I grew up with horses as a teenager but then moved away and that was the end of that for me. I’m almost 72 now and watching you both fills my heart with such joy and memories I had almost forgotten. This trip to the races made me laugh and really lifted my spirits. I hope you both stay as humble and loving forever no matter what paths you take. Sam, you are an exception man taking Tom under your wing. I wish you both all the happiness you both give your audience ten fold! ❤

It was truly wonderful to see you and Tom in a relaxed and casual situation...everything from the hotel to steam train and then all the activities at the races. This is the kind of time away you and Tom both needed..and it was so obvious how much Tom has grown and matured with you. Maybe it was the "bubbly" that helped Tom really open up! This feels like such a very U.K. experience (I’ve never been) but like the whole sharp dressed, steam train, horse race-strikes me as a very a British experience. Love it!! Goals for someday to visit 👍
Are you in the USA? Derby Day weekend. Oaks for the fillies on Friday and the famed Kentucky Derby on the first Saturday in May is world famous like Ascot--though the Derby is 250+ years running, and Ascot grandstands, though built in the early 1700s, Royal Ascot didn't start until 1911 so the Derby is older. However, the Royal family attend, and it is a week long vs 2 days and dress codes there are extremely strict with hard rules especially based on the poshness level of enclosure you are in and hats or fascinators aren't as big or competitive as it is at the Derby. Breeders Cup Championships are also very dressy and have the Longines Best Dressed competition for ladies and in the past decade also the men.

This video was best one yet!!! My mom was British but she raised us in America so we only went to England every few years. First, both of you look very handsome in the clothes, Tom , that hat & blazer looked really good on you. Also, I haven’t had sausages and beans since I was a teenager so that brought happy memories to me!!! You can’t drink tea without milk!! Also, my grandma would’ve been very proud that you were drinking tea from a cup and saucer. She would say it’s not a proper cup of tea in a mug!! Thank you for the memories ❤
Good morning to our Sunshine boys! Looks like you guys had a great time! Have never attended a horse race on turf, but have seen them run on dirt at our State Fair, and even attended a few trotting harnness races when I visited a friend who was a foreign exchange student from Finland when I was a lot younger. Watched several races with the actual Finnish trotting horses, they are a stockier breed of horse, and also saw some of their own lighter boned trotting horses race. Had a lovely time too. Sam, like you I rarely win anything whether betting on a horse race, playing with lottery tickets or entering a contest. I actually won a book by a favorite author via a FB contest, that was exciting and the author signed her book to. Once on a cruise with my grandmother I actually won a game of Bingo! 🥰❤🥰 On another note my Dad has now been home for 12 days aince his quadruple heart bypass surgery. He is doing well, has had first 2 visits from in home PT, 2nd visit they gave him a list of 4 low impact exercises to build his strength back up. Our very small family has a lot to be greatful this for this Thanksgiving and Christmas season as we could have lost my Dad at least 4 times from first heart attack to his double bypass surgery's after complications developed after the first surgery. All the medical personnel from first resresponders to ER and heart surgeon and nurses at hospital were fantastic with my Dad. God is good as my mothet and grandmother always say/said. Wishing Sam, Tom, their family/friends and all the followeres on this page a very Happy Holiday season! ❤🥰❤🥰🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

That was a fun day~ The race track is different than the ones I have been to in the US. Mostly Sulkey, or Harness Races near me and the Derby in Kentucky.

That was a fun day~ The race track is different than the ones I have been to in the US. Mostly Sulkey, or Harness Races near me and the Derby in Kentucky.
