Thanks a lot Michelle. Here is what I did. I pulled out all the cables including the Power. Next I pressed the Power On switch and held it on for 10 to 15 seconds to discharge any residual charge on internal nodes. Then I replaced the Power Cable only and restarted the PC. The PC showed signs of coming to life. The PC then ran through the start up cycle, Next I inserted the USB inputs and now thankfully I am back in business. Hope, this process helps others. Thanks again.
Hi so I had the beeps but after I held the power button for 15 seconds while the cables were all off, and then I reconnected my cable, it just normally turned on like nothing happened. Please tell me what I did! Thanks!
This comment saved me, I went and checked the charger again. Turns out the pin inside the plug was bent causing it not to plug on fully. Fixed it now the charger goes in all the way and it works now. Thanks 👍
YOU SAVED MY COMPUTER THANK YOU SO MUCH. Whenever it beeps like this i get scared because is so loud and annoying. I did all these steps and it worked. THANK YOU SO MUCHHH !!
Thank you thank you thank you!!! I had no idea what those beeps and black screen of death were!! My issue is totally resolved now!!! I appreciate finding your video instruction!! I thought I had to buy a new computer 💻 God bless you!! ❤😊
Thanks for the video. Best way I fixed mine was to clean both plug and port with 91% rubbing alcohol. And make sure the plug was shoved in all the way inside. The smart pin was the issue
Thank you so much I took my computer apart and everything I couldn’t find one thing not working but then I saw your tutorial so I decided to watch it as a last ditch effort now my computer works perfectly. Thank you so much.❤❤❤❤
It doesn’t show the keyboard error for me but that’s because I need to have it hooked up to a monitor for it to work, the screen is messed up so I can’t use the touchscreen! What do I do?
I need help. My desktop made 8 long white beeps and i got a display monitor but main screen is cracked and broken so i use the monitor and i tried repluging cables and restarting it many times but the beeps and error persists but i checked the main computer screen which looks cracked and i see bits of the home login screen but it's not beeping then it turned black. What do i do?
creator, i just found out my PC was using the USB port instead of the PC port, i didnt know it so i plugged in the keyboard to my phone, then when the keyboard wasnt there it started to load (PC) like normal, even tho i thought it wasnt going to work.
I bought a new 90 watt adapter before I saw your video and that didn't seem to fix my issue with the beeps. I tried your method and my HP Envy All-in-one just turned off without any error message and I had to unplug it and plug it in again for power. Problem is the beeps began happening again. Do you have any suggestions?
I think i’m dealing with this but not sure because i turned it on acouple days ago and it was really loud like you said but i think it’s constantly beeping for me i’m not sure because when i heard it i turned it off because i just woke up and scared me so bad and thought i was dreaming or something and asked my sister to hear it and we didn’t know what to do i’m also scared to listen to it again because i live in an apartment and don’t wanna disturb any neighbors
The beeps are definitely SUPER unreasonably LOUD and scary. They feel like they go on forever, but mine went on for just the 5 cycles. The computer needs us to hear it scream for a minute or two and then tell us what's wrong. 🤣🤣 Hopefully, your neighbors can understand for two minutes and I hope you can fix your computer! Good luck!
@@Cassandra-zo7zz If you’re talking about the blue CMOS checksum, mine didn’t show up the first time I did it too! (I might have had my usb in at the time but I can’t remember exactly) It just went to a black screen after the error like it was dead. I unplugged it and redid the cycles again and it showed up the second time.
@@michelletranedu The CMOS checksum message came up for you because the CMOS battery in your all-in-one has died. It's a little coin-sized battery (usually a CR2032) that keeps the CMOS chip powered even when your computer is unplugged, in order to keep your BIOS settings saved and keep the real-time clock going. After it dies, when the computer is unplugged (or in the case of a laptop, if its main battery is completely depleted or removed) the BIOS settings will get reset to their default values and the clock will be reset, and you'll get the "CMOS checksum invalid" error. On desktops it's pretty easy to replace, just take off the side panel and swap the dead one on the motherboard with a fresh one, but in most laptops and all-in-ones it's usually a huge pain in the butt, often requiring complete disassembly. Used to be they'd have little access panels on the bottom/back to allow swapping out common replacements like the RAM, hard drive, and CMOS battery, but I haven't seen new laptops or all-in-ones with those in a good while.
YOU SAVED MY LIFE. I thought I would have to get a whole new computer! Thank you so very much for this video!!
Glad I could help! ❤
