i can see that fruit being really usefull to someone like Dr. Vegapunk, i mean instead of having to either build robots and program them right or explaining to an assistant what he wants them to do he just turns into a jacket and he uses someone that's really strong to do what he wants to be done, if it works for other devilfruit users i can see it being a REALLY OP fruit for scientists like him (just imagine all the different experiments he could do using other peoples DF's as himself) or for kings/rules or generals that command a lot of different (loyal) people/fruit users.

Depends. Shirahoshi is not a weapon, so she can't turn into Poseidon. Pluton is a ship, so not a weapon, but Baby 5 could turn into the weapon, if it's like a giant canon or laser or something, that makes Pluton that powerfull. And with Uranus it is a wild guess.

7 sub-classes of Paramecia
1) Alchemist - Body is changed into a different material that isn't permeable. (Luffy, Jozu) [rubber, diamond]
2) Caster - Gives the ability to control some external force. (Fujitora, Kidd, Linlin, WB, Law) [gravity, magnetism, souls, shockwaves, space]
3) Enhancer - Changes or alters ones body without changing what they physically are
(material wise, can change the shape or form of user). (Alvida, Ms. Valentine) [makes self slick, changes own weight]
4) Mancer/ Bender - Can control a Substance or item. (Doflamingo, Perospero) [strings, candy]
5) Manipulator - Can manipulate opponents or what they are in some way. ( Hancock, Hawkins) [turn to stone, voodoo binding]
6) Rune Master - Gives abilities that can only effect a specific targeted area, self or other. (Kuma, Vander Decken, Gladius) [Paw, touch to aim, expands specific areas]
7) Summoner/ creator - Summons objects, spirits, souls, etc. ( Perona, Robin) [souls, self limbs]
Oda most likely made paramecia to simplify the power categories. as seen in series like hunter hunter complicating power categories can get annoying, or hard to remember at times.
But I did find what are essentially the 7 types of Paramecia if your interested. keep in mind some fruits kind of border on multiple categories, and yes their primarily named after mage classes.
so far I've yet to find a character that cant be categorized with these

I think I can explain the Hobby-Hobby Fruit's power.
Transformation- A toymaker (hobby) creates something from something else (toy train from wood).
Memory Wipe- Like an abandoned childhood toy.
Eternal youth- Toys and kids.
Contract- A hobbyist creates an object for a purpose.
Kelly Funk's awakening makes him an even bigger jacket!

What if his awakening allowed him to turn others into jackets with no free will, put them on, and gain their abilities while controlling their minds? An opposite of his original ability.
Or the ability to turn into a jacket, have someone put him on, but then turn into a jacket again. Allowing him to continuously stack powers of everyone who puts on the master jacket until he reaches some unstated limit.
He'll be a closet full of jackets allowing multiple possessions

24:18 I noticed from the first time Luffy met Bellamy that he was really intrigued by the way he used the springs. After seeing Gear Fourth, it's more like Bellamy helped inspire him.
You could even argue that when Luffy made gear second he was trying to replicate springs and ended up with gear second

Sugar's DF kind of makes sense to me because people actually have forgotten about their favorite toys that they have had in the past. Now instead of remembering about that toy you had in a couple of days, weeks, months, or years, you forget about it entirely. When Sugar fainted thanks to our lord and savior +Usopp+, people than started remembering about that missing person. Almost like recollecting memories you have had with your favorite toy. For me it's like when I remembered after {13 years} about a specific Power Ranger toy, I started tearing up because of all the fond memories I use to have with it. Of Course losing the memory of a toy is less important than losing the memory of someone so close to you. Which makes it even sadder, you basically forgot about someone you loved as if they were a toy.
About the eternal youth part though. If the fruit made you just transform into a child it would make more sense since that would be around the time that most people played with toys. It would fit the whole theme even more of playing with toys {Controlling them} as a kid. However if she just ate it around 8 years old and stayed that way, fuck that would be just bad luck if that were the case. Shit I would not like to stay 8 until I die lol.
Damn, the clip that rolled through my head after finding out about Sugar was when Flapjack told that laughing kid that he needs to grow up. Then the fucker said "Grow up? I'm 38 years old!".
I also think that a theme of her fruit is "playing with your toys forever" , the eternal youth, and nobody remembers the toys, so nobody would take them away.

I personally think she needs to read a basic blueprint design for her to transform into said weapons.
Maybe thats like an awakening... she broadens the range of what she transform into. Like not just weapons, anything she has blueprints to!
NORO NORO!!! Admit it, being able to bring things to a dead halt for 30 seconds is pretty broken. Even someone of a moderate strength like Usopp would be pretty threatening if they had Foxy's power, especially if they were smart and creative about it (and were careful of mirrors).
Give zoro that power . He would just have to hit the enemy once with the noro noro beam and then he can take 30sec to turn admirals into minced meat.

Advantages
Person:1 is not spotted at all
Person:2 can deactivate this ability at any time and person one can surprise attack anyone really coming out of nowhere
Conclusion
You have to be creative to use this fruit well
Cons: Thats only applicable if you know a powerful person. If you are a random civilian with no training. You're basically screwed
Disadvantages:
When you become a jacket you’re completely useless. You can’t move while being a jacket.

Honestly, my favorite fruit based purely on potential alone is our good old Foxy pirate captain's fruit itself, the Noro Noro no Mi.
Now, granted, Foxy himself is clever, beyond clever, and he uses the fruit extremely well as is...but the scary part here is to consider that this fruit has unlimited potential, only limited by its user (like most great weapons).
See...the fruit has only three true counters...either extreme speed to dodge at point blank range...extreme sense / ability / readings, able to sense when he's going to use the beam...or emperor's haki to brush it off like pesky gusts of wind. However...without any of these three things, you have a fruit that, in Foxy's hands at the VERY MINIMUM can probably take down all of the captains at Marineford (Captains being high ranking, but in Marineford, they were pretty much the lowest ranked marine soldier there).
Now, imagine...a different user, same fruit...you don't need much. If the user had Haki of all things, imagine what his Noro Noro beams would turn into...they'd be able to withstand and slow down emperor freaking haki, or at least the parts of the body that aren't covered in haki at the very least. If the user had Shave/Soru (honestly don't care what you call it...light speed movement, essentially), they could get past people who were just as fast, or even get past those who were able to predict him earlier. We see Foxy use the ability to essentially be clever and caniving, but he himself doesn't deal much of the finishing touches or attacks, he leaves his ability to do the talking and the arena around him and projectiles to finish off the opponent. Imagine a user who wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty and just wale on his opponent in a similar fashion to Dio freaking Brando...just punch the ever loving crap out of your opponent until time resumes for them, and they go FLYING because of momentum.
Potential wise, this fruit has literally UNLIMITED potential in my opinion, practically zero true counters if the user were stronger, or if Foxy got off his arse and got Haki like the rest of the current roster (I don't care if it's a stupid pun, practically everybody has it). I honestly think that it could have been the deadliest devil fruit in all of One piece.

I have always loved the idea that if perona had her physical body in blueno's air door dimension, she would become unkillable and potentially win wars herself if they take damage from that exploding ghost.

That would be super handy, as long as you could control the slippery-ness... imagine you couldn’t even feel anything, your just walking and suddenly a poop falls out. losing memory make sense beacuse its a toy, people forget about their toys when they grow older, and when sugar turns a human to a toy the "toys" family, friends etc, in thier subconscious will think that their friend is a toy and thus forgeting about them.

The relationship between the Ito-Ito no Mi and the Stitch Stitch Fruit seems to be another example of what I like to call the Property of Devil Fruit Hierarchy. Much like the Magma Magma Fruit and the Mera Mera no Mi. Or the Chilly Chilly and Monet's. Some Devil Fruits for some reason seem to be similar to others but superior or inferior, as you yourself have noticed. There always seems to be the ability to override the inferior one, too. Akainu was able to hit Ace without Busoshoku Haki. Presumably, the same would be true of Aokiji and Monet. Possibly Doffy would be able to undo Leo's stitches. Or some other override.
Maybe there are double the amount of fruits in the world and they just change depending on the person. Like the spring-spring is similar to the gum-gum but they changed to fit the character of the eater?

I can't help but think you're trying to invoke the Periodic table despite the classical elements being a commonly utilized concept in fantastical fiction.
I'm not chemist, but fire isn't an element anymore than light unless we're getting into more general elements of the varieties you see in Wu Xing or classical Greek elements. Scientific elements are one of the common thoughts, sure, but element at its core could almost go into absurdity, like Adventure Time with Candy, Slime, Ice and Fire
We're talking about what constitutes an element in a work of fantastical literature that sets itself in a world where clouds can be dense enough to support the weight of a human, a species of amphibious humanoids can reproduce in a way that defies everything we know about evolution, the moon can be traveled to in an airship, and people can make solid stone blow up by infusing weapons with pure awesomeness and willpower. What we know of physics and chemistry in our world only tells us so much about the world One Piece takes place in and we REALLY shouldn't be comparing them too closely. As far as we know, yeah: fire is an element in the One Piece world. This is the point where you either suspend your disbelief or you let your disbelief get in the way of enjoying the work. Take your pick.
I'm just going to throw this out here before I finish the video:
I think Sugar's Devil Fruit is a take on the Enchantress from Beauty & The Beast. I was watching it the other day and the detail that the Enchantress was not only able to turn the people living in the castle into living furniture, but she was able to erase any memory of those affected by her curse from the minds of people living outside the castle. Like when Mr. Potts couldn't remember "something important" until the curse was lifted, allowing Mrs. Potts and Chip to see him again and his memories to return. It also fits because the Enchantress wasn't what she appeared to be (Sugar's youthful appearance) and she gives the victims an item to activate her curse (rose = candy). Just an idea that made the most sense to me.
That makes sense, Oda does like to base things off pop culture.
About Sugar: maybe people forgot about those which were changed because they stopped beying people?
It depends on users imagination, so I think for example someone with huge one who ate Bara Bara no Mi would be able to affect other people and not only himself? (like chopping of their body parts but not killing them: hey I'm taking your head as hostage!! but it would be similar to Laws ability kinda)
It's hard if we don't know the exact rules but that's the fun about it =)

Maybe Luffy's Awakening would be control over how his body stretches.
Usually he has to push his arm to extend, but what if he could just stretch and grow at will. No need to inhale or blow in his arm to grow, just have him do it on his own. If he trains it hard enough he could do it really fast as well. Image a and Instand Fusen, or an Instant Pistol. Maybe when he goes Gear 2 he can move it EVEN FASTER and do what he does in Gear 4 and air walk.
this is what i think as well....like as a last ditch effort when an enemy has him beat and is holding him up by the throat his nose will just shoot out and slam through the enemies face or something...or use his hair to strangle people....imagine his fingers and toes going nuts throughout a huge battle while he stays five hundred feet away all why covered in haki....thats just chaos

@@johneurim.vargas6751 This would be great. Currently, inflating himself just makes his limbs become more muscular, or giant balls with hands. Makes sense because they're inflated. Controling the shape of the gum itself would allow him to shape his body on literally any shape. As silly as making his arms into rubber ducks, and as deadly as growing actual multiple arms out of stretched gum. Or turning his arms into wings. Or his legs into hammers.

If im not mistaken, valentine could change anywhere from 0.1 kilos to 1000 kilos, and the other had the same restriction, except with tonnes (or tons, forget which). Either way, they couldn't directly float up, but it was to a small enough weight that a simple jump of 1-2 feet normally would put them 30+ feet up, let alone an actual jump for distance/ height

Also has fruits that depend on the feeling of the target, like Hancock' power (the target must have dirty thoughts), Perona's power (it cannot affect anyone who is originally pessimistic about themselves) and Linlin's power (the target must be afraid of her)
But in all three cases this power is just one aspect of the devil fruit: Hancock can also kick someone and the part she hit turns to stone; Perona can also blow ghosts up; and Linlin can collect souls from willing people as well, as with the inhabitants of Totto Land.

Hey Tekking do you think youll ever do a "Why you should get into One Piece" video? Theres just so much thats great about the show that I cant explain it well to friends, itd be cool to have a video to link them to to explain it ;)
I honestly have a hard time getting people into One Piece, it's a huge daunting task. the One Piece anime would really benefit from a Z Kai treatment to cut the fat.(Long Ring Long Land, )
Better yet a HunterxHunter treatment. A full on reboot with new animation and cut fat.
Toei is WAY too lazy for something like that.
I think most people just dont want to watch such a long anime. At least thats the answer i get the most when i try to convince friends to start watching/reading it.
Usually ill explain to them that thats actually a positive feature, since if you get hooked you wont run out of stuff to watch for some time. Also its not like one piece starts after chapter 500+, its thrilling from the beginning so focusing on the length doesnt make any sense.
A great reaction i saw from Team Four Star, who hadn't watched or read one piece before, was there reactions to some of the powers when playing one of the games. showing/ explaining those powers might work.
Honestly it depends entirely on the person your showing, but showing a badass fight or two might be the best way, such as sabody archipelago, there is no such thing as spoiling content if they'll never watch it anyway.
Also keep in mind NEVER over hype a series, i've been detoured from many series for months/ years because i don't by into over-hype, and many don't these days, as movies and games have ruined the meaning of hype. I even ignored one punch man for like a year 'cause of the disbelief in it being the greatest of all time. no one wants to be told your cool thing is better than theirs.
Recaps of early arcs may help as well/ make sure they skip filler if the watch instead of read it, though reading is to be recommended due to the massive backlog.
hell you can start them off later in the story as well. it doesn't need to begin in the east blue.

I don't think they're technically indestructible. If I recall correctly, while his barrier didn't actually break, it did crack a bunch while Cavendish (as Hakuba) was attacking it. So clearly it can break, if it can crack.

Most broken devil fruit power would be a logia type that allows you to turn into water and summon water as well.

Nope, It's specified that it HAS to be Sea Water to specifically affect a fruit user. Evidence being that Luffy and other Paramecias are able to drink water still and aren't directly weakened by rain. If all water would work, fruit users wouldn't be able to drink water without being weakened.

I think you misunderstood the inability of fruit users to swim with weakening them. Only Sea water weakens them, regular water only makes them sink not weaken.

Fujitora’s devil fruit power is my favorite paramecia ability. Which speaking of Fujitora I really love how Oda gave love to paramecia users because the admirals were all logos users and here comes Fujitora with the gravity powers and I feel like that’s one of the most underrated powers in One piece plus Fujitora as a character is really interesting as well

so if im not mistaken Oda stated that a certain scientist will explain the workings of devil fruits. what if that scientist is judge, him and vegapunk did discover the lineage factor together and he explains it to the strawhats as sort of a "thank you" for saving them. he may have been able to apply abilities given by devil fruits to his children without the actual fruits, like how niji can straight up generate electricity. when tekking mentioned that it really made me realize that judge is still a renowned scientist with vast knowledge. no way we're gonna pass up that opportunity during his arc. vegapunk's purpose may be explaining how he gets weapons to have the abilities of devil fruits. judge explains how to apply it to people and vegapunk explain how to apply it to things and objects.

I like to think of the hobi hobi no mi as more of a fruit that focuses on 'the life of a child' and not just 'toys' in general. That would explain why Sugar had eternal youth. My guess is that it represents a child that does not want to grow up (like Peter Pan).
Another possibility could be when everyone else forgets their family members that turn into toys, it is because toys stay the way they are while everyone else moves on. Toys are eternal while everyone else grows and dies. Most toys are usually forgotten even before the death of the human, and a lot of times given to some other kid who will forget them as well along with their families.
The contract thing in this context would make sense, because it is basically what a child's toy is for. They are puppeteered by children everytime they are played with. So when sugar contracts with a toy, she is playing with it as if she were controlling everything with her hands and imagination. It's basically just playtime.
Bone Fruit would be cool. I know that kind of exists already, but I'm talking about the full manipulation of all bones in anyone. He could rip bones out of a body, control people by moving their bones against their will, turn bones into weapons. For some reason whenever I picture Luffy awakening his devil fruit I always picture it extending to the Thousand Sunny, and allowing them to coop de burst into the air and bounce like rubber on impact, rather then coming crashing down.

I always fancied the theory that devil fruits don´t give certain powers, but create a power scheme centred around a certain theme/word and the final powers of the person are defined by how they believe it to work. That would also be the reason why they can gain new abilities and get stronger with training. They gain a better understanding of how their scheme works. There are examples of Devil Fruit users getting stronger and gaining abilities. Mainly Luffy. He started out with the usual understanding of rubber, stretching, and then developed other powers based on the concept of rubber.

I like your dividing Paramecia into 3 and I do the same. I view it like this: {A} It lets you emit and control a substance that you emit, like Mr. 3 the Warden, and the Slime dude, but it doesn't let them control it. Like Ace could control fire even if he didn't create it, the Warden couldn't control poison he didn't emit (though he could be immune to poison as consuming it instantly makes it a part of him) {B} It makes your body the substance, like Luffy and Flamingo. Their bodies are unique, and resist things or are more susceptible to things depending on the type, whereas Magellan was effected by any damage type. Then there's {C} The catch-alls, which are like Robin, who have very specific abilities, it doesn't effect their bodies (Robin can sprout limbs from her body, or conjure duplicates of her limbs, but her limbs are still her's and limited.) and the specifications make them strong, they also limit them usually to a major extent

The jacket jacket no mi is boss. You forget it's greatest trait. *It adds their strengths together.* A buff AF guy with that fruit would be awesome as a secret support crew member. Cuz the fruit user doesn't have to have control, they get to choose. So the captain or whoever can be struggling in a fight and suddenly has deeper stamina reserves, increased strength, more durability. Also since the user really effects how a fruit is used, it might be able to combine haki, and other skills (like reflex timing).
I'm not saying it's the fruit you wanna eat, I'm saying it's the fruit you want your bro to eat. best support fruit.
Also what if one of them (the jacket or it's wearer) is a skilled swordsmen while the other a skilled hand-to-hand fighter. The swordsmen has control until he loses his weapon then suddenly they switch control and the enemy is not ready for that. Plus even if they were both swordsmen, they could use different styles and switch on a dime, on top of have combine physical abilities, it's actually a really really good fruit.

I think if it it could affect people like Robin's or Doflamingo's fruit it'd be OP. Essentially blowing people up if they don't have haki. You can use it to jump high from the explosive force or float on a bubble. Block. CC. increase damage. So many things. Its just that Oda didn't write it in.

I think she could do the Pacifista's lazer. A Pacifista isn't a weapon, it's a weapon's platform. Like how a jet isn't a weapon until it has missiles attached to it, or a truck isn't a weapon until a gun is mounted to it.

Moria physically separated the shadows completely this is demonstrated by shadow luffy using a past dead master swordsman shadow to power himself up. It didn't matter if they died after. In fact it was preferable so that the will of that shadow's previous owner was severed 100%.
It was never stated that the swordmaster died. And the owners of the shadows have to stay alive. Otherwise moria would just kill them after he harvested their shadow. Why else would they bring the monster trio back to the sunny. They have to keep them alive, but strong people are too much of a hassle to keep on the island.
