A fun machine. Can it do steel cans?

I know this is old, but cool setup. I was wondering if a drill would be strong enough. Heres my answer haha. Corded would definitely be sweet! I think im going to use an old bench grinder

So.... it's interesting. But.... I'm not sure what (how do I put this) you've "solved", or made a solution for, here. You've got a (frankly enormous, given the "problem") contraption that does actually crush cans. I'd kind of put it in the category of "Step I", as in "ok, figured out a basic way to make it happen". But in terms of "elegant", clever, practical, useful, (compact?), it's still miles away. I don't mean to be mean or insulting or anything (unlike so many people on RUclips!) - you probably just wanted to, well, make a can crusher that simply worked (and this was 8 or so years ago), for fun. But I'd sorta challenge you to take this to "Step II" -- now that you made *something* work -- how can you make something GOOD. >;-)

But it was fun wasn't it? Personally, before making anything I shall try a big hammer on a tree stump.
