I don’t know how many times I go back to your review of this bike just because of your enthusiasm. Just week ago I got GT version and still have 900 (on the market right now) and it is even better with quick shifter, cruise control , TFT and all the rest. Amazing bike. Had only 30 km on it but looking forward to 2 days road trip (1000km) later on today.
4 years later I thank you Cager for doing these reviews of the normal dude getting super excited trying beast bikes. Now on the used market this can be found for cheaper... Might be the good time to buy one!
My favourite RUclips reviewer, thanks for this dude. I love the details and your enthusiasm, and I always know I’ll learn something from your reviews as you seem to effortlessly find those little things that really matter.
Love your reviews, Cager! You capture the excitement of being on two wheels so well!! I’ve the 2015 version of the Tracer and still can’t wipe the smile off my face! Great bike! Actually there are soooo many great bikes these days that it’s seriously hard to chose. Triumph, Honda, BMW, etc... all have great bikes with different strong points. I wish I had one of each!!!!
Cheers for your brilliant reviews on the tracer. I ride a 2005 blade all year round and I’m looking for a sporty tourer for commuting and more. The good lady likes going pillion but isn’t keen on long distances on a blade. I was keen on a triple , possibly a Triumph speed. A mate suggested a Tracer so I’ve been looking at reviews. Your 2 reviews on the 2017 & 18 models have sold it to me big time. I want to keep the blade for track days so now just have to find a way to get the budget agreed by the “Ministry of home affairs “. Many thanks for an excellent review.
Thank you Mr. Cager. I am riding a Ninja 1000, but unfortunately I made that purchase decision using my ovaries & not my head. I have bionic knees & the riding angle on the Ninja wont allow me to ride for more than 30 minutes. I need something that won't give me nagging pain, worse than kids whining if we're there yet...but can still handle like it was made for me & put up a 0 to 60 time under 3.4 seconds. Can't wait till I can try this '19 Tracer for myself. Thanks again for helping me with narrowing down my choices!
I'm a GS LC rider and found it really good, love this triple, full of twin like torque but doesn't scream on the motorway just gurgles along at 90 mph. The package works out well with panniers pretty good value. Wish Yam would put a triple in the Tenera and give it a makeover, would steel GS riders if it was 150PS
Hey man, I'm really enjoying your way of testing and reviewing on motorcycles, it is like I started to enjoy not only some bike seeing for what is about, but enjoying you making those reviews! Great job man! Now, if I want to check on some bike review, first I look if there is review by "CagerOnTwoWheels", because I know I will enjoy... ;) Bravo Cager
I was waiting for your review of this bike, it took to long, so I bought it. Man, was that an amazing decision. I could not wait another two months for the GT version to come to my local dealer. So easy to ride, flicks easily, breaks are amazing, corners like a beast, I feel like I am always in the power band. The only downside is the maximum load capacity 180kg. Me + wife leaves us with less than 20kg of luggage and that is not enough. Everything else is exceptional.
Also would you make a comparison video, since you've experienced so many bikes, between MT-09 Tracer and Honda Nc 750 X, which I'm interested in, but can't decide which one suits me the most, also consider that until now I've ridden only supersport bikes, therefore I'm looking for the allround bike without being extreme on sitting posture or powerless enginewise? I'm 170cm tall and I'm looking for a bike to commute, go on a holiday with wife, or just go riding and having some fun. Please point fuel consumption, comfort, handling, weight ratio, breaking, maintenance, service costs, long term owning etc... Thanks
I took one out for a test ride from a dealer. The seat was uncomfortably hard after one hour. The signal switch is awkward while wearing gloves. You need to use premium gasoline high octane style. otherwise a great motorcycle.
Cager, What do you mean by, "It's a pirate Bike"? I remember you also said the same when you were reviewing the Versys 650. I been longing to ask you that. Please advise, What is a pirate? What kind of motorbike is a pirate bike? What is called a bike that's not "pirate bike"? Am a newbie in motorcycle evangelism.
@@CagerOnTwoWheels Can the lighting system be modified that both front lights can run low beam and high beam for better visibility and head on lighting?
Is the off-throttle to on snatchy and abrupt rather than smooth and progressive? That was the number one complaint with several years of the old one. Even 2017 wasn’t as smooth as hoped.
I ride the GT version, and with the panniers on mixed mountain roads and highways in Norway where I live, it does 4.3 to 100Km. So if you run it empty, over 410 km's. With some buffer I would plan to fuel every 350k's. If you run much highways, expect a bit more fuel consumption.
I would recommend you a Tiger 800. Super bike, powerful, confortable & stable at high speed, with a Speed Regulation for the long ride. You can easily do offroad with it. But don't me wrong, this new Yamaha Tracer looks very good too, specialy on roads. You should defenitely try these too bikes. I'm not saying anything on the Honda because i dont know anything !
Never ask such questions to the public opinion! You'll get a million opinions and come no further. Go and testride them yourself and the bike that is everything you need and want in a bike is yours. If there are still any doubts, you can go and ask real experts, but not some people you can't see, nore have the experience of what a guy with your body-measurements, taste or preferences needs. Because in the end you only get their personal, maybe even experienced (but he still won't know you) point of view. Do you see my point? By today all the *BIG* manufacturers (Triumph, BMW, KTM, Ducati and the four Japanese) do a good job. It is just up to you to decide what YOU like. Try to get your three favourite bikes for the possible longest time to test them and you will know, I am sure! @anybody who despies my opinion about who is a big one. Yes, I did exclude Aprilia, HD, etc. on purpose! Because I think, that they don't have the means, or maybe the skills, to build their bikes as good as Ducati ( or any other manufacturer on my list) does. But that is simply MY OPINION!!!

Sold the Tracer 700 bought the Raven Black Tracer 900 GT. One life, go for it Cager.

I bought a MT09 tracer 2018 because of your previous tracer video :) . Nice to see you're still enjoying the tracer 900.
Love your enthusiasm, honest reviews, Thanks
Another great review! I'm torn between the GT and Super Tenere.
Are you or did you buy one ? I have the 700 tracer and as much as I'm still loving my first bike .I do like this 900 beast
Yep I don't think I'll be getting one of these...not sure I'd survive!
Nice review Cager, I also watched your V-Strom 1000 review, which do you prefer for long rides?
Hi Cager... Good work as always...did you notice any high speed wobble on this one? How about build quality?

is that 180kg limit because of the power of the bike? if its suspejsion im sure making the suspension harder would fix that problem
@@leftvassis Definitely not the power. The GT has remote preload adjuster
Haven’t ridden one yet,but I have a feeling that’s all it will take.
Do the 2019 Tracer 900 GT!

Nice one cager taking one out on the 15th August test ride
I bought this bike today :) Im so happy😁
10 months later......still happy ? :)
nice video, and you live in a beautiful place
Slap a couple of TKC70 on there and I bet it will do fine on gravel since it is a bit higher.
13:42 you did my day again brother, thanks 😁🤣

Great video! Like the scenery... where do you live?
As always. A good and funny review!
Good braking....😁
Cager, quando fazes o Review da UM Renegade commando 125 de 2018?
I hope they have solved the speed wobble with the longest swingarm ( you know... so that it is not deadly dangerous anymore)
Thanks, nice video indeed! I love this bike too and, me neither, I can't afford it. I will go for a NC750X.
Would have lost it without ABS after that straight. Stay safe man.
Awesome review Cager might be my next bike :)
Great review! , thanks for sharing.
That test drive unit from MJ Paiva had quick shifter. I know because I was the 2nd person to test it :)
What the fuck dude i was just watching Tracer 700 videos (including yours) because i'm in the market for an adventure/commuter bike!
Is the off-throttle to on snatchy and abrupt rather than smooth and progressive? That was the number one complaint with several years of the old one. Even 2017 wasn’t as smooth as hoped.
I guess you could say the only flaw of this bike is that you need money to get it, eh? 😛
Nice review!
Now test Ride a Yamaha Niken 3 wheeler when they come out, for a comparison, or don't compare, treat it like a new bike.
How many KMs out of that 18-litre tank..?

17 thousand dollars for the gt model in Australia , good value
How does it go on the gravel?
Is that Sport Maxx the Q3?
Speed limiter. Trottle limiter. Rpm limiter off and standart stock engine can go 270kph and some more bro ehehehe
Tracer 900 GT, Triumph Tiger 800 XRx, or Honda VFR800X Crossrunner?
Lol I'd never bother with the crossrunner, it's so heavy and lazy... Tracer or Tiger any day. Both are great.
The VRF800X Crossrunner all the way!!!
@Arno D - You've obviously never ridden one!!! or can't afford a Crossrunner!

In Malaysia this is called Yamaha MT-09 Tracer
"pirate bike" - good one :)
The last model was also slip clutch
What you need 200-220/???? For what? Reach 250? For what?
I agree!! These kind of bikes are for those people who are trying to compensate for something they're lacking...…….
Autobahn
Woask autobahn fine, but you need a big BMW K1600 or Yamaha Fjr 1300 for that. Me I avoid autobahn.....
For fun ;)

manuel mouro tens de ter mais atenção! O homem fez a versão em português...
+miguel galamba quando?
270 kph without the limiter
You don't mean the tracer has 150hp?
More like 115 hp
Time management
I would rather the VRF 800X Crossrunner, same fun, better quality and a 20L fuel tank!!
You must buy a motorcycle with your brain not your heart!!
better quality ...hm.....

Well each to his own as they say!
With this bike you loose your license in 1 week
Why don’t you do your research properly before you film
