FAKE Shimano Chains // Watch Out for Counterfeits !!!

What models do you use?
Better Shimano chains have anti-corrosion coatings, and I don't have such problems. But I try to avoid wet conditions, and clean, and lubricate chain often.
A lot also depends on whether you ride in winter and were your roads were salted.

@@COOLBIKEyt 10s shimano deore . I do lubricate more often specially when im not riding my bike. Even i finish wash up my bike i do put lube on it.

@@julloys4t602 Try XT CN-HG95, it has at least some coating unlike Deore, maybe it will work better for you.

I got one that seems to be real but it hangs on the jockey wheels, like the inner links are too tight

Hi, that's interesting... what kind of derailleur do you have and are the jockey wheels original?

@@COOLBIKEyt It's a new r7000 derailleur. That's why I was so confused at first. I've certainly been known to mix and match parts but not in this case.

@@COOLBIKEyt I've compared the inner width of the links with other 11sp Shimano chains I have and it's narrower. Granted the other chains have some wear but I don't think this dimension would change. They did a a good job hiding the fakeness on this one, but it's clear to me now it's fake. I have the LBS ordering one.

@@cliffmcleroy8168 Inner dimension have to be same in all 11s chains...so unfortunately there is something wrong with it. Remember to buy from reliable stores.

Mine has QR code but everything about it is fake, like the curly G and the EV is not connected, and the split link is in the with the chain not separate, I'm returning it.
