Daniil is young... he needs to earn the fame.. and he's starting to earned it. Good for him. They met twice only, Rafa can adjust to his Game or figured him out soon. Rafa is getting married this coming October and might be back next year or maybe not playing the Australian Open.

Well this years US Open certainly saved the best for last, what an absolute epic that was. So much tension, drama, excitement and so many amazing rallies. Both players showed fantastic heart and determination, Medvedev fighting back from 2 sets down and almost coming back from a double break down in the 5th, and Nadal saving break points when he was under real pressure at the start of the 5th and then again especially in the final game when he'd missed 2 match points in the previous game. Medvedev will be a future grand slam winner, no doubt. As for Rafa 19 slams now, truly phenomenal stuff and yet again showing his incredible fighting spirit, how many times have we seen it?!
Thank you to both players for what will definitely go down as an all time classic final.

He did play well... and Rafa was a bit careful on his potent forehand winners... forcing some unforced errors from Rafa. Daniil is hard to read with his angles shot putting... That anchored elbow is hard to read before his racket hits the ball... In addition, Daniil's eye coordination before it hits the ball ...tracks or glimpse of where his opponent stands or about to move.

Bharath Purohit, the difference being that Federer won all 20 without having had to resort to cheating. The same can't be said for Nadal. Medvedev had all the momentum today but Nadal disrupted his rhythm by continually cheating and holding up play, not only on his own serve but also when Medvedev was trying to serve. Nadal and Djokovic are known to have done this right throughout their respective careers. Federer has never had to resort to cheating and therefore will always be the GOAT. Had Federer resorted to such cheating, he'd have undoubtedly won at least another 10 slams by now. Nadal is a fraud and deserves condemnation for his cheating.

Most dominant level of tennis at French, translates his game well to hard and grass, has beaten prime Roger on grass, and prime Novak on hard, best winning percentage in open era, has accomplished the most in the least amount of time and games played, built his entire career on prime Fed and prime Novak, and ton more I can mention but that's on my channel. This match wasn't so much about Medvedev playing great, it was more about Nadal himself almost completely self-destructing. Rafa wanted this title so much that it didn't allow him to concentrate properly. He must've had like million thoughts rushing through his head during those match points. I don't think I've ever seen Rafa this tight and on the edge. But like the amazing warrior that he is, he still managed to conquer his demons in his head and prevailed in the end.
