      He mistakenly called Arkansas' "Cardinal Red" school color "maroon;" then continued to talk ("stridently") and repeated the phrase, "...long story short...." like 3 times.
      Don't know if its voice or elocution but something annoying about this narrator.....

    Thanx to Alice Wright pushing the pace, 8 of the top 11 finishers posted personal bests, a couple by more than a minute.

    A great race by Alice Wright, leading the majority of the way, then regrouping for a fantastic second place finish. She is going to be a favorite for this year's NCAA Cross Country title, no doubt.

    Holy shit, I didn't know collegiate runners ran the 10k this fast. I never would have guessed that the women would be running barely over 5min/mile.

    Ah, the marvelous Hayward Field in Eugene. You should see it now. Nothing remains the same except for the track. The new stands will be spectacular. I finished a few marathons there and I ran up and down the stands for training.

    "Avon came in and long story short, developed some major marathons."
    Kind of making the story longer by saying "Long story short" so often, no? :P

    Call me crazy. I did bet from the start at the girl with red bottom black top, who ranked in last position in the first round. - Now at 13:22 I can see how she always moved up at the end of the leading pack avoiding the gaps, now in 9th position. Now I bet she's going to finish top 5, if not top 3. Let's see. - uhh oh. Now at 16:00 there is the gap, she remains 9th. How would I have liked a runner starting at the back ending in the medals.

    83 for the first lap. Once that happens there is no need to keep watching. Just let them do a 1 mile race and save everyone a half hour. And now Larry Rawson is advertising for the military. What is this the NFL now?

      run Caz there’s a reason why there are different events. Running well in a 3k doesn’t have much correlation to someone’s success to the 10k. Especially at collegiate level

  • @Frank-n-Sense
    @Frank-n-Sense 5 лет назад +2

    Most races are very predictable for the past couple of years. The pack runs slow until the last lap or 2.
    No records are even close to being broken, and it all comes down to a sprint.
    Whoever has the most 'fast-twitch' muscle fibers... wins. Rinse and repeat (yawn).
