Lol I can't even lie. The PS button on my controller would not work. I beat the controller and it came on. Took it apart looked at the wiring and the battery was not plugged all the way in. Shout out to PlayStation factory good job. Appreciate the informative video, taught me how to disassemble my controller and how to reassemble. FYI the controller is working perfect
Same but doing anything would not fix, just opened my ps4 today, saw there was a gap like 🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️⚪️🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵 in ps button circuit ribbon . Trying to fix it rn

I was fixing my joystick drift and accidentally scratched the ribbon. Analog buttons all dead now lol. Ordered a replacement ribbon and gonna fix it tmrw. I was just curious on how to detach the L1/L2 and R1/R2 and this vid showed it perfectly. Thank you!

Hi I’m wondering how I can fix my ps4 controller because my ps4 home button won’t work I opened it up and cleaned it with rubbing alcohol then worked for like a day then today it wouldn’t work at all please help
You want a much better way to take the triggers off? Press one of the triggers and put your butter knife into the gap that opens between the trigger and bumper button, then press your button closed gently. The trigger button will come out very easily.

Replaced a joystick, do you mean off the main board? Because the joysticks are soldered on

Well its worth a try, the ribbon circuit board only cost $5. If you dont want to replace the ribbon circuit board, you can try taking out the ribbon circuit board and putting it back in and seeing if that fixes it.

Where did you get that circuit board bro? I bought one from Ali xpress and it only lasted me a month and a half..trashhh
How do you get the PCB button ribbon kajigger to stay in place when closing it up? It doesn't want to stay put even with the tiny pegs poking through it.
It usually has some give to it, but if it's been placed onto the pegs and still moving drastically. Then u haven't slid the PCB ribbon UNDER the tiny clip on the peg that holds it in place.

I think so, almost completely sure. I just looked at a teardown of the v2 ps4 controller, link: ruclips.net/video/nK3Ez60gDq4/видео.html and it looks identical to the a3 so yeah. I would open it up though first to make sure.
My question is for the ribbon circuit board, what did u pick? Because on Amazon and others websites, it shows something with JDS with numbers, and some are for the gen 1 controller and some are for gen 2, so since I have gen 2 controller what would recommend?
U can pick anything from there its all the same but i recommend u use the j 40 so it would be easier to put on your controller

Use a screw driver, and hold it with a tissue and try really hard to unscrew, if you cant ask someone else to help you. If your square button is not working, its most likely a bad ribbon circuit board which you have to replace, like i showed in the video

@@-arod-7635 it could be the ribbon circuit board is damaged, so try this video and replace the ribbon circuit board and it should work again

every time i’m on games such as fortnite, when i press L3 it switches my guns and i have L3 set to crouch any help to fix this?
Try and reset custom controls and redo them and see if that fixes it

Is this for the old ps4 or pro?
It works for all ps4 controllers, just make sure you order the matching ribbon circuit board from ebay. You will know your ordering the right one if they are the same shape/layout. If you need anything else, just leave another comment, thanks for watching!
@@lanternnnnn well if you have a certain model controller opening it like he did at the beginning will pop off one of your trigger buttons like I did :( no worries tho it just pops back in place :D

Sounds like you might of damaged a ribbon cable or scuffed the board when installing.

@EN3ERP4O Download a computer program called DS4Windows from Jay2Kings and connect your controller to your computer by USB. Test all your buttons. From what you just described to me it sounds like your PlayStation button doesn't work. If it is the case then im afraid that you have to do exactly in this video or by a new controller.
