Hey Jason, hope your doing great. Beautiful finish !!! I've been painting for a little over 25 years and the headaches come when someone else has already worked on the project and the color doesn't match. And then running into issues with the customer that they don't like it,,,,ufffff ... Thanks Jason for being you and sharing how it all started and where you are now. Thanks for being so transparent. It would be great content for anyone wanting to start in the paint industry. I never went to paint school and no internet. I started airbrushing in Jr High school and for the love of paint and cars I jumped from airbrushing to painting my very first truck which was my dads. And from there it all took off for me. Now with the interwebs I have learned so much more from people like you and others in the trade. Once again, thank you and keep up the great work. Blessings
Thank you, hope your well dealing with previous work quite often causes issues That great you went from airbrushing to painting cars, both of those skills go hand in hand and not many that do both, it must be very rewarding being able to do both, I'm useless at anything artistic Thank you so much for the comment God bless 🙏
@@TheHumblePaintSprayer333 Yeah both skills go hand in hand, but airbrush seemed to have vanished haha. I do use my airbrush once in a while but for a very small paint fix, no more art work. Doing everything from prepping to painting is enough for me. What do you mean your useless at anything artistic? I see art in all your finishes!!! You and Reece (Hope I didn't butcher his name) you two are one of the best dynamic duo in the auto paint trade. Our Lord has blessed you with gifts and I thank the Lord for you and sharing those gifts with others. Matthew 5:16 "Let your light shine before others that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven." Blessings
Lovely job Jason, stunning finish. I think I remember the Gentleman with that Porsche, when I came up to collect mine ? Really looking forward to the back story, it will be interesting to see how it all started for you. Take care mate. Cheers Vince.
Yeah its happened a couple of times now I'm not sure why, i turn the camera back on and i say its corrupt and have to wipe it for it to work Many thanks 🙏
Flawless job J looks beautiful a really lovely colour 👌 must be a real headache matching those colours especially when someone else has had a go before you . Great job mate. 👍
Hi Jason, what a beautiful finish you got on the Porsche mate it's simply stunning, I love that colour as well but I can't find it under Porsche in my system all I can find doing a wildcard search is a Subaru colour with the code 21J Zenith Blue but it looks very pale compared to this one🤔 so is this a true Porsche colour mate but don't worry if you can't remember👍 I like the idea of the different format for your videos Jason it could be very interesting to see what goes on in your shop on a typical day, I don't think having s bit of swearing will be a problem providing it's not to rich as I've seen a lot of videos on here with plenty of F's going on🙉 all you can do it try it mate👌🙏👍
Yeah its a Porsche colour it was only out for a year or so, well thats what it says on my system, the code is 3AW I will give it a go and see what happens cheers mate 👍
Hi Jason Really appreciate the time you take to make these videos for everyone. Yet another perfect paint job. Really looking forward to your pulling tower video and there’s nothing wrong with a bit of f…..g swearing ing mate 😂. Cheers 👍.
Thanks, it was a hard one it looks blue but has a really red/purple side tone or flop, nice colour tho it wasn't out for very long so i don't think the formula has had much attention on the system as it didn't even match the door shuts on original paint
Did an insignia back bumper 2wks ago mixed to the code metallics were bang on shade was way out had to take the filler flap back to the paint supplier and get it scanned your spot on with older cars bud paint mixed to the manufacturers code never matches with a scan and a tweak to the formula got it bang on , great vid great finish sir 👏👏
Nightmare, your right you have to get the effect right first and go from there This wasn't out for very long only on model, only about a year or so, so i don't think the formula has had much attention on the system as it didn't even match the door shuts on original paint, if its not a common colour the paint companies don't hear of any issues from the user so it doesn't get any reformulations Many thanks 🙏
Good stuff, have you ever tried the Sata HVLP set up for clear coat? I tried this the other week and actually got better results than the RP which I couldn’t believe 😂
Cheers, yeah up until my Satajet 4000 i was using HVLP for both water and clear its works fine just a bit more consumption on air and materials on HVLP
You know something I have never seen for those who are curious mate, a video close up of how the lacquer/basecoat is actually laying out on the panel - like a spray gun view. People find it hard to understand when I tell them medium wet / wet coat, just a thought if you could work out how to get such footage I reckon that would be golden for those learning. Short of having them stood beside you there really isnt a great visual guide available.
Great idea that, need like a spray gun cam or maybe on the wrist. Using a camera on a stand would get in the way and a bit risky incase it got knocked on to the job

Nice job Jason - colour sounded a nightmare though, but at least you cracked it as usual, (looks a bit like Rover Moonraker Blue).

Hi Jason. I cant wait to see the raw footage.😂. Promise no editing😂. The air has turned blue many a time in the back of my van 😂😂
Cheers Gary, i will try to hold it back a bit 😂 I'm gonna try to forget the camera is on
👌🏻
When can we expect a video about the Mipa CC 14 Thix lacquer? As always, the work is of the highest quality. Best regards.
Should be next weekend 👍
