    Hiya. Loved hearing your working out, like maths problems, they want to see the working. Interesting how you adapt Bluegrass. Good luck with next ensemble concert. When you strum it sounds almost like 2 instruments. Calamine Lotion is good for calming bites. Shed tour soonest ? Stay frosty, hang loose. Martin London UK

    We used to buy some stuff from Tupperware? or Amway? called "Skin-So-Soft". It was supposed to be some kind of lotion or soap, but it WORKED as a bug repellent. It had a flower fragrance that made us absolutely abhorrent to mosquitos.

    Love those licks! Looking forward to hearing the whole thing put together :)
    Personally, I think the level of production quality is perfect - it's simple, it's personal and it works. If you want to clean it up though, I'd suggest getting a lav mic for your voice, with an outdoors cap for windy days. Not sure what your budget is, but a wireless sender/receiver to go with it would be nice, so you can move around.
    Also, that music technology class will hopefully show you that lots can be done in post, without much effort :)

    I wouldn't mind some occasional blurry focus to finally see the much-anticipated Shed Tour, but only if it's not going to bother you to post it that way. For the P.O. box, it'd be fun to be able to send some kind of little doodad if that kind of thing would be fun for you. I was just thinking the other day how much I miss sending physical mail rather than digital all the time.

    Also I think you said you use or tried Audacity. In Audacity- Effects- Volume and Compression- Loudness Normalization... You can set the Perceived Loudness to -14 LUFS which is a median sound setting for RUclips sound settings. It will balance the sound for the diverse listening eq. oh and my vote is raw out of focus real tour teehee.

    Phoebe thank you for sharing all of these pieces. Just remember that the speed will come with practice. You are doing so well. Your playing always puts a smile on my face. I played drums in a gospel/blues/jazz outfit on my 75th birthday last Sunday with no rehearsal. I enjoyed it because I knew all of the songs anyway. You will reach a point in your playing when you do not have to concentrate as much and the music will just flow. I can sense that you are probably already there. :)

Your audio was a little low but okay, and the shed tour is your choice I'll enjoy either one. Check on a temporary PO box post when you will have it open for about a month that way the expense will be nominal. If you open one I'd send you a small Crate amplifier . • @kote315
    @kote315 Месяц назад +1

    Thanks for not touching the microphone😄.
    There is quite a big difference in volume between the voice and the banjo, maybe next time place the microphone a little closer to the mouth. You can also reduce the difference a little during editing (using something like a slow compressor, I don't know what software you use and can't give specific advice). Ah, don't pay too much attention, it sounds perfectly acceptable as is and I like your videos anyway.
    I vote to leave the shed tour as it is and not re-shoot it. For some reason it seems to me that in a few months you will have some changes and you will want to shoot another one.

So the recording of the shed tour might not be perfect, but after all isn't this channel about banjos and not sheds.

      ...or a video that she's at least "satisfied with," which I'm sure Phoebe could do, even using it as a way to explore stylistic options for her channel, much as she explores stylistic choices in her playing (with this video being a perfect example!). What rankles - especially when *Phoebe asked for viewer input* - are the comments about trolls and that "nobody's perfect." Those are just dumb. Who's saying that Phoebe - this amazing young performer - has to be "perfect"? Geez. We make these good-faith suggestions *exactly because we respect and admire what she's doing* and want to support her as she continues to grow as an artist. This "troll" and "nobody's perfect" stuff is cotton-candy nonsense.
