    Oh man... This mama who lost her little boy made me cry. I am the daughter born 8 months after her parents lost a toddler in a hard way. I thank God they kept putting one foot in front of the other for the rest of us. And I recognize that the loss made them different from what they were before. But their best was enough. Prayers for this young family to have peace after loss.

    I know I know. Don’t read the comments. But I am amazed (though not surprised) at Dr Delony’s kindness and compassion and human capacity for connection. I hope he feels the positive energy in his life and with his family that he gives his audience.

    My heart goes out to Ann and any mother going through this.
    I can always find helpful advice in any of Dr. John's videos. I am the ride-or-die for a close friend, who lives in a different state, and is going through a separation. His advice to ask that friend in need "have you eaten today?" is so helpful. Sometimes we don't want to continue to talk and talk about whatever the issue is. Just a simple text to make sure that person has eaten or is sleeping, goes a long way.

      Whatever you do … record everything you can in writing. Communicate via email and text and take photos of your communications. Text and emails are legal. Also, do not make an agreement in email or text unless you are certain because that is legal. I’m not an attorney… but I used to do paralegal work for family law attorney. And many attorneys will give you a free consultation. Many will also require a hefty retainer… just be prepared.

    There is a phrase that could be used to help regain trust in your relationship: Trust, but verify. This is what you do on internationally to verify treaties. So can also be used to restore trust in your relationship. The trust is first, but you have to continue to verify that the person is not lying to you.

    It is hard to give up your drugs for a relationship when you have an addictive relationship w/ it. AND also, if someone is a drug user before they meet you them quitting drugs for you will certainly not last a lifetime and probably not even that long at all.

    John should ask the question "Are you safe to be honest too" to more women. In my experience women teach men to lie. Every girlfriend I've had taught me to lie to her. I'm not even talking about things like cheating, or anything that's normally considered a deal breaker, but anytime I told her something she didn't like she'd withdraw her affection. That told me if I wanted her affection I had to keep things from her.

    • @KeraJaay
      @KeraJaay 2 года назад +8

      @@JerseyDevilJerseyGirl I don’t see how it’s toxic. If anything the whole cycle is. He does things that she doesn’t like which makes her upset and thus withdrawing affection. Nobody wants to show affection when they’ve been led to feel disrespected, or hurt. Him hiding things from her instead of not doing the things that make her upset proves he’s lying and hiding things from her and they shouldn’t be together if there is no honesty.

There were tests outside of the normal range for my baby girl and we went through the craziest form of treatment i've ever heard of, "Therapeutic Hypothermia for Neonatal Hypoxic-ischemic Encephalopathy". Praise the Lord there is no long term affects, so I can't totally relate to your situation. I can't imagine the heartbreak you have gone through. I pray for your upcoming blessing!

    If the second caller checks the comments, as a state employee you, you probably qualify for Public Student Loan Forgiveness, and could get credit toward forgiveness even if you haven't been on an income-driven repayment plan up to now. You need to apply for PSLF, get the maximum amount of qualifying payments toward your forgiveness, and that balance could be gone in not more than 10 years. And because you'd be on an income-driven repayment plan you wouldn't have to overpay beyond your means while you wait. I know the Ramsey team will never recommend this but it is a legitimate program that has forgiven so much debt for public service workers in the last year alone. Check it out and make your own decision.

Not to mention if they don't have it they become angry people. I've never seen anyone financially broke over candy lmao but I do agree that's also really bad. Taking care of yourself is not just good for you but the people around you and lying is unacceptable
