Hi, Cheri. The AB "seed" beads ( 4:10 ) are called rocaille beads (ro-kale). They are made of glass and have a metallic lining inside the hole. If the glass "stones", at 4:46 , were opalite they would have an adularescent "shimmer" inside them. There are two fairly common black gemstones, onyx and jet. The piece at 28:01 can be used as a purse charm as well. I make those myself, as well as many other bead crafts.
Hi Cheri, The way you test a cameo to see if it is genuine shell is: Put a flashlight against the cameo. If you can see light through it the cameo is genuine shell. If not it's resin or something else. I enjoy your channel so much. I have learned from you concerning vintage jewelry. Thank you. I will try to share what I know with you. ❤

Your prices are quite fair if things would be purchased new in jewelry store they would be much higher. You have to make a profit and seem to be willing to negotiate. Your doing very good job cheri 😊
@48:00 do those earrings match the huge ring with lg necklace from earlier in the video? I know they're not pearl, but the metal works look similar.✌🌻🐦
@BlessedBaubles i like the long ones. here's my situation. I have been entirely screwed since March 24, 2020 by covid. Long covid, MECFS, MCAS, POTS, vertigo, horrible pain & spasms, and more. Many days I'm completely bedbound. Other days I can get out of bed after 8 or 9 hours of effort. With MECFS, any cognitive or emotional or physical effort screws us up. Can't read. can't listen to podcasts. can't watch movies. can't talk. can't have friends visit. It's brutally isolating and lonely. it sucks. Why your videos are so wonderful for me is there's no plot. no jumpy editing. If a pain wave washes over me, no big deal if I miss a minute or two. There's nothing I have to keep track of in order to enjoy. 💗🙏 Plus I love the process and I'm one of those people who rocks follow home. 🤣 So much fun to see Miss Priss in action. I'm cat people, so when the fur babies chime in it's just wonderful too. A lot of the time I can only handle videos of 5 to 7 minutes if they're not really well organized. like podcasts where it takes forever to get to a point, no can do. Say Yes To The Dress works well for me. Animal videos work well too. And you!
I must comment to the person who says your prices are to much..That is untrue, You have Amazing Prices. I’m surprised that the items are are not sold for more . I Appreciate you and your videos. I know, i know, everyone will slam me for the last comment here, saying you should never use soap to clean faceted costume jewelry cuz it could easily make the old glue come loose......But I look at it this way.....If my gentile scrubbing and cleaning makes a rhinestone or some faceted item come loose then guess what, it was about to come loose anyway.......And I would rather it come loose in my hands so I can reset it with clear fingernail polish properly..........It is better for it to finally give way in my hands as opposed to someone buying it from me online and then getting pissed off after they wear it a few times and the setting lets go and they lose it or have it but it's broken.........I would rather not make a sale as opposed to pissing off a long term repeat customer :).........I look at it as a litmus test for stomes that are about to fall out anyway.......The rate of settings that fall out or the faceting goes out is way less than 0.2% of all pieces I scrub down......Plus, it has eliminated problems down the road :)
I totally agree with you. But… on vintage pieces that do have more secure stones, I have learned the hard way about the scrubbing. I cleaned my grandmother’s brooches and did not realize the stones were coming out until after they were already down the drain. So sad! So I guess it all depends on the pieces, who’s they are, and where they are going. Thanks for the awesome input.
Funny you should say that... I just started selling good single earrings in my last video called, "Sterling Silver Sale Ep1". There will be a Ep2. Thanks for watching and for the advice. I have a whole bag of gorgeous singles that I have not been able to part with. And no time to list them. So I'll see how they go on my channel first. But I suspect eBay would be the best since there are many more eyeballs on eBay that are actually looking for single earrings. Do you sell them? Thanks again.
Thank you!!! I did want only white color. The package I bought didn’t have all white colors. I bought it as a kit to be sure the cards fit in the fold over bags. (I can’t do those zip bags). Can you share where I can get a good set? Thanks so much for saving me damage to the jewelry! 🙌🏼❤️
I am amazed that someone said that you had changed and now were trying to make money! So you are supposed to put out sometimes a few hundred dollars for these boxes from Goodwill and not try to make it back? You deserve to make an income from this endeavor. And, I cringe when you only charge $1. Paypal fees can clean you out quickly and $1 isn't enough. With PayPal's new fee structure they take $.52 out of that dollar and you only get $.48. Please charge at least $2 - $3 for these inexpensive items. I'll get off my soapbox now!

So happy to see you. 😊
Hi Cheri, The way you test a cameo to see if it is genuine shell is:
Put a flashlight against the cameo. If you can see light through it the cameo is genuine shell. If not it's resin or something else. I enjoy your channel so much. I have learned from you concerning vintage jewelry. Thank you. I will try to share what I know with you. ❤
Oh yes, I forgot about the flashlight tip. I get so in the moment that some things go right out of my head. Lol
I’d love to help each other, any time. 😊
Good morning Cheri! Thanks so much for the shout out!! I was watching your video on my big TV and haven't had a chance to get on my computer to leave this comment until now. I'm so happy you love the hour-- er, I mean second glass necklace ^_^ Thanks so much. I love Presi the way she is but maybe some new eyes every now and again could be fun. Have a blessed day!
Hi Laura, so glad you saw the shout out. I really do love the necklace. So cute!!!
Yes, I keep meaning to make Miss Prissy some new eyes. I sketched them in like 2 seconds as a joke one day. It was never meant to be a thing, but it turned into one and we all love it. I’ll work on some eyes soon.
👍🏼 See you at the Baubles! 👍🏼 😁
Hi Sherri...as always a great video...I do believe those are napkin rings...my mother had some that looked like those!...keep the videos coming!...oh btw I enjoyed your horse story on Lilly Works channel!
My horse story on Lily Works channel?
You'll have to remind me. lol
I just love Rachel to pieces.
Thanks! And so glad you are here.
I was the one that identified her little turquoise and coral tac pin as the barrel racer and you told your story about getting on a horse not knowing it was a barrel horse!
I was just writing the same but couldn't write. ❤
@@tammybarnes6670Oh!! Lol. I guess I did tell a story.
How cool that you read the comments like that.
You are so sweet.
And by the way, I forgot to thank you for letting me know that those big flower thingy’s are napping holders! That makes total sense.
Thanks again.
@@suzannel5931Thank you Suzanne
The abalone butterfly necklace is from Amway I have one from when we were selling their products years ago.
You know, I saw that on eBay! While I was proof watching the video, I heard myself spell the maker, and the name made more sense. So I looked it up and saw other butterfly pieces.
Thanks so much. Seems my price is right on. 👍🏼
Hi Cheri. Things are going well. Looks like you are doing great! Janis
Hi Janis,
I’m glad you are doing well. ❤
I’m glad my videos are coming across well for you too.
Hi sherry this is Betty and your price’s are fine and great . The person who said that let them go shopping and check what the stuff cost and your time and effort you put in. . Blessings to you
Ok thank you
Love the eyeballs, Prissy could enjoy an upgrade 😊
Alright. It seems people would not be too stunned if she had better eyes. I’ll see what I can do. 😅
I love what you add to the channel.
Thanks so much.
Your channel is my favorite of the jewelry channels! I love the low tech Subscribe and hope you have it laminated in a matte finish plastic to preserve it. Same with the purchasing instructions 😊 You’re the best!
Wow. Thanks for the very kind encouragement.
I’m so glad you are enjoying the channel and really glad you are here. ❤
Cameos is amazingly beautiful..
What would you say about her profile if you were listing her on eBay?
I’d really love some help.
I think she is very very unique, and i think that will really matter to someone out there who will love her. ❤
So happy you enjoyed your friend mail. First I have no idea what the necklace is with that clasp I thought you could research it. Also yes you can keep both bracelets. Of course. The special item is those earrings. I pretty sure they are sterling marked. Unless I'm losing it! I did think of you with the colors. And the marked things cause you always need them. Enjoy all the goodies. Share the little angel charm. Off to bed again finish video in morning. Loving it so far ❤❤❤
Awww, thank you so much!!
The earrings are stunning and they are marked “Fossil” which is as Sterling any day, girl. Its a great brand.
How SWEET of you to want to send me signed pieces that I need. And you were even willing to send me those Fossil earrings. Oh my heart!!
Thank you so so much. ❤😊
Your prices are quite fair if things would be purchased new in jewelry store they would be much higher. You have to make a profit and seem to be willing to negotiate. Your doing very good job cheri 😊
Thank you for your feedback and the lovely encouragement.
❤
Aloha Cheri 🤗👍🌺
@48:00 do those earrings match the huge ring with lg necklace from earlier in the video? I know they're not pearl, but the metal works look similar.✌🌻🐦
They are similar but not a match. Thank you for helping. ❤️
Love the green eyes, for miss Prissy🩷👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Do you think? I put the blue eye up to her because my eyes are blue, but I’ll see about adding some eyelashes and see how it looks.
Thanks Frieda!!
Blue is pretty also!
You could always have one eye blue &one eye brown🤭🤭🤭🩷
oooooooooh!!!!!! been looking forward to the next episode
I’m so happy to hear that you look forward to my videos! Thank you!!
This is along video. Do you mind it when the videos are long like this?
Plus I love the process and I'm one of those people who rocks follow home.
And you!
Sound is definitely better! 👍
Yay, thank you!
I must comment to the person who says your prices are to much..That is untrue, You have Amazing Prices. I’m surprised that the items are are not sold for more . I Appreciate you and your videos. I am learning. I’m thinking about reselling all different items. The research is frustrating.. Yet, I must learn.. My husband died 6-11.. our Son just turned 18 in May. With a kidney disease I cannot work. I literally live moment by moment..I Trust God will Guide me.. He always has..Again Thank you.. 🙏🙏🙏🤟🕊

Much luck with whatever you decide, I can tell you are a good person. So sorry for your loss!!😢
Jiggly eyes are so silly aren’t they…….along with blowing bubbles both would bring instant joy to my class of preschoolers.
It was very sweet of that subscriber to send me something she thought would give me a laugh.
I bet we’d all feel better if we took 15 minutes a day to paste Google eyes on something and blow bubbles. 😁
Preschoolers know how to enjoy life. Such a great age!! I commend you for the very important work you are doing by pouring into those precious kids. ❤️
They were the Peridot earrings that one of the gems was in the bag but the gold bead ball was not there!
Yes. It needs a quick bit of help. I can have my jeweler fix it lickidy split, or it can be purchased as is, and fixed by a crafts person. I’ll take a closer look for this bead ball you mention. It’s probably here 👍🏼😄
Their napkin holders for weddings or any banquet s. Ok the glass flower daisies ok.
The sound is so much better ❤
Yay!! That’s music to my ears!!
Thanks for letting me know.
Hi Chri, o that earrings aqua color, I love❤
Do you mean the dang,y earrings with the big aqua stones? And the sterling wires?
If so, they are very striking for sure. If they don’t sell, they will be keepers. 🤭

At 54:06, those gold lantern earrings would look great with your new “second glass” necklace, don’t you think? 😊

Hi Cheri I don’t know if you remember but about a week ago or so I mentioned seeing you do a box opening and was inspired to do the same, so I ordered an 8 lbs bag of jewelry on eBay, well I’m receiving it today the 24, rather than on the 22, like I thought. But I will keep you posted on the baubles. Btw if there’s any way I can send you a video of my unboxing that is if I can get it approved by my grandma to do so please let me know. Otherwise I will just keep you posted via the comments. Thx again for being an inspiration.

From what I’ve learned, at what others say, it tests very high on the glass marking.

No competition here...not a reseller. That being said, as a winter doldrum hobby...and being familiar with Goodwill e-commerce in general...are there key words to enter to pull up bulk jewelry lots? Would hope to not ever purchase 20 lbs. of plastic pop-it beads! Lol
Have you found some Goodwill online locations fairer/safer to deal with than others? Yikes, hope I haven't asked anything inappropriate.😮
Best regards always!
Hello Community,
So great to see your comment.
I am no expert at SGW boxes but I do talk about how I shop for them in some of my videos.
It would take up too much space to repeat it all here. So, feel free to email me and I’ll share any helpful tips that I can. The main thing I find is to look at the pictures in the auctions and when you see enough things that look worth it, go for it.
Its still no guarantee, but it helps.
I wish you the very best!!
👍🏼 See you at the Baubles! 👍🏼❤
I think it’s napkin rings the first bag you open
Thanks!!
Love your videos! Do you think, maybe Salvatore Dali designed that cameo?lol
Which cameo? The left facing? Or the right facing cameo?
I’ll take a look at this name you have given and see what you mean.
Thanks !!
Cheri, I think the item Cindy made with the large lobster claw clasp and blue lampwork bead is a purse charm. How about the smaller googly eyes looking up at Miss Prissy from the lower corner of the Presidium? 💖🌹💍💎

34:00 --> If someone slams you for holding out then they don't know how to date old costume jewelry.....those 2 bracelets w/ soldered/welded linkage are clearly 1940's or older.......if anyone blames you for wanting too much money it is probably because they want it, they are jealous & they can't afford it..........Trust me, if they got it from you for a steal they would probably flip it unless they really really wanted it to wear and enjoy........
Amen and thank you very much.
Feel free to comment any time. lol.
And thank you for being generous enough to comment. Many vintage jewelry knowledgeable people would keep hush and not let on that something is special. And I understand why people need to be that way too. I really do. But its nice when someone really gets it.

Hi 👋 👋 👋 👋
Hello!! Thanks so much for the cheers!
So glad you are here.
Napkin rings?!

They are serviettes
would love a time stamp so I can see what you are referring to. Thank you!
There is a market for nice single earrings. Don’t just toss really nice singles in bags for craft. List them.
If you haven’t joined our Facebook group yet, I’d love to have you there.

I love your soapbox and I love you for your very kind support. Thank you for the reminder on the PayPal fees! I forget about that, but you are right. It’s important.
