- Happy Fiesta MALINAO SIARGAO ISLAND! Come with me to one of my favorite things about The Philippines- Fiestas! I have attended many fiestas, but this is Barbies Ice Creams first experience. I gave away free ice cream to celebrate fiesta, but I ran out to quickly... so we decided to buy all the dirty ice cream from kuya to give away to locals!
And my local friends caught 10 Sail Fish before our dragon boat training!!!!! YAY lots of KINILAW!

That's what fiesta means in the Philippines especially in the provinces. Giving or sharing one's blessings (food and happiness) to other people not related to you for the glory of our Lord God Almighty in Heaven. It is also the time for family gathering to reunite especially those who are coming from different places and some were coming home because of panata or promise for the blessings like good harvest, petitions or answered prayers or abundance they received in the past. Invite your parents or family to visit you down in the Philippines so that they'll see the beauty of my country.
As far as charity, maybe find out what's needed most from your local barangay captain? See what's needed in the community for the kids? Schooling or clothing? A food bank of some sorts? Water issues? Create an awareness for something you believe in and using your brand to even attract tourists to help with the local community.
