    I was watching a video about wiring old Singers, and they suggested using a grommet making tool on the wire leads, 4mm grommets, wrapping the wire around the grommet and then crimping. They then fit all the terminals perfectly making good contact

    So while I'm watching this and I am hearing the little clicking of your waving Kitty toy giving the vibe of countdown to the last second to diffuse something that could go boom. Definitely gives it more excitement 😄

    that foot controller's engineer was somebody's nephew who was "good with his hands" and needed a job
    I've refurbed a couple of different types of pre-WW2 oddball controllers with the most byzantine assortment of screws, tabs, and other fastening schemes.
    add a little corrosion to that socket fitting and they are a bear to get apart
    don't worry about going long with any video!
