. Now making the rounds (NPR, KEXP, etc.). What a find! The best kind of day is discovering music as special as this for the first time,
@@Eltonnbnbnb Amazing! I grew up in Texas. My family sat on the front porch singing in the evening. My uncles played guitar but THESE guys are on genius level!

I experienced actual feelings of extasy at one of his concerts during "everything you know melts away like snow". I don't remember ever having felt such a strong reaction to music. It was total bliss.
I love the respect these guys have towards each other. Daniel first introduces the crew, making sure people realize, that without everyone partaking, the experience isnt met! And this is exactly in a way what the first song tries to summarize in my mind. You guys are the best synergy that is possible through music, because of the friendship. Im hearing this in hard times and i can appreciate this in such a circumstance especially. Thanks for sharing your mind and visions through music with us.
Seen them live a couple of times now, every concert was a vastly different but always magical experience. The friendship and respect they have for each other is readily apparent on the stage. It's also just so fascinating to see how attentive and in tune with Daniel the rest of the band is, this is what allows him to go on these lengthy, improvised rambling solos that make their live music so different from the already lifechanging studio music. They are amazing. Their organ player did a transverse flute solo last time I saw them, and it was clear it was one of the first time they attempted that, since everyone else was grinning and watching closely. Seem like genuinely good blokes, the lot of them
Libationsdis They played the hometown festival stage I manage two weeks before this set. Some of the finest groove mining and vibe surfing I’ve witnessed! ❤️
Daniel, thank you for your beautiful music! I just "discovered" yalls music. Sweden holds a special place in my heart from my first visit to friends in 1997 as a young 19 year old. I plan to hear your music in person soon. My son Ezra is 12 and we both have listend to you every day on the way to school. From USA state of Virginia Thank you!

Great artist and band. Watched this performance on KEXP many times and went to see Daniel and band live yesterday at their only show in the Netherlands. Really nice show, and great to see and hear it happen live in front of your eyes.
This is so amazing. Really touched me. It is not incredibly often that I find something that I know I'll be listening to forever, even on KEXP it can be a hit or miss despite the talent involved as to which music will touch me in this way But this is great. Like the guy on these comments said about mushrooms. They grow and you've thought you've picked them all, only to wake up the next morning to see them in different places
Also, discovered Daniel maybe in the last year. The best-kept secret in music. I can't stop listening and have learned six of his songs and want to learn them all.
I love End of the road festival. I'd never heard of Daniel before today, just discovered him as he's playing there in late summer. added to my must see list. Just hope he's on The Garden stage.
Så gôtt å höra dig beskriva Östra Frölunda. Så gôtt å höra dig skriva och spela din musik. Från din första tekniker i K3 i Borås. Följer dig och njuter, Daniel!
Spot in Emil! It’s pure meditation. I remember Daniel played this song at Tønder Festival in my home country Denmark back in 2019. It was my first meeting with Daniels music, it was 10 pm on a beautiful august evening and I was with my best friend from high school. I was completely spellbound. I often miss those days.. Especially now.
i hope there will come a day where this stuff gets pressed on Vinyl so i can listen to it full steam in my room and doing Nothing except moving my Body and empty my head
They have been my favorite band for a while now and they always deliver. They have such a great balance between calming and soulful as well as rough and raw sound.
I love how he thinks writing an idea for a song in a book seems pretentious but carrying a bunch of electronics into the woods - totally genuine and natural. But ultimately, when someone is as talented as he is he can do whatever he wants - just keep doing it.
I think I get him. He doesn't go into the woods to be pretentious, it's sort of the opposite. But, talking about it on KEXP is sort of pretentious. He gets away with it though.
Was sittin on a bench in the sun just crying out over these tracks.. such a deep and great artist with an amazing band! we're from the same town in Sweden and knows his cousin.
@@F0XxX98 Javisst! Opeth Sångare, även lite i Bloodbath. He really did!
I first heard Daniel Norgren on the soundtrack of a lovely sweeping film called "Le Otto Montagne." What a special man.
Same here. Great film and mesmerising score by Norgren.
Listening to Daniel Norgren after seeing Le Otto montagne. Absolute masterpiece
Man having KEXP as a local radio is the dream.
Here is what you can do: download an international radio app like mytunerfree, then you can listen to kexp from wherever you want!

One of my fave all time KEXP's, always come back to this during the fall and winter.
its like when you leave the house on a cold day and you wore the perfect amount of warm clothes.
wow this is poetic
That comment should be cited on the album casing.
@Brian Brian That is a very Brian comment. Thanks for the laugh.
This might be the most accurate and beautiful comment Ive ever read about a song.

better than album version haha
