Hey Mark, this is so beautiful to see our African American 🇺🇸 brothers and sisters coming back to Africa to settle. We need some African families who can welcome and help our diaspora families settle in. @Princess Princess those who go with an open mind and mix with the locals will settle there. Those who see negativity all the time in their struggle & don't plan enough will eventually return. That's universal for any people relocating to different countries. Let's just wish them luck in their journeys. Both results are lessons learnt.

Mark you are so right on about the trauma and American Africans coming to Africa and having that trauma reflected back to them. I had very little problems in Africa, and i was always eager to return, but I spent years preparing myself. I was never really disappointed even when I ran into not so friendly or slightly hostile people because i could be assured it was not me. and I met some the most wonderful people that i have ever known. Now that I am looking for a permenent resident outside the U.S, most African countried make it so hard to get a permanent visa I have had to look at some of the South and Central American countries, instead of dealing with the hassle of leaving and coming back every 3 months on a tourist visa. Even in Ghana you have to report once a month to extend your stay and pay a small fee, but they are not so hard on letting you stay for longer period of time but it is still inconvenient. I am disappointed, but I will be able to meet a lot of people of African ancestry in other countries I hope in the future the immigration policies will change towards blacks in America coming to Africa.

Luckily for me, as social as I was, I did not deeply involve myself with anyone or any group. I was and am just me and who I am. This give me the freedom of not caring too much about what the group is doing or thinks, because most of the group does not think for themselves, so they do not always truly believe what they seem to believe.
