The thickness of this strip is 0.13 mm. And yes, it is pure nickel. The video shows me removing the plate from another battery. Somehow it was welded there.
@@ElectronicsEuphoriaFIX ok thank you, i think it's more suitable for welding new flex cable to li-ion mobile batteries , but too weak for welding strips to 18650 batteries
I also checked the welding of the battery. Tore off the tape from the battery and tried to weld it back. Nothing came of it. The tape is 0.11 mm thick.

Thickness determines the no. of amps the system can handle, one of the factor
Can you do a test with different thickness strips and also various / multiple batteries… 🪫 preferably the empty for testing
