Good tip on the clipping of the pin. I found a 2018 Redragon k552 i never used and was starting to mod it for fun. I remember the old akko 3 pins fit so i figured i get some new ones and clip the plastic pins . Well at least i did not bend the pin when i noticed it was not going in easy figured i would have to file the pins a bit but i may just get some different switches to clip. Anything sounds better than the old school outema blue none lubed clickies . After a lot of digging on github got QMK on it just need to do the Via and maybe Srgb and find a 3d case that i can print and swap it in and add a usb-c board. Seems like a fun mod to dip my toes back in the hobby.
I have several K552s including the BBK which is the bare Bones kit that actually has a USB port and isn't corded, I know it's a tray mounted steel plate but I still have a big place in my heart for this model!
