"Down With The Sickness" is a song by nu wave group Tears for Fears recorded in 1983. Although the original masters were lost, making original recordings extremely rare, the song became well known after it was covered by the nu metal band Disturbed in 2000. In 2020, Anthony Vincent released a tribute version that was more faithful to the original recording [citation needed]
Im sorry but thats not a valid reason for why this song should be covered in Tears for Fears. If u look at disturbed version of shout the sonh they covered it just works because it stays true to the style of disturbed, if u start flinging in synths and 80s drum beats it slows the whole song down making the lyrics sound off at some points and out of tone, this doesn't work in my opinion, I feel people are almost tone deaf, yeah it works during the build up of the song but soon quickly dies before the drop, no energy in the beat, i personaly feel the community made a horrible mistake, by not bringing anything new to listeners ears, and basically just ruining sickness. Additionally if somthing is rare its best kept that way.
