This is one of the best fix it videos on the internet. No wasted time blabbering on about what/how/when/whatever. We all know that, it's why we're here. And then! THE CLOSEUP! So awesome. All these people can learn a lot from you about making a fix it video.
My window would not go down on a return home trip early in the morning. We did the cardboard and duct tape trick. I saw this video, and Shazaam! Wow, your a pretty cool dude in my book.👍
NOTE: on my 2007 Ram 2500 you unscrew the switch housing. Push and turn left about 5-10 degrees And it will jiggle out. no NOT PRY open. you’ll damage the housing
I am not sure, I have not had the issue with my front window. You could try to see if the other side control works on it. I would have to see what the wiring pins look like to determine if they are the same as the back switch.
I did not. I know it was not a bad switch as I tried the one from the other door. I am thinking it may be wires are pinched where they go from the door to the cab.
Glad that helped. weird thing for me is that my window started working again (from the drivers controls) after I did this. My thought is a bad switch or maybe the wires got crimped in the door? I haven't dug deeper yet.
@@dwighthires3163 it was weird it didn't work from either controls, I did this to get the window up and a day later it started working again from the front control. I need to check the wiring.
@@LHHomestead I replaced the switch and it now works. My problem was different from your because my switch was indeed bad. Now it has been problem free for a month.

I have that problem but with front windows how do I rolled them up?

For me it was the main switch that fix the problem with rear passenger problem
So are you saying the one on the drivers door. I replaced the rear switch and that did not work.
I have the same problem!
Did you ever figure out what the problem was?
I did not. I know it was not a bad switch as I tried the one from the other door. I am thinking it may be wires are pinched where they go from the door to the cab.
Having the same problem, this got my window up thanks for the advice. Maybe the window switch has gone bad?
Glad that helped. weird thing for me is that my window started working again (from the drivers controls) after I did this. My thought is a bad switch or maybe the wires got crimped in the door? I haven't dug deeper yet.
Thank you for this tip. I am just wondering that if it is a bad switch then it shouldn't it work from the front control?

This hack is a saving grace. Thanks dor sharing it.
Glad it was helpful!
What was the actual fix?
I have not looked into since, But the weird thing is that the drivers side control will roll it up since I did this.
Thank you for this tip. I will report back after I try it.
please do, I am curious if it works.
Totally worked for me.

We ever find out what the cause was?
