It's so sad that women like this can so easily have babies and then kill them on purpose. But you get someone like me who's S.O. is very hard to have a child with and wants a child to love and take care of so bad. I've had a miscarriage and having a hard time getting pregnant again. 😢 There's plenty of families who would be willing to take the child in their home. This is so sad.
I hope you have a healthy pregnancy soon followed by a smooth birth and a a happy, healthy baby. We've had a couple miscarriages in the years we've been together but we're hoping it'll happen for us soon.

That's awesome thats my story too. I was a heroin addict for 5 years and as soon as I got pregnant I got clean. So did my sons dad too and our son is now almost 5. I love hearing stories like ours where parents did the right thing and got clean for their children.

Yeah I’m pretty sure she won’t. Womens prison don’t operate the same as mens. There’s many of women just out walking around in gen pop that have commited crimes against their own children. I don’t know that for sure but I saw an interview stating as much.
My mom stayed in prison with a women killed all her kids. She did it cause her bf didn't want them. Like 4 kids I think. Same way. She took one by one and drowned them my mom said a lot people killed there kids.
My daughter was born october 2022. What a beautiful moment it is watching her grow. To hear this Tragedy she was never given a chance at being. Just being herself with no expectations. This case puts me in mind of Aleksandra Eckersley. She gave birth on Christmas night. Her father is former Red Sox Hall of Famer Ron Eckersley. This birth took place at an outdoor drug camp in New Hampshire. I wonder if The Misery Machine is following this.

It's selfish and heartless to do otherwise. The bonus side effects included feeling fantastic all the time. Better than any drug! Your baby is healthy. I've seen babies that are constantly being hospitalized due to asthma symptoms. They couldn't breathe in the womb and can't breathe out of the womb. Unbelievable!

this happened in the state i live in. remember this being covered on the news nonstop back in december while i was spending a few weeks with my grandmother. we were both horrified by the whole situation...never thought id see it covered on this channel honestly. you both did a good job covering this
When we moved to Mississippi in January i tried for over 6 wks to get my kid registered in public school. It seemed impossible due yo our situation. We ultimately decided to homeschool and I was able to do so via email. Filling out a form.... Thats it. Never even needed to see my kid or me in person. Talk about a broken system. I know this.doesnt relate to this case perse but I predict some ugly cases out of this area in the future. How many babies are just brushed under the rug.
I live close to Fort Dodge and my mom is actually friends with one of Brandon Thoma’s relatives. This case absolutely tore her apart to hear about, because she’s also deeply connected to law enforcement in the area through her job. His extended family has a business in my town and I worry that the Thoma name could undeservedly hurt their business with how horrendous and notorious this case has become in the area. This is an unspeakable and evil tragedy and it’s really hit home just how real these events are, how everyone in the area and beyond is impacted. Fort Dodge has an issue with drugs, much like a lot of the parts of Iowa here, but what happened here wasn’t a result of drugs, it was a result of pure cold-blooded evil and I can only hope that that we see true justice for this innocent victim.

I agree they cover events I've never heard of that have even happened within an hour of my rural home and I never even seen it reported on our local news. Without their coverage alo t of these poor children would never have their stories told and the perpetrators held accountable in the public's eye. I can't ever bring myself to start cleaning house or doing chores unless I have TMM playing in background. They do the best job reporting on these heinous crimes and give the children a voice they never had in life❤

Our Grandaughter and her boyfriend are on drugs and she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. She immediately refused any help or suggestions but did scam family out of $ for the baby's diapers and formula and then would spend it on drugs. She refused to feed and care for her baby and during a domestic violence call with CPS witnessing her violent anger removed her baby for 1 year until they got their sh*t together. Well (no suprise) they could not and he was adopted by a wonderful loving family. When he was removed from her he was 1 1/2 years old and was only 15 lbs and could not turn over. He would just lay and stare, not even turning his head. He is now a thriving healthy little boy that has caught up with his age group. I prayed every day for his safety and that he would find a loving family and would not remember his birth parents. Thank you God!

Our 17 year old granddaughter had our great grandson last October, she just graduated high school, she works full-time, she lives at home with her daddy. I've told her a 1,000 times if you get stressed, take the baby down too your daddy, take a walk or just cry. I've told her that I'll take the baby and raise him if you need me, he'll always be your son. I not dumb, it's hard at 17, I won't lie nor will I sugar coat anything, I was a 16 year old mother, I had my parents, friends and now he's 42 and a grandpa. I never take anything for granted, I think about these young kids with little babies, we just never know. I'm not blind and so many things can go really bad, really fast.
I used to watch the Teen Mom show when it first began, and stories like those are why my 17, 16, and 15 year old daughters are all on birth control. They can choose what kind they prefer, but it's not optional. Teenagers are full of hormones, and they are going to have s*x eventually...and they aren't going to discuss it with their parents first...so they need to be on birth control BEFORE they need it.
It's just unfathomable to me that a parent, especially a mother who's carried that baby in their womb, could ever harm an innocent baby. I can't even describe the love I have for my kids. I would give my own my own life for my children if I had to . When they were babies, I would just sit and stare at them while they slept just so in love with my precious babies. Even a skinned knee hurt my heart. You just never want them to be in any kind of pain. Plus, there are so many couples out there who can't have children who would have taken that baby in a heartbeat. There are 3-5 years waiting lists to adopt newborns. If you don't want the baby, there are plenty that do. People will even pay for everything while you're pregnant to adopt the baby after it's born. There's help out there , there's just no need to do what these horrible people do.

Something to do with if they change their mind and the tubal can't be reversed. One of the mothers who lost both of her children in the Oklahoma City Bombing got her tubal reversed and thank God it worked. Reasons like that. She still could have been on birth control. Almost all women have fairly easy access to a health department where you can get it free! IUD, pill, implant, condoms...it's all free. But also another place she would be worried about blood work, urine samples, ect.. that would show her meth use. Smdh...

This is so sad. No one would have called the police because there was a baby. And she even had a relative waiting to take her. Why not just call their sister to come get the baby? They could have told the neighbor it was hers and she was on her way. They must have been in Stimulant Psychosis. These drugs are nothing to play with. I’m in the addiction recovery field and people often comment that they used drugs and never hurt anybody. You can’t know for sure how stimulants will affect you. A lot of people experience psychosis later, either from cumulative effects and loss of sleep or when the formula changes. This case is tragic. 💔
They were crack heads. They were trying to get her to miscarry. Its doubtful they were giving the baby up to her sister. Welfare and drugs are much of the driving force in child abuse and filicide.
I agree Psychosis is very scary! My older brother is one of the best men I know he'll do anything for anyone. But when he was in a very long lasting meth induced psychosis years ago it was the scarest thing. He was a completely different person, he did something that would've landing him in prison for years but thankful nobody told & he got clean. Kayleens grandparents worked with locals and Fort Dodge now has Iowa's first Safe Haven Baby Box. I'm so glad that her grandparents are remembering her in such a loving way. Hopefully, they can save other babies from a similar fate.

They can be really expensive, or you have to travel hours to get that service which to some people, makes it harder to access. Now it’s even worse because many people have to leave the state and travel through several states to access that procedure….. and while the overturn may not have caused this case…. It will absolutely increase the risk of this happening more and more in the future. 🥺

Kinda makes your tummy turn all sour and twisty. This goes on everywhere. Comprehensive sex ed and prescription birth control as common as high school and driver's licenses. We are headed in the opposite direction. This will be so bad in a few very short years. They have no foresight. It will backfire. I pity the children and families their new laws will ruin.

It's so sad that women like this can so easily have babies and then kill them on purpose. But you get someone like me who's S.O. is very hard to have a child with and wants a child to love and take care of so bad. I've had a miscarriage and having a hard time getting pregnant again. 😢
There's plenty of families who would be willing to take the child in their home. This is so sad.

I read an article about an infertile couple and the husband started taking Zinc. And it worked, now they have 3 healthy children.

That's awesome thats my story too. I was a heroin addict for 5 years and as soon as I got pregnant I got clean. So did my sons dad too and our son is now almost 5. I love hearing stories like ours where parents did the right thing and got clean for their children.

Yeah I’m pretty sure she won’t. Womens prison don’t operate the same as mens. There’s many of women just out walking around in gen pop that have commited crimes against their own children. I don’t know that for sure but I saw an interview stating as much.
A lot of women in there murdered their kids. She may not get any jailhouse justice but I think he will.
My mom stayed in prison with a women killed all her kids. She did it cause her bf didn't want them. Like 4 kids I think. Same way. She took one by one and drowned them my mom said a lot people killed there kids.

this happened in the state i live in. remember this being covered on the news nonstop back in december while i was spending a few weeks with my grandmother. we were both horrified by the whole situation...never thought id see it covered on this channel honestly. you both did a good job covering this
When we moved to Mississippi in January i tried for over 6 wks to get my kid registered in public school. It seemed impossible due yo our situation. We ultimately decided to homeschool and I was able to do so via email. Filling out a form.... Thats it. Never even needed to see my kid or me in person. Talk about a broken system. I know this.doesnt relate to this case perse but I predict some ugly cases out of this area in the future. How many babies are just brushed under the rug.

I live close to Fort Dodge and my mom is actually friends with one of Brandon Thoma’s relatives. This case absolutely tore her apart to hear about, because she’s also deeply connected to law enforcement in the area through her job. His extended family has a business in my town and I worry that the Thoma name could undeservedly hurt their business with how horrendous and notorious this case has become in the area. This is an unspeakable and evil tragedy and it’s really hit home just how real these events are, how everyone in the area and beyond is impacted. Fort Dodge has an issue with drugs, much like a lot of the parts of Iowa here, but what happened here wasn’t a result of drugs, it was a result of pure cold-blooded evil and I can only hope that that we see true justice for this innocent victim.

I agree they cover events I've never heard of that have even happened within an hour of my rural home and I never even seen it reported on our local news. Without their coverage alo t of these poor children would never have their stories told and the perpetrators held accountable in the public's eye. I can't ever bring myself to start cleaning house or doing chores unless I have TMM playing in background. They do the best job reporting on these heinous crimes and give the children a voice they never had in life❤

Our Grandaughter and her boyfriend are on drugs and she gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. She immediately refused any help or suggestions but did scam family out of $ for the baby's diapers and formula and then would spend it on drugs. She refused to feed and care for her baby and during a domestic violence call with CPS witnessing her violent anger removed her baby for 1 year until they got their sh*t together. Well (no suprise) they could not and he was adopted by a wonderful loving family. When he was removed from her he was 1 1/2 years old and was only 15 lbs and could not turn over. He would just lay and stare, not even turning his head. He is now a thriving healthy little boy that has caught up with his age group. I prayed every day for his safety and that he would find a loving family and would not remember his birth parents. Thank you God!

Our 17 year old granddaughter had our great grandson last October, she just graduated high school, she works full-time, she lives at home with her daddy. I've told her a 1,000 times if you get stressed, take the baby down too your daddy, take a walk or just cry. I've told her that I'll take the baby and raise him if you need me, he'll always be your son. I not dumb, it's hard at 17, I won't lie nor will I sugar coat anything, I was a 16 year old mother, I had my parents, friends and now he's 42 and a grandpa. I never take anything for granted, I think about these young kids with little babies, we just never know. I'm not blind and so many things can go really bad, really fast.
I used to watch the Teen Mom show when it first began, and stories like those are why my 17, 16, and 15 year old daughters are all on birth control. They can choose what kind they prefer, but it's not optional. Teenagers are full of hormones, and they are going to have s*x eventually...and they aren't going to discuss it with their parents first...so they need to be on birth control BEFORE they need it.

It's just unfathomable to me that a parent, especially a mother who's carried that baby in their womb, could ever harm an innocent baby. I can't even describe the love I have for my kids. I would give my own my own life for my children if I had to . When they were babies, I would just sit and stare at them while they slept just so in love with my precious babies. Even a skinned knee hurt my heart. You just never want them to be in any kind of pain. Plus, there are so many couples out there who can't have children who would have taken that baby in a heartbeat. There are 3-5 years waiting lists to adopt newborns. If you don't want the baby, there are plenty that do. People will even pay for everything while you're pregnant to adopt the baby after it's born. There's help out there , there's just no need to do what these horrible people do.

Something to do with if they change their mind and the tubal can't be reversed. One of the mothers who lost both of her children in the Oklahoma City Bombing got her tubal reversed and thank God it worked. Reasons like that. She still could have been on birth control. Almost all women have fairly easy access to a health department where you can get it free! IUD, pill, implant, condoms...it's all free. But also another place she would be worried about blood work, urine samples, ect.. that would show her meth use. Smdh...

This is so sad. No one would have called the police because there was a baby. And she even had a relative waiting to take her. Why not just call their sister to come get the baby? They could have told the neighbor it was hers and she was on her way. They must have been in Stimulant Psychosis. These drugs are nothing to play with. I’m in the addiction recovery field and people often comment that they used drugs and never hurt anybody. You can’t know for sure how stimulants will affect you. A lot of people experience psychosis later, either from cumulative effects and loss of sleep or when the formula changes. This case is tragic. 💔

I agree Psychosis is very scary! My older brother is one of the best men I know he'll do anything for anyone. But when he was in a very long lasting meth induced psychosis years ago it was the scarest thing. He was a completely different person, he did something that would've landing him in prison for years but thankful nobody told & he got clean. But we've always noticed he's never been quite the same since that episode.

Oh my gosh this is so disgusting. It makes me so angry 😡. I couldn't have my own children,so it really hurts hearing about and seeing all the abuse cases leading to death in children still over the world. People haven't gotten more horrible. There are just more people making this a huge problem.. 😞

Kayleens grandparents worked with locals and Fort Dodge now has Iowa's first Safe Haven Baby Box. I'm so glad that her grandparents are remembering her in such a loving way. Hopefully, they can save other babies from a similar fate.

They can be really expensive, or you have to travel hours to get that service which to some people, makes it harder to access. Now it’s even worse because many people have to leave the state and travel through several states to access that procedure….. and while the overturn may not have caused this case…. It will absolutely increase the risk of this happening more and more in the future. 🥺

Unfortunately addiction ruins and destroys lives. They obviously weren't in the right mind set. What happened was horrendous and this is so sad for all. I truly hope that they can serve their time and start to help others if they get out with addiction by telling their story.
Life in prison for both.

There are so many childless people out there who are capable of providing a nurturing, loving and kind home...a safe place for so many children. Why? It's not just about the escalating crime in our world, it's terrifying the extent that people will go to crime wise. The viciousness of it all, the pure 'evil'. I truly hope both of them rot in hell for all eternity and then some more.......I can't even fathom what they did without wanting to rip both of them apart, sorry but that's how I feel.
