    This is a lesson on How to play Into The Void by Black Sabbath. Awesome song with that heavy intro, killer main riff and brutal breaks. The Solo at the end just adds "icing on the cake". The song is in C# tuning!

      @Eli Carter No way! He's good but Marty is like campfire guitar 101. He may be an expert, but his lessons are intermediate at best, he makes a ton of shortcuts and approximations.

    The most underrated yet one of, if not the best, songs in heavy metal of all time. This riff drives me in the gym, at work, in my garage when working on my Harley...every occasion it fits right in. Iommi is the godfather of heavy metal bar none

    • @smelltheglove2038
      @smelltheglove2038 2 года назад +3

      Not underrated at all.

    • @MrBikboi
      @MrBikboi Год назад +1

      @@smelltheglove2038 I'd argue that it seriously is

    • @smelltheglove2038
      @smelltheglove2038 Год назад +1

      @@MrBikboi it absolutely is not. The opening riff is one of the most highly rated riffs of all time and regularly tops lists as “the best”. The song always comes up in interviews with modern bands as one of their favorite songs and most influential. It was probably the first metal song to be played in C# tuning which is a very common tuning now. Which all means nothing when you consider that it’s one of the most loved songs played by the MOST influential metal band of all time. If you think this song is underrated you know absolutely nothing about the metal scene.

    Fantastic solos...nobody needs a shredder. One of the best songs ever! I tried to play with the settings to get a nice heavy sound and foud out that the best sound is when I don´t touch anything :-) All you need is a Marshall+overdrive+little delay+Gibson+downtune and you got it!

    Again.. This guy knows and teaches the CORRECT way to play BS songs. Seriously, I've watched a few others and they sound NOTHING like the recording or ANY live performances.
    One dude was even playing it with all open scale shapes.
    And people.. Its C#...not C.
    Gyod. Smh. No disrespect to these other guys but if u want to learn to properly play Sabbath songs this guy @Guitar force is your man.

    I used to be able to play almost every Sabbath song (rhythm only) from a tab book...years ago. I'm just coming back to the guitar after several years, and thanks to your video I'm actually beginning to also play lead. It's all coming back to me! I love those heavy Tony Iommi riffs with that distortion! That was one of the reasons I bought a Revv G4 pedal. Sounds awesome. Thanks!!! PS, and to think how awesome Iommi plays despite missing the tips of 2 fretting fingers....talk about inspiration!

    I do consider myself a great guitarist, however I do have trouble learning new music from tabs thanks to timing etc. Tony in particular is VERY particular about his timing. Obviously, he can have the exact same riff but played with very different note timings can make it a totally different riff. In playing along with you I'm learning these riffs insanely fast. Thank you good sir :D

Life has finally slowed down for me enough to really take this seriously and thanks to you this is hopefully gonna be the first song I learn in its entirety. Awesome lesson and fantastic spot on tone mate. Btw did anyone else hear Brett Hart's theme at the beginning of the first solo or was it just me lmao?

    An easy way to tune to C# is to tune your open A string to the F# or the second fret of your low E string. Then tune the rest of your guitar around that.
