I was born into Christianity, although my family is full of sinners who chose to not repent. I am very in debate with myself to choose christianity or Islam, I sometimes watched videos of david wood. But the thing what stands out the most is to see how peacefully you are reacting, instead of how David wood is "defending". I first came across Brother Adnan Rasheed's video where he responded to the late Nabeel Quraysh's "disturbing video" in which he (Nabel Quraysh) not only insulted but vilified our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). This particular video had over a million views and I did not come across a counter video on time, reason why I called it a "disturbing video". My desperate search for a counter to Nabel's video brought me to Brother Adnan Rasheed and I have been his ardent follower since then. This Brother's knowledge of history and theology is amazing. May Allah continue to grant you beneficial knowledge. On David Wood, each time I listened to him or watched his video, I kept wondering how he was able to lead Nabeel Quraysh astray.

Surah 4:3 allows only 4 wives. Surah 33:52 made Mohammad an exception. Even paradise is full of women to satisfy sexual desires of men. Sahih Al-Bukhari 4879-Allah’s Apostle said: "In Paradise there is a pavilion made of a single hollow pearl sixty miles wide, in each corner of which there are wives who will not see those in the other corners; and the believers will visit and enjoy them." So women get to wait for their turn to have sex with their husband when he wants. Is this paradise for women, or hell? Clearly the true God would not be obsessed with making sure Mohammad's sexual desires for multiple women were fulfilled. These were self serving "revelations" from the false prophet Mohammad. How can you say he answered David wood, when he didn't give a single "unequivocal" verse in Qur'an where it says the new testament is corrupted. He just said the Qur'an and the Gospels differ in what they say, but he has to prove that the Qur'an is the true one and to prove that, he has to give an unequivocal statement in the Qur'an right? The answer I got from this video is that he doesn't have an answer. He doesn't have an unequivocal statement in the Qur'an where it says the gospels have been corrupted. I'll see if some other guy has the answer for it. Otherwise...... I don't think David has to recite the shahaada.

So when he just answers with “they altered it with their tongue” means that the Quran claims the Gospel has been corrupted is not exactly comparable with someone who applies Gods title to himself, - while still somehow not being a blasphemer, and instead he was a true prophet of Islam... who applies Allah’s titles to himself. Rashid has to interpret the Quran in a way that confirms that the Gospel have been corrupted... while muslims complain about Jesus never saying “I am God worship me”, and Christians are not allowed to interpret things like “I and the Father are one” as meaning “he is the same person as the Father”. To know who He is, with all those titles for Him. That is why he did all those works of love before. So that is why before resurrection Jesus revealed himself as God like the "Word", like "Light of the world", like "I am", like "Truth, Way and The Life", like "Ressurection and Life", like "one who takes away the sin of the world", and so on (which are also claims for God). And after the resurrection, he confirmed it clearly to the people, confirming it clearly to Thomas and disciples after saying those words " I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear"; when he confirmed it not indirectly, but DIRECTLY: John 20, 28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. When he says "Resurrection and Life", he reveals also as God who resurrects people. And so on. That is why Jesus revealed in all those steps. And that is why he wanted to do all those works of love before! He wanted for people to know Him! I was born into Christianity, although my family is full of sinners who chose to not repent. I have read the Bible through and through several times, always fighting some thoughts of doubt in my mind. Isn’t worshiping a man as if he were God himself Idolatry?!? Jesus is the divine pre-existent Word of Allah and Spirit that came forth from him in order to enter into Mary for the express purpose of becoming human (Q. 3:45; 4:171). In these passages, Allah makes it very clear that he is not obstructed in being able to give Mary a child, as quoted in Surah 19 Ayat 16-21 (chapter 19 verses 16-21) “Easy is that for me”.
However, in Surah 6 Ayat 101 (chapter 6 verse 101), It says how could Allah have a son without a companion?
So why can Mary conceive a child through a virgin birth, but Allah cannot have a son unless it is through a sexual union with a companion?

Surah 4:34 tells men to beat/scourge their wives if they disobey.
Surah 23:1-6 and 70:22-30 tells Muslims they may have sex with their wives AND those captives whom their right hands possess.
That Mohammad was allowed more wives than Allah allowed other men. Surah 4:3 allows only 4 wives. Surah 33:52 made Mohammad an exception.
Even paradise is full of women to satisfy sexual desires of men. How can you say he answered David wood, when he didn't give a single "unequivocal" verse in Qur'an where it says the new testament is corrupted.
He just said the Qur'an and the Gospels differ in what they say, but he has to prove that the Qur'an is the true one and to prove that, he has to give an unequivocal statement in the Qur'an right?

So when he just answers with “they altered it with their tongue” means that the Quran claims the Gospel has been corrupted is not exactly comparable with someone who applies Gods title to himself, - while still somehow not being a blasphemer, and instead he was a true prophet of Islam... who applies Allah’s titles to himself.
Rashid has to interpret the Quran in a way that confirms that the Gospel have been corrupted... while muslims complain about Jesus never saying “I am God worship me”, and Christians are not allowed to interpret things like “I and the Father are one” as meaning “he is the same person as the Father”.

Jesus said he was God - not indirectly, but he DIRECTLY confirmed Thomas with words he is Lord and God:
John 20, 28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
He also said he is "I am" (name Yahweh) (John 8,58, John 13,19, John 8,24). It is good thing to know Jesus didn't want to say those things clearly earlier. Beacuse he would have no ground to stand upon with claim "hey guys, I am God" without all those works of love before. Think about it. That someone comes to you and just say "I am God guys!" - on what ground you should believe him? On none. He has to have to ground to stand upon. Jesus wants people to know him. To know who He is, with all those titles for Him. That is why he did all those works of love before. Because all people couldn't bear only with claim ("hey, this is my claim, so believe me") - no, God doesn't approach people that way:
John 16, 12 I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear.
So that is why before resurrection Jesus revealed himself as God like the "Word", like "Light of the world", like "I am", like "Truth, Way and The Life", like "Ressurection and Life", like "one who takes away the sin of the world", and so on (which are also claims for God).
And after the resurrection, he confirmed it clearly to the people, confirming it clearly to Thomas and disciples after saying those words " I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear"; when he confirmed it not indirectly, but DIRECTLY:
John 20, 28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.
But even though Jesus himself spoke directly to himself as God, and just as the Jews accused him of claiming to be God (because he claimed to be) - John 10,33 “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”
Muslims still do not see that the claim "I am God" that anyone can say is not stronger (!) than all the divine titles Jesus took for himself. Why do we know this? Well, which God, if you just say "I am God"? What can this "god" do? What is his nature? Some pagan "god" who nothing can do? God which is only creator? And his words should be evidence to know it is He? Or God who can also take sins of the world? God who can incarnate in flesh. God who guides people. God who can intervene. Not just some omnipotent being. So when Jesus say "I am" this is actual name of Abrahamic God, and because of it it is stronger than claim "guys, I am God" (!). When he says "Resurrection and Life", he reveals also as God who resurrects people. And so on. That is why Jesus revealed in all those steps. And that is why he wanted to do all those works of love before! He wanted for people to know Him! He wanted to be recognized by them when he broke the bread, he wanted to be known by heart when he appeared in form of other man - he wanted them to recognize who He Is - with all those titles he shared about Himself and works of love, before he openly claim "Lord and God" which he claimed as we see also, but it is less important than those specific divine titles which more accurately describes which God He Is. :)
