Danny Peters is one of the better drummers of the style. He doesn't miss a beat, and hits hard. It seems that the Mudhoney people were able to mic his drums well live, also. All the live footage sounds terrific.
This is very good quality to say it's 24 years old!
Oh my gosh!!! now i see where Kurt got another one of his major influences this is like watching Kurt in 1993 playing Rape Me, yeah obviously mostly 'cause Need came out first and we all know Nirvana and Kurt mainly admired Mudhoney and Mark
lol… I saw Nirvana support Mudhoney… I barely registered them. As with many supports. Mudhoney were killer 3/4 years before… Nevermind. The gigs were brilliant. Nirvana came of age… in time. Saw them again as Nevermind blew up - what happened after was a terrible shame as they were a great seasoned band by then…
The intro sounds similar to Rape me,I quess Kurt's inspiration was from Mudhoney \m/
There's no doubt that Mark Arm and Mudhoney had a huge influence on Cobain
Kurts chord progressions as a whole are very similar to all of this album

kurt idolatraba a mark y la verdad es que se nota mucho. se basó mucho en su look, estilo musical, actitud. kurt fue la mezcla de buzz, arm, lennon, cornell, pixies y tad doyle.
Saw them 4th October in Newcastle, the haven't lost it...

On November 13th, !K7 Records will release Mudhoney: Live In Berlin, 1988 on DVD. The footage, filmed by a professional camera crew at 1988’s Berlin Independent Days festival and only recently rediscovered, captures the Seattle Grunge pioneers’ first ever performance on foreign soil. Playing as representatives of Sub Pop Records to a crowd of curious punters, critics and members of Europe’s independent music community, the show was also the first Grunge gig in Europe.
Are they still playing? If they are, I wanna go to their show ^_^

The Melvins, Mudhoney, John Lennon, Leadbelly were all MAJOR influences on Kurt.....

@dogrumiers need was released in 1988, when nirvana were still playing frat parties in aberdeen. mudhoney and tad taught kurt how to write! Not knocking nirvana, of course mudhoney and tad were a big influence to them.

Na verdade o mudhoney ja tava no rolê bem antes do nirvana aparecer na area, uma das primeiras da sub pop, tirando q o mark arm foi um dos fundadores do green river q é a basicamente a primeira banda grunge formada em 84

Nirvana, and Kurt,were the ones who started with grunge,and it's not logical to say "way more original"..they aren't, special Mudhoney, AIC are more original than Mudhoney, Nirvana also...They even use "Kurt's rif"..
If you like grunge, you should not say anything bad abouth Nirvavna.
And you should know that Grunge died together with Kurt.and every Seattle grunge band stoped playing
big grunge 4:pearl jam, soundground, aic and nirvana(the biggest)

i hope you’re trolling because this came out before nirvana even got famous and mark arm, the singer in mudhoney, helped popularize grunge when he was in the band green river which then broke up and became mudhoney and pearl jam.
Kurt roadied for the Melvin's, mudhoney already had their big muff ep out, before Kurt had love.buzz released. In interview he said musical influences , Beatles black Sabbath Melvin's and mudhoney.
As for Alice in chains they were glam metal band before going grunge, Soundgarden was more punk and grunge than nirvana ever were, just check out crocodile cafe show 1986.
