I wish more people did exactly what this guy does in his videos no unnecessary crap just the mission at hand and how to do it the right way. Wisest guy I’ve ever listened to other than myself. Don’t forget it ! FIX IT! 👍🏻

I really enjoy this mans knowledge that he puts into his videos and the amazing details. I have successfully rebuilt my own 4r70w transmission and now I have plenty of confidence in trying my second rebuild and its going to be a 46re. I know watching transmission bench videos I will have no issues. Thanks again

Thank you sir. I have a 2 2001 dodge ram 1500s. One of them has 325000 miles and the other has 258000 miles on it. I've been struggling putting junkyard used transmissions on them about every two years just to get by. I will attempt my own full transmission rebuild because of your videos. I appreciate you so much, and I live the nice slow pace in which you teach.

@Transmissionbench I myself own a 2nd generation Dodge Ram, however I didn't buy it new like you have. But I agree with you about working on your own vehicle, it's free labor, and you get to learn things about it as well. Plus when the project is done, you gain a sense of pride in the fact that you did it yourself. But I've always worked on my own trucks, it's how I was raised! My 1996 Ram is my second love and at 165k is getting a ground up restoration/ modification and color change. Thanks for teaching me how to work on the transmission!

Great series. I have a new TC and cooler, but it looks like I have to tear it down by the amounts of clutch material! Slams hard into gear forward or reverse and dies. I think the converter grenaded! Thanks J in Albuquerque.

Whenever I replace a transmission, I replace the radiator and add a larger transmission cooler. The transmission cooler inside the old radiator can get clogged with debris from the old burned up transmission. It's almost impossible to make sure that it's flushed out. You don't want debris from the old transmission breaking loose and ending up in your new transmission. It's good practice to just replace it. Often, if you buy a rebuilt transmission and don't replace the radiator. It voids the warranty of your new transmission.

Really like the classes. Can a thin disk be used in a clutch pack containing standard disks?

I've got a 2000 dodge ram 1500 sport 4x4. My old transmission went out so I got a new transmission and transfer case from powertorque transmissions. I got it in installed and it jumps at 35mph and the over drive feels like it slips what's wrong with my transmission? And I certainly want to rebuild mine because your instructions are very clear I just want to know an easy way to lower and lift my transmission back into my truck.
