I gotta give you props for this. The temple that the giants built in honor for Thamur had time magic sealed in it, so it’s absolutely plausible. 👏🏻 you just expanded the possibilities for more new theories.
I don't think they would put THIS much effort just to make it look pretty and have the player just walk on it. There has to be a reason for it. My guess is there's a good chance we'll come back to this place and that more is revealed. Part 4 really left a lot of story space. I hope 5 will be packed with bosses, story, and of course the brutality of the last 3.

Also since the Jotunheim tower was hidden in the realm between realms, wouldn’t it conceal both sides? For lack of a better way of explaining, they revealed their input location (on Midgard) but their output location (The Jotunheim side) was still in the realm between realms?
Atreus tells Freya (just after he's recovered from the sickness) that the window looks like Bifrost crystal and i think TIME & SPACE are manipulated by Kratos and Atreus while traveling from realm to realm using the Bifrost
Cool theory although i think they did it cause the temple would probably not be at the top of the mountain and getting to its top would take an unnecessary amount of time and it wouldn't serve the story Also i think the same thing happened when odin and tyr visited jotunheim for the last time where the giants banished odin forever from their realm
I really wouldn't put it past Tyr and the Giants to do something like this. You have Kratos and The World Serpent who have both traveled through time in some way. Then you have at least the Giants, who have been able to do miraculous things, such as predicting the future, and giving Mimir a set of abilities via his eyesight. Given how Odin is portrayed to be in at least GoW4, the Giants would definitely have to do what they can to be a step above him, just for their survival.
That’s actually pointed in the song you hear playing in the background when you enter Jotunheim. It’s called “Lullaby of the giants”. Listen to the song and read the translated lyrics, one ligne straight up says “we hide in time” or “in time we hide”.
There is an interesting fact i want share when we reach the location for the final battle with baldur we see a bird in top right corner and when we reach Jountheim we see a bird when we see the pictures of the final battle so i think the bird can be related to something(it was not one of the birds of odin)
I wonder if the souls of the giants are in Helheim. I mean if you think about it Hel, the goddess of death, is the daughter of Loki and the giant bird in Helheim is also supposedly a giant, and if I remember correctly, in the Norse mythology, Odin was the one who banished and made her ruler of part of the underworld, which is something he later regret, which is interesting since as I said at the beginning that their souls are most likely in Helheim that is ruled by Hel; and the most important question is why aren't the souls of the Giants in Valhalla, due to the evidence of a battle in Jotunheim, an afterlife that only warriors that are felled in battle that is also ruled by Odin, which is because the Valkyrie, who are in charge of guiding these fallen warriors to Valhalla, were cursed by Odin because of his divorce with Freya, ex-queen of the Valkyrie and not only that, they owed us due to helping them free from their curse.
It's quite simple feya didn't know the future because she was a stroller instead she already live those moments and yep came back as only survivor and married kratos as she would already meet her. But maybe she wanted to change how exactly ragnarok happened and wanted a different thus saving her companion giants and other life of other realms. Since ragnarok is end of world's and yep asgard. Thus she maybe the one with good ideas which would again make kratos and atreus heroes like when kratos got power of hope from pandora box and at the end of God of war 3 we all thought him as an hero instead of a mindless monster. I have a strange theory but i think its plausible. What if mimir is tyr who has lost his memory and was imprisoned by odin. If tyr, kratos and loki witness the death of the snake. Fenrir could born from jormungander's mouth. Remember behind the chest where you find mimir's eye, there's a frezed wolf. Fenrir could kill in rage mimir remembering the tyr, enemy of the timeline from which the wolf comes. Where tyr loses his arm and sides with the aesir. Loki could hold dying mimir, while crying. The boy gives birth to a new jormungander with anger and pain. This would explain the man in the drawing in jotunheim
Another video said they went through the secret path tyr made for them which brought them right to the peak where they needed to go. When we open the gate to jotenheim at the summit, you can see the rock that looks like fingers because that was the front entrance that you would go through at the realm travel room. We only saw a small piece of the realm and the ashes could either revive the dead giants or signal the living ones that are in hiding that it’s safe to come out because the guardian has returned. One of the giants will be atreus wife
This actually makes alotta sense cause then that would explain how they knew everything Kratos and Atreus did on the journey.. tbh the theories we have depend on how time travel works in the GOW universe

At first, I thought what you see in Jotunheim is all just an illusion. But it makes sense that Jotunheim could be hidden in time. Tyr and the giants made sure to keep Jotunheim away from the Aesir and also, time is different in each realm. Good video, kap.

What IF Jötunheim is based in another Timeline rather than the main Timeline itself? the Jötunheim that Kratos and Atreus travels to is the one that the Giants already lost in but Both Kratos and Atreus still thinks it is connected to their timeline thus not paying attention as to why they're dead. You walk thru a magical doorway in jotenheim before the bridge, makes sense it’s an illusion, can also see the jotenheim tower in realm between realms fist time your there. Also for some reason, after the horn blows, and after Jotenheim the realm travel bridge is pointed towards Vanaheim
^before jotenheim as if freyas now able to travel there and does with balder, maybe Odin binded the curses to him ( freyas weakness as she’d never hurt/break her spell on balder) and she brought his body to Vanaheim to do magic and attempt to bring him back, or just get allies. Also Jotenheim looks desolate like it couldn’t even support life, I don’t think that it’s all of jotenheim/ or is an illusion from walking thru the magic doorway that teleports you to the bridge. Maybe the ashes break that spell.
Perhaps Thor managed to sneek into Jotunheim when we get to the summit and use the rune. Because the camera and the characters are focused on Baldur, niether us nor the characters saw Thor go through.

My theory is Faye and tyr have a plan. Tyr is in jotenheim with the giants, but in a different time. Fayes ashes spreading across jotenheim is the signal to tyr the plan worked and kratos and Atreus have started ragnarok. So tyr and the giants (and maybe Faye from another point in time?) know when to come out of hiding after the three year winter to help Loki fight in ragnarok
I have no doubt it was Atreus from the future blowing the horn, to tell jormungander that Atreus will need his help in the fight against Baldur. tyrs time traveling is how I think all of Loki’s kids will be in the fight
What if there was some disease that killed all of the giants created by Odin to try and kill the prophesied bringer of ragnarok but he never knew about Kratos he probably just assumed the father of the Jotun that kills the gods would also be Jotun. But since Atreus/Loki is quarter Greek god and quarter Titan that keeps him from being killed, but it still has an affect on him, like we see in the game when he gets sick. Maybe Freyja wasn’t just talking about the fact that he’s a god, but also of his Jotun blood.

Have yall thought that kratos might take tyrs place in the prison it could give a chance to enjoy some loki gameplay along with tyr training him for some time, before rescuing kratos. I dont know how they would smoothly fit that in but it would be an interesting twist. Them rescuing tyr like you said is an interesting thought though.
Maybe thats why the murals in jotunheim have the story of the game, the battle with baldur, etc. Because the realm of jotunheim its really in the future🤯 just a crazy theory
with odin taking mimir's eye to prevent him from travelling, i believe its more mimirs eyes create a path, same as tyr's would, with the fact what i will call the "twigs" still surround this "path" leading to jotunheim and because obviously without the travel crystal we can't lock into the bridge on jotunheims side, so its just another way to get to there, i dont think there is any other meaning by it and it could be a way to get around the locks odin put on all the realms
Theory: Do the Olympian and Titan gods’ souls make their own way into Elysium as the Norse gods’ souls make their own way into Valhalla? I know Kratos went to the underworld after Zeus killed him, but in GoW III there doesn’t seem to be any notes in the underworld that suggest the Olympians/Titans have judgment, yet Hades knows about Poseidon’s death, so maybe he saw Poseidon’s soul enter Elysium? Also, what about the other great heroes of Greece? Like Achilles, Ajax, Odysseus, etc. What happened to them? Do they exist in the GoW universe? Do they rule mankind, or were they all killed by the Second Titanomachy?
A friend of minds think that the Jotunhim is far bigger than a player would think and that basically Kratos and Atreus only been to a a part of it where it is a graveyard and Tyr told the giants to place the corpses of there deseased breteren there so if the asier come into Jothenhim they will be fooled by the giants into thinking they are dead already. So it is possible that the giants are still alive.
It is strange how the first time you see through the gate to Jotunheim from the summit (before baldur / dragon fight) you can only see the bridge across to he giants temple, but then from the travel room it takes you to the bottom of the steps which in turn leads to that bridge. Why have two different starting points when entering the realm? no other realm (as far as we know) has multiple entry points?! Plus the sort of blinding light gate that you go through at the top of the steps... same shape as gate on the summit... maybe some one built some steps from the travel room entrance that goes directly to the top of the mountain instead of having to climb all that way every time? (think Brok's shortcuts through the stone gates) Also surely if the steps are built on the branches of the world tree then they HAVE to be in the realm between realms by definition? with the 'real' gate being at the top when you go through the light. who knows, could just be artistic. lol
I don’t think time travel would be a thing in god of war ragnarok i mean yeah they got away with it in god of war 2 because we got back to the moment when zeus was killing kratos so something weird wasn’t going to happen like 2 kratos in the same timeline but i don’t see them doing that unless they are traveling to a timeline where kratos and atreus aren’t there ( possibly dead or aren’t in the specific location ) idk that’s my idea let me know what you think about it
Ik Tyr is trying to help the giants, but why would he hide them in time, just for them to die come Ragnarok? Is he admitting that it is impossible to prevent Ragnarok? Or is he willing to wait for Ragnarok as long as that means the Aesir will die too, but he is supposed to die in Ragnarok as well.
The giants are not really there. It is some kind of spell that only other giants can see through. Notice how Atreus said “they are all gone” not “dead” he couldn’t see anything. we as the player are seeing things through Kratos’ eyes hence why we see the Giant corpses
1. What if the Jothenhium they travelled to was from the timeline where Kratos didn't have a purpose. (The old timeline) 2. The stairs are connected to the tree branches, thus they must be time travelling aa the tree is connected to time and they are ascending
I have a question, what is baldur actually searching for?. We know he was looking for Faye, and assumes kratos is Faye, but during the fight he says that if kratos had given him what he wanted he would've left him go, that he was not his brother. Not to mention that baldur at the time didn't know about atreus( he mentions why there are two beds).

I'm a fan of the theory that Loki, that is to say Atreus' future self, has already experienced Ragnarok and has already been screwing with time. That's why Ragnarok is happening early. Perhaps Kratos finally told Atreus EVERYTHING in attempt to prevent his son from repeating the same mistakes. But then Ragnarok happens, and having not taken his father's lessons to heart. Distraught at his actions, he remembers about Jormungandr being sent back in time and what his father told him about the SIsters of Fate. Kratos: Fate is another lie told by the gods. Nothing is written that cannot be unwritten.
I have my own theory , you see mine told in hel that time works different in each realm so maybe the time in the realm of the giants have already faced ragnorok. I could be wrong though

What if a sickness went around that drove The Giants insane after Ragnarok because war tends to send people crazy is it possible that the Giants went crazy and killed each other and then Kratos an Loki stumbled upon the massacre

This actually makes alotta sense cause then that would explain how they knew everything Kratos and Atreus did on the journey.. tbh the theories we have depend on how time travel works in the GOW universe

do you think that the hood we saw kratos wearing on the cover of the fallen god is the same cloth material in which his blades were found in GOW 4, because the pattern on the cape is similar to the cloth blades were covered as seen in the 2 bit animated god of war game

At first, I thought what you see in Jotunheim is all just an illusion. But it makes sense that Jotunheim could be hidden in time. Tyr and the giants made sure to keep Jotunheim away from the Aesir and also, time is different in each realm. Good video, kap.

@@KaptainKuba To me, Jotunheim is similar to Pandora’s box and the Power of hope. It’s something that you seek in the first game, gets kind of forgotten in the second game, but becomes much bigger and more important in the third game.

What IF Jötunheim is based in another Timeline rather than the main Timeline itself? the Jötunheim that Kratos and Atreus travels to is the one that the Giants already lost in but Both Kratos and Atreus still thinks it is connected to their timeline thus not paying attention as to why they're dead. Maybe in Their own timeline The giants actually win in the future according to prophecy of Ragnarök. The Jötunheim of the main timeline might still have the giants alive?

You walk thru a magical doorway in jotenheim before the bridge, makes sense it’s an illusion, can also see the jotenheim tower in realm between realms fist time your there. Also for some reason, after the horn blows, and after Jotenheim the realm travel bridge is pointed towards Vanaheim
^before jotenheim as if freyas now able to travel there and does with balder, maybe Odin binded the curses to him ( freyas weakness as she’d never hurt/break her spell on balder) and she brought his body to Vanaheim to do magic and attempt to bring him back, or just get allies. Also Jotenheim looks desolate like it couldn’t even support life, I don’t think that it’s all of jotenheim/ or is an illusion from walking thru the magic doorway that teleports you to the bridge. Maybe the ashes break that spell.
Perhaps Thor managed to sneek into Jotunheim when we get to the summit and use the rune. Because the camera and the characters are focused on Baldur, niether us nor the characters saw Thor go through.

I think tyr's bridge to the jotunheim takes you to the future and the original brigde takes you to the pressed.

My theory is Faye and tyr have a plan. Tyr is in jotenheim with the giants, but in a different time. Fayes ashes spreading across jotenheim is the signal to tyr the plan worked and kratos and Atreus have started ragnarok. So tyr and the giants (and maybe Faye from another point in time?) know when to come out of hiding after the three year winter to help Loki fight in ragnarok
I have no doubt it was Atreus from the future blowing the horn, to tell jormungander that Atreus will need his help in the fight against Baldur. tyrs time traveling is how I think all of Loki’s kids will be in the fight
What if there was some disease that killed all of the giants created by Odin to try and kill the prophesied bringer of ragnarok but he never knew about Kratos he probably just assumed the father of the Jotun that kills the gods would also be Jotun. But since Atreus/Loki is quarter Greek god and quarter Titan that keeps him from being killed, but it still has an affect on him, like we see in the game when he gets sick. Maybe Freyja wasn’t just talking about the fact that he’s a god, but also of his Jotun blood.

Have yall thought that kratos might take tyrs place in the prison it could give a chance to enjoy some loki gameplay along with tyr training him for some time, before rescuing kratos. I dont know how they would smoothly fit that in but it would be an interesting twist. Them rescuing tyr like you said is an interesting thought though.
Maybe thats why the murals in jotunheim have the story of the game, the battle with baldur, etc. Because the realm of jotunheim its really in the future🤯 just a crazy theory

with odin taking mimir's eye to prevent him from travelling, i believe its more mimirs eyes create a path, same as tyr's would, with the fact what i will call the "twigs" still surround this "path" leading to jotunheim and because obviously without the travel crystal we can't lock into the bridge on jotunheims side, so its just another way to get to there, i dont think there is any other meaning by it and it could be a way to get around the locks odin put on all the realms
Theory: Do the Olympian and Titan gods’ souls make their own way into Elysium as the Norse gods’ souls make their own way into Valhalla? I know Kratos went to the underworld after Zeus killed him, but in GoW III there doesn’t seem to be any notes in the underworld that suggest the Olympians/Titans have judgment, yet Hades knows about Poseidon’s death, so maybe he saw Poseidon’s soul enter Elysium? Also, what about the other great heroes of Greece? Like Achilles, Ajax, Odysseus, etc. What happened to them? Do they exist in the GoW universe? Do they rule mankind, or were they all killed by the Second Titanomachy?
So everytime Kratos will visit Jotenheim the timeline of the realm will be ... different ?

A friend of minds think that the Jotunhim is far bigger than a player would think and that basically Kratos and Atreus only been to a a part of it where it is a graveyard and Tyr told the giants to place the corpses of there deseased breteren there so if the asier come into Jothenhim they will be fooled by the giants into thinking they are dead already. So it is possible that the giants are still alive.
It is strange how the first time you see through the gate to Jotunheim from the summit (before baldur / dragon fight) you can only see the bridge across to he giants temple, but then from the travel room it takes you to the bottom of the steps which in turn leads to that bridge. Why have two different starting points when entering the realm? no other realm (as far as we know) has multiple entry points?! Plus the sort of blinding light gate that you go through at the top of the steps... same shape as gate on the summit... maybe some one built some steps from the travel room entrance that goes directly to the top of the mountain instead of having to climb all that way every time? (think Brok's shortcuts through the stone gates) Also surely if the steps are built on the branches of the world tree then they HAVE to be in the realm between realms by definition? with the 'real' gate being at the top when you go through the light. who knows, could just be artistic. lol

I don’t think time travel would be a thing in god of war ragnarok i mean yeah they got away with it in god of war 2 because we got back to the moment when zeus was killing kratos so something weird wasn’t going to happen like 2 kratos in the same timeline but i don’t see them doing that unless they are traveling to a timeline where kratos and atreus aren’t there ( possibly dead or aren’t in the specific location ) idk that’s my idea let me know what you think about it

Ik Tyr is trying to help the giants, but why would he hide them in time, just for them to die come Ragnarok? Is he admitting that it is impossible to prevent Ragnarok? Or is he willing to wait for Ragnarok as long as that means the Aesir will die too, but he is supposed to die in Ragnarok as well.

The giants are not really there. It is some kind of spell that only other giants can see through. Notice how Atreus said “they are all gone” not “dead” he couldn’t see anything. we as the player are seeing things through Kratos’ eyes hence why we see the Giant corpses

2. The stairs are connected to the tree branches, thus they must be time travelling aa the tree is connected to time and they are ascending
I have a question, what is baldur actually searching for?. We know he was looking for Faye, and assumes kratos is Faye, but during the fight he says that if kratos had given him what he wanted he would've left him go, that he was not his brother. Not to mention that baldur at the time didn't know about atreus( he mentions why there are two beds).
Perhaps tyr is allied with the fates mentioned by atraeus at the beginning of the game

I'm a fan of the theory that Loki, that is to say Atreus' future self, has already experienced Ragnarok and has already been screwing with time. That's why Ragnarok is happening early.
Perhaps Kratos finally told Atreus EVERYTHING in attempt to prevent his son from repeating the same mistakes. But then Ragnarok happens, and having not taken his father's lessons to heart. Distraught at his actions, he remembers about Jormungandr being sent back in time and what his father told him about the SIsters of Fate.
